I hope after reading this you do not go to this location! It was the worst I have ever experienced at any dine in, fast food or any place that provides any kind of customer service. I never like to insult or demean anyone, but I have to say the manager Daniel at this location, is amongst the worse I have ever encountered...extremely unprofessional and has no business being a manager, even at a fast food restaurant. I went here, not for me, but honestly to pick up two breakfast sandwiches for two elderly, homebound people. It wasn't very busy, approximately 1030 am so not so busy. They Offer 2 lanes and I placed my order with no problem. As I pulled up, I was waiting for an unusually long time for fast food but I was keeping myself entertained with my iPad until one of the employees came out yelling "that lane is closed." And I was supposed to know this how? So I asked her...her response is her literally yelling at me "I told you it was closed and move over." I moved my vehicle over and I told her I was not capable of reading minds. That employee literally continued running her mouth. I am not a child and I refused to engage in her ignorance, insisting I would not argue with her and demanded that just get the food. After some time she went inside and I had to wait longer. The manager Daniel came out, body language, facial expression and his lack of acknowledging me said a lot. He did not even say "hi" or "hello", only "your total is" whatever my total was. I attempted to express my concern with the previous employee and his response was "you need to understand we are short staffed and that lane is closed." I am well aware of staffing shortages and I consider myself to be very patient with low skilled employees, but they were ridiculous.I attempted to tell Daniel both lanes were clearly open, a worker took my order so how was I supposed to know the lane was closed, but he interrupted me and said "you need to move over you are BLOCKING MY DRIVEWAY." Keep in mind I moved where the previous employee told me to move. He walked away and I would have never ever waited for this food if it were for me. This was such a ridiculous experience but this manager and staff lack serious common sense. If a business offers a two lane drive tru and one needs to be closed, then post a sign and block with a street cone or some barrier to let a customer know. Better yet, don't take the customer's order. Instead of apologizing for any confusion, that jerk of a so called manager treated me like I was committed a crime and treated me horribly. That would be the last time that ever happens because I will NEVER return. I hope readers of my review don't either....we have lots of breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, whatever options. We deserve to be treated with some dignity and respect, something Daniel and his staff fail to do. They do not deserve my money and clearly they do not care. read more

Ok they mess up my order pretty much every time they go but tonight was the all time worst. Ordered one #6 meal with no onions and one chicken strip sandwich. Received a box of wings. Ok drive thru is a confusing job and mistakes happen that's why we check. Waited forever for the little girl working drive thru to acknowledge me. When she did, I started to say what happened when she interrupted "WE HAVE IT IN THE BACK" and slammed the window. Brings my food a few minutes later and drops in on the ground. No apology, just slams the window again. I pick my bag up off the ground, I check my food again and there's onions in it so I wait. Someone else maybe a manager opened the window and I asked for a new sandwich. He at least said sorry but that girl has to go. I frequent Whataburger often but more in the central and west side of Phoenix. I stopped at this location because I was coming back into Phoenix, but will never stop there again. The staff was friendly enough but after 16 minute wait in the drive thru for 3 taquitos and to have the be of such poor quality was so disappointing. Wish I lived closer as I would have taken them back for a refund. Please send someone to the Bethany Home/I17 or 7th Street/McDowell locations for training on how to make a great taquito. Patty melt is as meaty as it is tasty. Fries were hot. Friendly service. Short wait time. Typical fast food atmosphere.

Our first visit was pretty good, so back we came for a second. Only this time to be completely dissatisfied. First the young lady at the counter seemed to have her mind on something else other than taking our order. We had to continue to repeat it to her, finally we thought she had it right, nope when our food came somethings were wrong, so back it went. Finally we got what we ordered. We started unwrapping our food. I ordered their BLT, thinking of course I would get something that resembled the photo on the menu board, well that was a joke. As you see from the attached photo. My main question was, how can you have bread that is toasted on both side, be cold? There was enough sorta chopped lettuce to fill about 3 sandwiches. Now we all know that BLT stands for Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato. The bacon was more like bacon crumbles you get in a jar, most of it was limp. Apparently there was a tomato shortage that night, cause there was one small, well can't really call it a slice, was more like the, oh yea, chopped lettuce. I would normally expect some mayo on this type of sandwich, but I guess I must have had to order that part. Nothing like nice dry cold bread to make a sandwich oh so good. My wife ordered just the single patty Whataburger, lite mayo, lite ketchup, lite onions, cheese, no lettuce, no tomato. Much to her surprise, out popped lettuce and tomato. They took her request for lite mayo and ketchup as to mean, she just wanted them to take the spatula whizzing by the bun, just a hint. Now on a burger that was ordered with cheese, one would expect the cheese to be melted, after all the burger patty is on a hot grill. So riddle me this, 'can you have cheese on a burger, not melted" you bet at Whataburger on Elliot you can. My wife also ordered a chocolate shake, she took a sip and said, um, does not taste like chocolate. Took the lid off, and it appeared to be more of a vanilla shake than chocolate. When the server brought out part of our order that was incorrect, my said, excuse me, I ordered a chocolate shake. Now this was a response that made me laugh "oh yea, our chocolate machine is acting really funny" would you maybe like a strawberry one? Sure that would be fine, when she brought the strawberry one, my wife took a sip, then another sip, she said here try this, I took a sip. Yep they had just waved the syrup across the top of the cup, cause is sure did not taste like strawberry. I guess I do have to mention the only positive thing from our second and to be our last visit, the banana pudding shake is great. Now I don't have any idea what any of the other Whataburger's are like, but we won't take our chances of spending another $30 plus dollars to find out. Oh, opps almost forgot, maybe if they would turn the music down the order taker might hear a bit better so as to get our order correct. Went back for the third time in their first couple weeks of Ops. Good ice tea, pretty solid fries; the patty melt was very good albeit maybe not the stellar Whataburger is know for. My angst ? The drive-thru took forever. I think there were five cars in front of me and it took 20 minutes from ordering to receiving the food in the drive-thru. That's excessive, just flat-out. Noting, the staff were pretty friendly, they just did not seem that quick on the draw. read more

Service sucks!!! I do not recommended coming to this location, especially if you are on lunch because they take sooo long! I was the only car in the drive thru lane and after 5 mins waiting there another car comes on the left lane and they take their order first! On top of that my order was not correct! Been eating at Whataburger since the late 70's and was excited to see one coming to the W Elliot location. Unfortunately, after bragging them up, I picked up a meal for 3 of us and was shocked to find them 'cold' upon eating. Seriously, cold... Since it was just after 2pm I have to assume these were burgers in the chute awaiting purchase for the lunch rush and they didn't want to dump inventory. Were they even safe to eat??? Management needs to fire the entire staff here. Ordered two burgers and 3 drinks. They brought out the 3 drinks, then just 1 burger and definitely charged for 2 burgers. We had to tell the same person twice that we were waiting for our other burger and it took them like half an hour to fix the mistake, and they still messed up the order. Terrible. I have come here a couple times in the last week. They forget to give you straws and don't give napkins. The employees do not listen as I have asked for honey butter twice and received honey bbq sauce, which I do not eat. This location does the bare minimum, and sometimes not even that. read more

Everytime I come here I have to shout to get somebody to take my order. Once they finally do get to taking my order they always repeat it 4-5 times as if theyre not actually paying attention and they still end up getting the order wrong/ having to pay extra due to their mistakes.
