I placed an order using their app and requested delivery last Monday. The Tracker alerted me when the food was picked up and on it's way. I watched as the vehicle icon moved down the street and sat idle for about 15 minutes. It took way too long to drive the 2-miles to my house. Instead of leaving food on bench beside the door, the food was left on the ground. The bag was placed so close to the door that the bag was knocked over when door was opened. The large order of Onion Rings was very very light. One of the burgers had been unwrapped. The Whataburger Security Tab was ripped off and was laying on bottom of bag. I threw everything away as a result. I notified both Whataburger and Door Dash of the situation. Today is Thursday and neither have responded to me. Very, very disappointed. Never again. read more

Ate here about 1:30 monday. Inside traffic was light, drive-in traffic was a mess. We watched the drive-in as we ate, it never got good. Why? I had the hatch chili burger, it was good. My friend had the chicken strip sandwich, also good. The staff was friendly. A couple if odd items. My burger was flat ... looked like someone had stepped on it. And it was wrapped in 3 layers of paper. My friends chicken sandwich was wrapped in 4 layers of paper. Not a big deal, but a terrible waste of paper. read more

This location is absolutely terrible. Waited 45 min. for them to tell me they don't know what I ordered. Then the drive thru girl had the audacity to tell me that I was getting attitude when I was confused on how she lost my order and still saw me sitting, waiting in my car. Manager tried to get my order out fast but when I got it the order was wrong. I love my whataburger but I have no patience for poorly trained employees. We went to the outer lane of the drive through. The girl told us she'd be right with us. Have been at this Whataburger for 40 min through drive thru was told to wait by lady then another car rolled up to outside lane and she took their order and continued to have us wait for longer, when she finally took the order it took her four times to get it right then pulled up to window and they were out of tea so she parked us in a spot and brought us tea when the had it but didn't give us any straws so I got out to go inside to get straws and stepped in a big wad of bubble gum all because she couldn't bring straws this was the worst experience I've ever had at a whatabuger and will probably never come to this location again. read more

Consistently not good. Service sketchy in the drive through lane but the big thing is the quality of the food. You don't get what you order and what you do get is cold, missing cheese, etc. I tried the Pico de Gallo chicken Whatachicken sandwich and was very unhappy with it. It was cold, the chicken tasted like fried fish (change your oil!) and it was loaded with some sort of mayonnaise based sauce. I didn't even finish it. My husband called to complain about his meal (cold, no cheese although he asked for it, etc.) and the person who answered the phone seemed completely swamped and didn't even mention it was Whataburger! Very poor, and slow service. It took staff 45 minutes from us ordering at the menu to receiving our food. Other customers in the drive-thru line seemed very impatient as well, some trying to exit the lane if at all possible. Following the wait time, food was extremely lackluster. The hash brown sticks were burned, and the tea tasted on the sour side. Will be staying away from this location for the foreseeable future. read more

Literally the slowest "fast" food place ever. 2 chicken sandwich meals and about half an hour later in the drive thru lane. The inner lane was coming and going easily but our lane (we were the first ones) wasn't budging. Fries weren't even salted but the burger was ok. read more

This Whataburger has officially lost my business forever! Tonight I decided to go visit and see if they could finally get things right. Boy was I wrong. I immediately walked in to a crowded and packed Whataburger. But hey, that isn't their fault, right? Anyways, I decided to go to the front counter which was surrounded by tons of people waiting for food and none of them actually waiting in line. The lady taking orders (couldn't catch her name) was acting very rude because my wife decided to make sure to put light mustard. She said she wasn't sure that there was "any other way to put it." She kept on insisting she has never heard of anybody making a "burger wet" due to mustard. What ulterior planet is she living on? I just remained silent as she continued to ramble on without being provoked about how her job is terrible, how all of the other employees went home when it was busy, and how it would be their "funeral" when things got busy and she decided to leave. I understand she might have been under stress but that is no reason to put pressure on us! We don't even work there. I sympathized enough. The food eventually came. It was cold, wet, and gross! The fries looked like it was old too! They sure tasted old! Then, the guy who brought us condiments was very stone-like and not friendly! Things couldn't have been worse. I was in a rush to get out of there due to the madness I had experienced and the terrible vibes I was getting from the place. I had the misfortune of having the same cashier lady come back around the aisle when I was already walking out of the door. I gave her what was my final attempt to try to cheer her up and rid her of her negative energy by saying "have a good night." She immediately countered, "Well it's surely too late for that, isn't it?" I'm glad her question was rhetorical because if it wasn't an inner reflection of her unhappiness I would've easily answered, "yes, for you, yes..." This is the second time I try giving this place a chance and they never fail to fail. There is always cold food, wrong orders, charging for double cheese when only was asked for, etc. I think it's about time management intervenes and does something about this. From now on I insist on saving my mental energy expenditure by going to a Whataburger who actually cares about their customers and does a better job to serve them. This place has the absolute worst customer service! Not only was i not greeted i was left standing at the front counter for a while before anyone took my order. i had to ask if anyone was working the register,because everyone was standing around and talking,and eating and getting drinks....THE EMPLOYEES yes.There were at least 6 people just standing around behinf the counter,and nobody said a WORD to me as i stood there. they were more worried about themselves than the actual patrons. In fact,i saw the employees treating one another with 100%MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE than they were to the PAYING CUSTOMERS! they placed food orders,leaned over the counter and talked about their personal business. meanwhile,us patrons were standing there not being served. I ordered a number two on the menu. I recieved two tasteless patties. I waited for those fresh made patties that came to me warm. The fries also. With the time I waited they should have been hot.The salt shaker has extra large holes here. Couldn't finnish them. So the restaurant is a new building and esthetically clean. Food is slow. Do not recommend this site if your in a hurry or short lunch break.Watch any add ons. The most expensive slices of cheese...... Did not get a receipt. Went through the drive thru. Got a napkin. Whataburger is one of the best burgers in SA. This is a fast food restaurant, but the food is made fresh so obviously it is gonna take time to complete a persons order. I have been visiting this location for years and one thing that I notice is that it's better to pick up (drive thru or order to go)rather than dine in because it is extremely small and busy inside. Many of the workers are from the HS across the street, and they do a great job. Don't forget to try the spicy ketchup. read more

I am not entirely sure what it is about this place. I have, foolishly, given this place numerous chances to do what every other single Whataburger can do, and it seems to be a Herculean task just for them to do their jobs correctly. They have recently moved to this location, as they were built this brand-new facility no more than a block away from their training facility. Since they've opened, they have never gotten my order right, even on basic things. They either have deaf employees who can't hear that I want fries instead of hashbrowns in the morning (even after clearly saying it more than once), can't be bothered to quality check orders going out (as I have twice-now gotten a burger instead of a Whatachicken). Before the final straw this morning, I even had to resign myself to going in myself because they can't seem to get it through their incompetent skulls that there is a difference between diet and regular soda. I am so fed up with this place, I really am. I will never step foot into this den of ineptitude again. They could become the best Whataburger in the entire state and that location will never see any of my business again. read more

My experience was EXCELLENT! All thanks to a girl named Nigeria... it was her first day, and she was confident and bold in taking on a lot of guests at a time. NOBODY was helping her, she was asking for help and instead most of her coworkers ignored her, but she was still absolutely incredible. If it weren't for Nigeria, I would have given this a 1 star whataburger experience, but she went above and beyond, even in the midst of it being her 1st day in the job and having her coworkers ignore her! I don't anticipate returning to this location anytime soon. While the restaurant is clean, and I appreciate that very much, as dine in customers we waited 50 minutes for 2 taquitos. There were no buses on site. There is clearly a staff shortage at this location and arrangements weren't made to bring employees from other locations. No notification was posted at the entrances or the registers indicating a long wait due to an apparent lack of staff. Notifying customers in advance allows the customer to choose to wait or go somewhere else. The poor management at this location demonstrates a clear need for thorough supervision and training by the regional manager and, most likely, a new manager for this location. Its unfortunate when poor management tarnishes the image of a much loved Texas company. read more

When we planned on going to whataburger we wanted to go to thru the drive thru, but when we did we had to repeat the order over 4 times. We decided to go inside. Inside we placed our order and sat down it was then that we got to see the machine at work inside, where we saw people just standing around laughing and not working. 20 minutes later the "server" gave us our order which was still not complete, and when we asked for the rest of our order she gave us attitude as she reluctantly gave us the remainder of our order. read more

One reason I gave them one star is because you can't go lower than that. I was order number 549732, ordered at 12:54:59. All three large fries were cold and over cooked as if they had sat in the warmer a while and then reheated in the fryer just to sit in the warmer again, and either a fly was deep fried or it was in the bottom of my fry container when the fries went it. Either way, nice surprise. Then I went to bite my burger.......tasteless patty as if they cooked the burger then put it in warm water to keep it from drying out and getting cold. Just finished 8 honorable years in the Navy that took me all over the world except anywhere that had a Whataburger! I can tell you the 1st thing i did as soon as i drove in to Texas (my last duty station was in Cali) was get me some Whataburger (Water-burger)! It taste like home... For being a brand new Whataburger, the customer service was horrible. We walked in and was greeted by no one, and there was nobody at any of the cash registers. This girl comes up to the register and stares at us. When we told her what we wanted she didn't say a single word, she didn't even make eye contact with us at all.
