Whataburger. What. A. Burger. Yes. Knowing that there was one in town, all my friends said that we had to try it. We were on the way to one restaurant when we heard that this place was in Tucson, and immediately we did a detour. This doesn't exist where we're living (TN) so we definitely did that quick detour to this place. So what did I have? I actually gorged a little and ordered two burgers...and yes I did finish both of them. So what were the burgers? 1. Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger 2. Bacon & Cheese Whataburger And what did I think? Those toasted 5 inch buns are no joke. They will fill you up quick! So, I actually just ate, and just kept eating. This burger was definitely interesting just because of the size, you really need two hands to hold it to eat it. Well done, I'm just sad that we don't have it here. Pass on this location. I had fond memories of Whataburger in Texas and this wasn't it. The food was fine, but the customer service sucked. I'm from an area that doesn't have Whataburger, but again: fond memories from Texas and so I figured it was a viable option for lunch. It wasn't. The employees were slow, didn't want to explain anything to this Whataburger novice. They rushed me through and... Now I'm not so sure about Whataburger. This isn't about the employees. They were great. This is about 3 tiny chicken strips(a la carte) that cost me $4.33. Each strip was barely three inches long. The width of the box is five inches long. If each strip were 5" long each, then that would have been ok. But 3"? ... And to pay over $4 for that? ... NO ! Never again. read more

Just today 1-19-21 with order #138571 we ordered a DBL with cheese and jalapeños and a 3 PC chicken tenders and we've been coming here for decades or shortly after it opened and goodness if the food is gonna be this yuk and cold just stop selling it. Let me just say I ordered in a hurry and wasn't even sure what to get. I remember this place from my childhood but haven't really had it much as an adult. My first impression pulling the burger from the bag was how heavy and thick it was for a single patty burger. I got the bacon cheeseburger. I have never had a burger look more like it was made for a TV ad. Picture perfect. Juicy. Delicious. Wonderful toppings. The bacon and lettuce are crispy. The tomatoes red and juicy and 3 slices! So I called and let them know, the manager at the time Richard was super friendly and apologized and told me to come back through and they would replace the entire meal no charge. The only thing that tasted half way like the "Old Whataburger were the onion rings. I can't say enough about how bad fast food burgers places have become. Ate here today. First time at this chain. Didn't like that ketchup and napkins were brought out on a tray to limit consumption. The grilled chicken sandwich was bland. My kids burger was dried out and crispy at the edges. The chocolate milkshake I had was the best part of the meal. The place was packed and the Christmas music was on repeat. My burger was cold from the moment i got it as well as my cheese that i paid extra for was not even MELTED, it was literally a cold slice of cheese on my burger, ew. We're from California but constantly travel out to Tucson since my dad grew up here & thanks to him we have to satisfy our Whataburger craving every time! This specific establishment happens to be open late so we stop in. Right away we are greeted by their cashier who is delightful throughout the whole ordering process. A few minutes pass as we sit & wait for our food, no big deal, & the gentleman who was behind the counter comes over to explain that they had to make a fresh batch of chicken for my Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich so it'd be a bit longer. On top of that, he offered a comped side of fries for the trouble despite it being no trouble at all! When we got our food it was delicious as usual & it honestly didn't take that much longer. The extra effort of keeping us informed & then going the extra mile for a small inconvenience just really impressed us all. I usually like Whataburger, but this location isn't very good about getting your order right. Many times I have gotten half way home, and realized they shorted me an item or two. Then I started counting the number of items to make sure I have the right amount, only to find, that instead of a burger, they gave me a chicken sandwich or something else. I always order gravy with my chicken strip meal, but several times I have found ranch or ketchup in the box when I get home. You seriously have to open and unwrap each item to make sure you get what you ordered. I would say they get it right less than 50% of the time. ^__^ I don't seem to have this problem at other locations. read more

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star if it were possible. It deserves nothing more than this horrible review. My girlfriend went here around 12am as we had been gone all day and had not eaten. We were looking for something open late and thought we would give Whataburger a try. This place should be more appropriately called "WhatTheFuckIsThisBurger". They almost forgot the drinks. And when handed one of the cups, there was a huge hole in the side near the top that made sticky pop go all over the car and her. She didn't realize the hole in the cup until she felt the cold wet contents leaking out into the car seat when she drove away. When given the 2 bags of food, she checked the receipt because it looked wrong, and it was. They taped the wrong receipt to the bag making her believe that she received the wrong order. When she went to grab one of the burgers to double check it, it was hardly wrapped up and the burger toppings went all over her and the car. Do they not put condiments on the burgers to make the toppings stay in place? No, dry as a bone. The bag was ripped, the burgers weren't wrapped, the fries were cold, there was a giant hole in the cup. First time here and will DEFINITELY be the last. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. What a pathetic excuse for a restaurant. And no, I'm not one of those people that only write negative reviews, this has to be said. read more

I was planning on going to In N Out but something changed my mind and I came here instead. First let me tell you what made my experience 5 stars was not just the food but the service as well. Nick was very cheerful, enthusiastic and kind in both taking my order and delivering it to my table. The food, per usual, exceeded my expectations and the fries simply put all other fast food places to shame. The past 3 times they took down the order wrong and when we went back to fix they were very rude about THEIR mistake.
