This place has two locations.Many of my pictures are pre-Covid.We live pretty close by to the bean roasting location and had been taking weekend trips here almost every week sometimes twice because we would go and pick up a Sammie and usually some beans as well. I am always down for their Chiapas blend it reminds me a lot of my favorite Zapatista coffee that I alter with sometimes also from Chiapas. The place has all these wonderful pinball machines and I know they are not open indoors and I completely respect that.I myself haven't been doing inside dining since February pre Covid.They have adapted and started doing drive through at their flagship store as well as have a online menu where you can order their cold brew and all their other items like their coffee beans and it's ready for pick up fairly shortly. They also opened the drive through location off Blanco and West and they have food available there as well as give my dog a treat when pulling through. Never once have I seen their staff operate unsafely. The people who work here are friendly professionals. I've ditched a lot of places for improper mask wearing and I am very pleased that this place has been clean and consistently dependable. They also only take card no cash so just a FYI. The coffee and atmosphere are amazing, but today's experience was ruined by poor service. My husband was excited to return and purchase more coffee beans, so we stopped by. While I played a quick game of pinball, he spoke with the barista about our new espresso machine and his interest in sampling new beans. When I rejoined him, she responded to his comment with a curt "Yeah, you already told me." I understand that everyone has off days, especially at the end of a long shift, but as a customer, his excitement was met with unnecessary rudeness. Spent a few hours here with my kids. I had been wanting to introduce them to pinball. They have a great collection, with the oldest being maybe from the sixties, but they are all lovingly restored and/or augmented. Game play runs from .50 cents to $1.00. The friendly barista will give you some cash back from your credit card if you forget cash, and there are change machines in the back. The ambiance is decidedly more coffee shop than arcade, so they've got that going for them. I got an exquisite latte replete with a little coffee art poured on top, and the kids got hot chocolate, which they loved. They enjoyed looking at the industrial roasters as well. Always a good time at What's Brewing. You can grab a coffee, pastry or kolaches. There's tables with board games and wifi. Everyone is super friendly here and the coffee is prrretty legit. They also have tea, hot cocoa and Richards Sparkling Rainwater. There's at least 20 pinball machine here and it's so much fun! You can find the coin machine in the back near the entrance. If you don't have bills you can ask for cash back while ordering. Tip: if you'd like to play with multiple people just insert the amount for each person and press the start button for each player. My favorite thing to get here is the Sammie Latte however, I recently have been disappointed with the new oat milk they have started using. They went from using the blue milk container (Oatly) oat milk to HEB's oat milk and it makes my drink taste different :(. Not as enjoyable as it used to be. This is such an awesome place to hangout! They have a lounging area if you want to sit on a couch, there's also plenty of tables to sit at, both standard seating and tall tables. They have an area where you can choose the type of coffee beans that you want to purchase and they tell you the story of each bean type and where it was curated from. Another thing that makes this place unique is the pinball games. They have a pinball room with several pinball games. I also talked to the counter and it sounds like they are starting to have yours of the shop (they have this large room which looks like where they process the coffee beans) and they also have what looks like a room that teaches how to french press and learn more about coffee.
