It's been a minute since I swung by Clear Light Coffee. It my quest to try (and rate) every local coffee shop's cortado, I wanted to bring my four-legged buddy with me and narrowed my search down to Clear Light Coffee. Cool, they're overdue for an updated review. The weather was much nicer the last time I was here, and the service was much, much better than I remember. I had asked if they had pup cups and the barista said she didn't think they had whipped cream, but then excitedly corrected herself. Score! While I didn't see a cortado on the menu, I asked if they could make me one (with an enthusiastic yes!). I also ordered an iced oatchata and a donut, and we then sat outside in the patio. Bucky made friends with everyone in the area. The cortado was very pleasant. It had that "paper cup" taste as most cortados will when served in one, but it was still pretty good. Mild and smooth, and not terribly hot, too. The oatchata was a delight. Super refreshing, and the donut was also great. Bucky also gives 5 stars to the pup cup, to the point where he also ate the cup. They still have a very charming and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend when the weather isn't brutal. read more

Came by on a Sunday and it not busy at all. This is a very relaxing and chill -- I truly loved the aesthetics. While they did not have a wide range of pastries or any food, their drinks are really good. I tried the oatmilk chai tea latte and it was so good! The ladies that helped me were very kind and welcoming. There's plenty of outdoor seating and BBQ & Mexican restaurants nearby if you get hungry. There's plenty of parking so I would definitely return. read more

I came across this in place while driving along an unfamiliar road. After one extremely illegal U turn I found myself in another world. Well, it was a parking lot but it has some great trees with good shade. Very quiet place, There was some 90s rock in the background if I remember correctly. The pace is cozy, books sitting around, lots of wood,the good stuff. I had a cold brew and a nice time. read more

Adorable coffee shop in a great location! We stumbled in to grab a coffee before going to the park across the street. We both got the oatchata latte which was delicious. The barista was so kind and very helpful. Drinks were made quickly and we sat down at a table to talk and enjoy our drinks. We came in December, so they had some festive lights up! My favorite thing about this coffee shop is that I'm able to bike to it from my house (about 8 miles each way) and that its a place where a bunch of other bikers stop. It's a nice place to stop and chit chat with others who also enjoy a morning bike ride on the weekends. My friend and I stopped in here this morning to have coffee and breakfast. It was packed with motorcyclists which was cool. Inside, they had a nice and clean setup with a good ambiance. Once we got up to the counter, we had a few questions on what the items were but sadly the young lady behind the counter had no clue and made (incorrect) guesses. Most of their pastries and sandwiches were not made in house and were brought in from elsewhere. We ordered the following: - Americana: Just ok and served in a to-go cup even though we said it would be for there. Cream for the coffee is not set out and has to be requested which isn't a big deal. - Prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich: Good but very cold. We should've requested that it be warmed up so that the croissant wasn't as stale tasting. - Maple Bar: Brought in from Voodoo doughnuts. The woman behind the counter had said it was filled but sadly it was not. It was a cake style doughnut and very dry. While I liked the ambiance and the community aspect, this isn't a place I'd be inclined to get breakfast from again. read more

Charming,delicious,hidden treasure. Surrounded by BIG BEAUTIFUL trees despite the radical development of the area.The Tao here is phenomenal Bicyclists,trail runners and locals flock this place because it's right off the trail. Feels like when all the animals come together at the watering hole when it isn't monsoon season in Africa. I mean that In a good way. Like a harmonious way. Music is very good.I got lost in some Mac Demarco just vibin on the porch with my dog and then my coffee came out.WOW! Life was perfect in that moment. So delicious!! "They have the beans!!" Had a very considerate and kind young man come out and apologize for a leaf blower that was in site.Didn't even notice I was so into the moment.Taking in nature and chillin with Mac. Anyway the vibes all around are sweet and accommodating. Can't replicate this kind of place because it's just too real. Like coffee house culture I grew up with to a degree but different. Anyway after one visit I knew so would be back.Definitely been back. read more

Showed up and they had their door propped open, they saw me come in and looking at the menu. It wasn't until another guest went to the counter to order that they said to them they had no coffee. NO COFFEE?? No signs or nothing and didn't bother to let me know when I walked in. Horrible first impression. WILL NOT come back. read more

My wife and I have driven by this place and number of times and I've looked forward to being able to try it. We pulled in this afternoon at 2:55 and noticed that the person who was working there was taking down the chair out front. I waited for him to come back and asked him what time they closed and he looked at his watch, said 3 o'clock, took the open sign down off the wall, and took it inside. Seems to me like this place has all the customers that it needs and we no longer need to come back here. If it was my small business and I had a customer walking in five minutes before close, I would've offered coffee, but that's just me... I get that he liked had already cleaned up, but even if he had said so and invited us back tomorrow or appeared like he was sorry. But it was like we were just a bother he had to ignore in order to keep closing. Hope he enjoyed his later afternoon plans. The nearby Starbucks thanks him for another order they did not need. read more

The drinks were actually really good! One of the best matcha teas I've had in a while! The coffee was good too :) and the coffee cake was really soft in the inside just like I like it :)! Not bad for a coffee shop that just opened. Service was friendly and fast. Menu is simple and straight to the point. Because there isn't too much of a wide selection, you can easily pick a drink. *Ambiance is very nice and quaint. *Coffee was great. *Pastries were okay and limited. Would like to see a larger assortment especially if you would like to lounge *The issue I have with them as a customer is the timeliness. We waited about 25-30 min before receiving our order. Also, the coffee order was incorrect. I could understand if they were busy but not many people there when placing the order. The positives outweigh the negative experience so will return as a customer. Hope they work on the above or set expectations if orders are delayed. read more

I just wanted to say how outstanding and amazing this coffee place is! I went to two Brothers BBQ next-door and me and my daughter walked over there after lunch and it was about 2:20 PM, and we didn't realize they had closed at 2 PM but the really nice guy there made me a coffee anyway and gave my daughter a hot chocolate with marshmallows on the house. Excellent coffee and good service. They treat us motorcyclists very kindly on Saturday mornings. FWIW we aren't a bunch or rowdies, just like minded gear-nerds who love all things motorized on two wheeled. Mostly European bikes. read more

So nice to have another local coffee shop in the neighborhood! This place is in a great location right across from Walker Ranch park. I was happy to visit them during their soft opening today and grab an iced chai, cold brew and hot americano. The staff were super welcoming, practicing covid safety w masks, and we loved our drinks, the cold brew had a nice bold flavor. They have seating indoors and outdoors with outlets avail. for guests inside. The owners let us know there is a breakfast menu in the works! If you are in search of really good coffee come here! I'm new to town and this is my to go spot for coffee. It's so good I don't mind traveling the 20 minutes because it's just that good. The pull of espresso is so smooth and sweet that you don't need to add sugar at all or if you prefer you just need a tad bit. My favorite is the iced latte oatchata with oat milk. read more
