This is now called Mr. Philly. We're on our way to Texas and needed a refueling. I was a little nervous at first because I couldn't find it on Yelp until I did some research. The people are really nice and friendly. She gave us some suggestions on what we should try since this was our first time. We had the classic Philly with grilled peppers and onions. The steak was very tender and a great flavor to it. The cheese wasn't slices layered on it. You could tell it was cooked on the grill with the meat. The bun was toasted and fresh. The hand cut fries were delicious. They were seasoned perfectly and had a great crunch. We will stop back by on our return. Also, you can order ahead to make it easier. The cheeseburger was pretty good for $13. I was expecting to get the same crinkle cut fries as everyone else on Yelp but I was served these thinner whataburger style fries that became pretty crunchy very quickly. Better experience food wise than last time. read more

This was my first time trying Whataphilly and my husband's fourth. We ordered delivery and everything was packaged great and correct! Both the medium shrimp and jumbo were very flavorful, but I liked the jumbo more. The macaroni and cheese was very good as was the okra. The red beans and rice were cooked well but needed seasoning. When I ate the shrimp with the red beans and rice in one bite it was perfect. I wish the fried pickles had been pickle spears, but they were still tasty. The cheesesteak was fantastic! I don't know what cheese they used but it was perfectly balanced for the fatty ribeye. Overall it was very well done and I'm excited to trying more of what they have to offer! read more

What A Philly is about five minutes from our home. After church today, my husband and I stopped in for a couple of hamburgers, fries, and drinks to go. The counter person was pleasantly friendly, and the restaurant was clean. However, the lids didn't fit very well, and our drinks resulted in sticky cups and fingers. When we arrived home with our meals, we discovered two dry CHEESEburgers, no mayo or mustard (as promised on the menu), and very soggy fries. There was not a crisp chip anywhere. These meals were a disappointment. We'll give What A Philly another try, but I'm not hopeful. read more

They serve the best cheesesteaks I've had since I actually lived in Philly. The mushroom cheesesteaks are the best. But don't order the "mushroom cheesesteak".... just add mushrooms as an item on the Philly cheesesteak and you'll save $3. Management needs to fix that pricing glitch. read more

Food was good fresh and hot you have to have a little time on your hands due to them cooking to order which is fine with me. I order a double cheeseburger which was pretty big and my coworker ordered a chicken and shrimp Philly. They no longer serve the fried items on their menu so if you go there looking for fish, wings and any other item besides fries they don't sell it anymore. Drive-thru employee had NO personality. Although fries were "handmade" they were not fried... don't know what to call them. Drive-thru took 25 minutes to get order. BUT.... Sandwiches were delicious! We will definitely go back... when we are NOT in a hurry and will get sandwiches ONLY! read more

First off this is our first time trying them and last. The burger was a frozen patty with no seasoning and the bread was tough as rubber. My husband's Philly had old bread that had been microwaved to long. Definitely not worth the $20 we spent. The staff was friendly but the food was horrible. The best food and the best sandwich you can eat. The service they provide is very excellent and the place is very clean.

We were the first customers of the day. There were three people in our party. A large group came after we had ordered and were seated. Their food came out well before ours. The mac and cheese was a bowl of yellow liquid with a few noodles in it. It was ice cold. I sent it back to be heated and the sweet lady brought it back ice cold again. My sandwich was supposed to be veggie with light guacamole. Instead, it was full of guacamole and mayo. I just gave up and left. I paid 60 dollars to still be hungry and throw away tons of food. Thank God I had a banana in my car to eat. Wish them well but I will Not be returning. read more
