I was looking forward to having a burger for lunch, when I walked in the restaurant a bunch of people crowding around the register. When I got up to the counter all of those people turned away from me. I had to get someone's attention just to take my order. Once I received my food, I opened the wrapper of the burger and saw , what looked like a Bite out of the burger. I quickly turned this into the manager, and she just grinned at me, and asked if I wanted another burger. Nope, hell no! I got my money back and left. Won't go back to that location again. Great customer service compared to other fast food places. Price was great! The biscuits and gravy were tasty. The gravy was perfect not too salty and not bland, the biscuits were soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was buttery and great. I waited thirty minutes in the drive-thru to get my food!!! I had to go in and tell them how long I had been out there and they all looked at the sack sitting on the counter and yes it was mine! I have to agree with the other reviewers, if you need to be anywhere at a certain time, do not enter this drive through. They are incredibly slow. The staff always seem burnt out and tired. The food is standard and exactly what you would expect. I live close by and have come here a few times and it is always the slowest. I'm talking 25 minute waits several times. I have been visiting this restaurant for years and the drive through service has always been great. Well at least up until recently. The crew that is in there at night needs some type of training and management immediately. The wait time is completely insane. Yesterday I wanted behind 4 cars for 21 minutes. This morning I saw 5 cars in line. As I pondered for a moment I thought surely that was just a fluke yesterday....Nope! Absolutely horrible customer service! I wanted an order of fries & pulled into the second lane waiting for someone to take my order as the other lane skipped ahead. By the time two cars had ordered the line was wrapped around the building so instead of pulling to the very end I followed behind the cars to order at the window. The cashier was TERRIBLE! At this store the star employee is Sherika. Good attitude, friendly and nice demeanor. Although she seemed tired from the rush of customers, she didn't stop smiling. I hope management sees this review so that she can be recognized for her excellent customer service and ability to represent the restaurant well. I score the store four stars rather than five only because the price for the Grilled Chicken is a bit high. It's the healthiest item on the menu and probably the best chicken sandwich of any fast food restaurants, but still about a buck too high. Either way, the employees make any store what it is. I can't for the life of me figure out why would a fast-food restaurant have two drive thru lanes open when they can't handle the traffic?? I have been very disappointed with the drive-thru service at this particular Whataburger because they simply don't value a customer's time. In stead of closing one of the drive thru lanes, when it is evident they couldn't handle the traffic, they allow the lane to be opened. And to add insult to injury, allowed you to place your order and then wait for more than 20 minutes without any acknowledgement that your order was being prepared. If you want to experience the most poorly run Whataburger in the U.S. you should drop by. My love for Whataburger lures me back here every couple months or so just to see if things have improved. The soda machine provides flat drinks. Long wait times and incorrect orders are the gold standard here. On a positive note the people are usually friendly and the burgers are good. So at 10:46pm on 04/28/2018 I went to the Burt kouns location there was 3 cars in drive through so I decided to go in there was one other customer in there we order our food then the customer that was in there ordered after me. I ordered a patty melt meal and a 9 piece bites meal both large after 10 minutes 4 other customers come in and order so we're all waiting. After 20 min the boy how ordered after us get his food ok I continue to wait then 5 min after that the 2nd person to order after that gets there order so I'm like ok let me ask what's going on. So I walk put to the counter and no one asks me if the can help me so I wait till the manager gets done ringing up here customer then I cut in line to ask her how long it would be I told her I was waiting for a half an hour she looks at me and shrugs her sholders she says sorry we're busy. I explained that I been waiting for a half an hour&&2 orders after me already got their food she asked well what did you get I tell her and she's like oh yeah I see it right there it just needs to be passed out. So I ask can someone give it to me she says again it's right there i see it it needs to be passed out i say ok so my food is sitting there getting cold she says yeah it needs to be passed out this goes on for 5 min then some worker who's just getting on and clocking in says just get her food she still doesn't want to another worker tells her to get my food cause they all just came on and need to wash there hands. So she finally goes over to look and some other lady yells at me I ALREADY SENT THAT ORDER OUT 30 MIN AGO I say well I been waiting here for a half an hour by this time they're getting mad yelling I can't handle this shit then they slang some food into the bag and give it to me all the other people who ordered after me where saying how rude they were being and how everyone was brushing me off. It sucks cause me and my husband eat here at least once a week and spend $20 or more then didn't apologize for the wait the didn't offer me anything they just don't care. The customer service or lack there of has got to be the most pathetic excuse for what is was, never the less decent human interaction.
