This place is still dope. It's changed ownership a few times over the years but each new owner goes into the business passionately and doesn't neglect the shop even when they wanted to sell it. New owners have shop feeling more open on the inside so it just looks super clean. They've blocked off some of the parking lot so that families & children can run around without worry about a driver not paying attention. Ice cream is really good and options are good. Fairly typical ice cream shop that I enjoy in this cute town. read more

This place is hands down one of the best I've been to! The service was quick and the employees were patient when trying to order with a family of 6. The Ice Cream was absolutely delicious! Lastly, once the some of the kids were done eating they even had corn hole boards and chalk for the kids to do! What's the Scoop is under new ownership and it is even more fantastic than it was. They gave the shop a nice redesign, it looks more modern and has a beautiful Goshen mural painted on the side. The Suzuki Ice Cream Van is a nice touch. The service is amazing. The staff is super cool. The treat are deliciously delectable. I'll be back. Most definitely. read more

Went here for the 1st time on Thursday June 20th 2024 with my dad. This is a cute little ice cream shop where all the employees are very nice, and it has a great outdoor atmosphere. They have plenty of homemade flavors to choose from, as well as other flavors. I got the cinnamon toast crunch 2 scoops in a cup, and my dad got chocolate in a cone. We enjoyed our ice cream on the red picnic table that is outside, and around the area, as well as red wooden chairs. we paid via cash, and went on our merry way! Checked hours online. Website says they close at 10. Pulled up at 8:30, stood outside for 5 minutes waiting for the girls working to take our order. After we politely waited at the window but saw the girls start to grab their bags to leave, we knocked on the glass to see if maybe they just couldn't see us or thought we were still looking at the menu. The girl jumped as if we hadn't been standing there for 5 minutes and mouthed that they were closed. Not sure if they were planning on just letting us figure out they were closing an hour and a half early or what their plan was. read more

We gotta support this treasure. Local and homemade ice cream sold at a Reasonable price, that's taste delicious. I seen it support and hire our youth as well that live in the area. Stop buying those store brand ice creams and driving by this place. Do the right thing and get local ice cream and give back to community. Today I took my own advice and enjoyed some Rocky road ice cream and enjoyed the lounge chairs as I ate the ice cream in this heat. It was the most relaxing and rewarding part of my busy day. I will be back soon. read more

Ice cream is good. They run out of things quite often. Two stars because I was overcharged. Scotty's Pie Sundae on the window sign is $6 and includes one scoop, some pie, one topping, whipped cream and a cherry. However the register charged me .85 for the one topping which should have been included. So the sundae was $6.85 and not $6. read more

On the 28th of November,My daughter purchased ice cream and after the purchase tasted the ice cream and it was sour(spoiled my daughter went back to the window and requested a refund and the idiot behind the window refused to refund stating "you already ate it". This place Blows, the ice cream is way too soft and melting the second they hand it to you. It has almost no flavor whether vanilla, chocolate, whatever, very bland. When I ask for another replacement in a cup this time as the cones were not able to be sustained the soupy ice cream. The guy was refusing to comply, I had to insist that the original product was below standards. Then he finally gave in. To make matters worst our two kids ended throwing up all the vanilla ice cream they had right there in their parking lot! We'll never stop here again read more

This is our FAVORITE ice cream place- we're picky even though we don't get ice cream a lot. This place is AWESOME & just ROCKS!!!! Ice cream is creamy & yummy - NOT the ice milk you get from other "ice cream places". The owner, Elizabeth, always greets you smiling & makes you feel like an old friend. We just got an ice cream cake - vanilla & chocolate ice cream with a vanilla cake in the middle w/ fudge that stayed soft & gooey!!! OMG!!!! A "small" 6 serving was HUGE & DELICIOUS!!!! (Photo to follow) Elizabeth got a bike to put on the cake & made bicycle racing signs after asking the interests of the birthday guy. She definitely went the extra extra mile. (After a disastrous ice cream cake from Dunkin Donuts in Port Jervis, it was night & day comparing the DD cake w/ the fresh & awesome quality ice cream cake Elizabeth made for us.) We already love the ice cream & just found our place to get birthday cakes from now on. :) FYI: Just order a couple of days in advance as she makes it FRESH ;) It's definitely worth it!! Best ice cream in the Hudson Valley. So gosh darn creamy!! I've lived everywhere from Central Connecticut to Beacon to Brooklyn & this is my favourite & I'm fat So i know my stuff. One thing I truly appreciated as someone with a gluten allergy was how clearly they labeled the gluten-free flavors on the menu. It made ordering stress-free and saved me from having to ask a million questions. Honestly, I wish every ice cream shop did this. Another huge bonus: they allow two flavors in a small size! I ordered the Great White Way and Calf Trax with rainbow sprinkles, and both flavors were absolutely delicious. After grabbing your ice cream, there are picnic tables outside overlooking breathtaking mountain views. It's the kind of place where you could easily sit for hours, relax, and just take in the scenery while enjoying your cone. The staff was friendly, parking was plentiful (always appreciated), and the overall experience was exactly what I hoped for. Nothing ruins a cute little ice cream trip faster than circling for parking while your will to live slowly leaves your body. Then there's the smell. The scent wafting through the air should honestly be studied because it had me floating toward the building like a cartoon character following a pie cooling on a windowsill. I'm not saying the aroma dragged me in against my will...but I'm also not *not* saying that. Inside, the shop is set up in an "L" shape, and they have the flavors posted both outside AND inside, which I deeply appreciated because nobody needs the chaos of 14 people trying to read one tiny menu while pretending they're ready to order. They let you sample flavors before committing, which is dangerous for someone like me because suddenly I become an ice cream sommelier. I ended up getting Bellvale Bog and Calf Trax and let me tell you: absolutely worth it. 10/10. No notes. And somehow it gets even better once you walk back outside because there are picnic tables with a view that is genuinely stunning. Like, annoyingly picturesque. The kind of view that makes you stop mid-bite and rethink your life choices. For a completely spontaneous stop, this ended up being one of the highlights of the day. I will absolutely be back, and this time intentionally.

It's less than what you pay at the grocery store for a slice and way better. Not as good as Cheesecake Factory but it's also not $15. The cheesecake is a little dense. Good but a little dense. Key thing is to let it sit out for at least 30 minutes before eating it. Avoid the brownies. Sure they try to entice you by putting attractive flavors in them but no. You know those little Debbie cosmic brownies. Take two of those and put a flavoring in the middle and that's what you got. Our second try we got some of the cake "slices". Again some good some stay away from. The lemon one was good. Nice light fluffy cake with good lemon flavoring. Just not sure about the fancy frosting on top. It's not really frosting. It's like whipped cream and frosting combined. Not bad just different and a little weird. Avoid the carrot cake. It's not carrot cake. Has no carrot cake flavor. They use cream cheese frosting in the middle which is good but then they put the weird frosting they do on top and it just doesn't work. The cookies were meh. Don't get the big ones those were not good and the regular size were meh.
