Up until recently we had at least a handful of Mexican-style eateries from differing regions in our neighborhood that were our go to locations for us, so we decided to conduct a review of these fave locations in preparation for this dinner, and low and behold, in our opinion most of their status' abruptly changed from fave, to non fave! I have come to the conclusion, that many of the resto industry's woes are founded in today's economy and other mitigating factors. One of our faves over the past ten plus years, we had the opportunity of visiting quite a bit, where as it became one of top five go-to Mex eats. Garcia's Mexican Grill made the grade in more ways than one! As I've previously mentioned, it's not the finest Mexican Cuisine in Phoenix, it does a great job putting some very, very superb flavors on your dish and of putting together some selections that are well worth the visit. They offer delectable Carnitas, an incredible pico de gallo; fantastic Enchiladas whether Chicken, Beef or Cheese, and a fantabulous green sauce, the terrific Chicken Tortilla Soup and some fab homemade tortilla strips, just to mention a few items. If you've never visited Garcia, I recommend El Magnifico Sampler is a great bet since it gives the novice to Garcia's the best of everything! It was not difficult to make a choice as to who would do our catering. Our catered dinner consisted of magnificent renderings of their beef and cheese enchiladas, the hard tacos were perfectly crisp and homemade, along with all the prepared accoutrements that go with it, and without saying, their servings include rice and choice of refried, charro, or black beans and more. And as is always good, the catered food was as excellent as the restaurant's! Again, after deliberating between four other Mexican Cuisine establishments, we've concluded that Garcia's is pretty much our neighborhood Mexican go to place for a full lunch, dinner, deserts, drinks, and now catering. Kudos Garcia's staff and cooks. We hope it stays that way! Buen provecho!

We tried carne asada, al pastor, birria, and chicken. The street tacos are slightly smaller than your average taco; I had 4 and thought that would be too many but honestly I could have eaten another one #bigback. They come dressed with onion and cilantro. My favorite was the pastor, then birria, carne asada, and chicken. There is no salsa bar; they bag up your order with the salsa and limes. They gave us 3 salsas for the whole order but didn't hesitate to give us extra when we asked. The red salsa is SPICY so we probably could have done 3 for our whole order. Definitely a great deal!

The tacos were overpriced for what you get, and there was very little meat inside them. For the amount you're paying, I expected much better portions and overall value. Customer service could also use some improvement, although my main concern was the food itself. When you're paying premium prices, you expect quality and quantity to match, and that just wasn't my experience here. There are plenty of other taco spots that give you more food and better value for your money. Sadly, what was supposed to be my first visit will probably be my last. If you're willing to pay higher prices for smaller portions, you may feel differently, but it wasn't worth it for me.

The girl at the register with the glasses and curly hair came off very rude. Just silent as we were wondering if she was ready to take us, I then asked the question "are you ready for us" and she ignored me only then to look at my partner. When we placed our food to go. Same girl called out our number and then immediately walked away as we approached the counter when my spouse and I had questions. I was going to ask if it comes with cilantro and onion and limes. We stood at the counter waiting for someone to help for a couple mins. Overall just a weird interaction that left a bad taste in my mouth. I doesn't seem like she enjoys her job but she should not be working with people in the front as she doesn't have the customer service skills or hospitality. I've been working in these services for 8 years and I could do better job than whatever that was. I noticed other customer reviews have the same complaint. she should be asking "I can help who's next or are you guys ready to order! Let me know if you have any questions" very minimal effort. HOWEVER, on a different note. The carne asada tacos were delicious came with a good amount of meat, it was flavorful! And the rice and beans were equally as delicious. The pastor tacos were good as well same idea as the carne. The asada fries were undercooked but flavor was decent.

I got the Arnold Palmer for a drink, which was actually up charge that I was not prepared for, but whatever it was pretty good. I will say that my tenders were fried correctly and the sauce was good and I also enjoyed my Texas toast so I will come back to this raising Cane. It is located really easy off of I 10 and the drive-through was expensive so people didn't have to wait long for their orders. The staff were friendly and overall the freshness was there.

I've tried it 3 times over the past year hoping it would be better, but unfortunately it hasn't improved. The chicken was dry, bland, & lacked the flavor. TASTES LIKE RUBBER. The bread was underwhelming, and the fries tasted stale. The entire meal was just disappointing from start to finish. Couldn't even finish my food because it's quite literally disgusting. The consommé for the quesabirria is rich and tasty. And personally I love the flavor of their green salsa from the salsa bar. It's excellent! I do think the horchata and jamaica are on the side pricer at $7 but I'm not sure what size that is and I didn't get it even though I like those drinks.
