We then went to two other places to get estimates and while the other places were SLIGHTLY less expensive, their work and customer service left a lot to be desired. Furthermore, he told my insurance adjuster that he would only provide an itemized repair estimate if I first committed to the repairs--a direct violation of California law (CCR § 3353). Trusting my gut, I moved my 2025 Kia Carnival to a Kia certified collision repair center. They found $17,000 in *additional* damage that Hustead's missed, including a compromised B-pillar and floor pan. This ended up totaling my car, when Manny at Hustead's was adamant that my car would not be totaled. If I had stayed with Hustead's, I'd be driving my children in a potentially structurally-unsafe vehicle. Avoid this shop - they seem to prioritize capturing the repair job over transparency and safety.

Practically unheard of for an autobody shop! California Collision is one of those unicorns. My only regret is not hearing of them sooner. Reflecting back on my involuntary experience of being the receiving end of a rear-end collision on the freeway, California Collision was the clear stand out. Not only did they get my BMW back on the road like it never happened, they handled it like a concierge would. Take that from a regular business traveler that works in the private equity world. George and Team handled everything in my best interests. They are an honest to goodness family business; the real deal- they all share the same last name. The first thing George did during the drop-off process was insist on giving me a walk-thru tour of the *entire* shop and work area. Other shops hesitate and deflect with these requests but George volunteers it first thing without even being asked. After using the restroom on the way out, there was not a corner I didn't see. Communication and customer service is first class- my calls, messages, and emails were always returned in a timely manner. They dealt with insurance and the car rental. I didn't have to do anything besides provide approvals. The job was done exactly how I wanted and even exceeded expectations. My BMW is older now and I expected aftermarket parts but I ended up coming out with all OEM parts at 0 expense to me. Even my optional factory/ OEM+ M-division performance parts were handled. Color match and fit were factory perfect. George is a perfectionist and personally inspects your vehicle after work is done and only releases back to you after it passes his high expectations. I have never ever ever been spoiled by a body shop like this.

Their online booking and consistent communication is excellent. The service manager Rhett was friendly professional, and clear explaining the results of the inspection performed during the oil change service. The inspection report is detailed but easy to understand. I will definitely return for the next scheduled maintenance and consider them for other repairs.
