I have a wheel with a bent lip that wouldn't hold air, and had Wheels America evaluate the repair. The manager gave me an honest response, and told me that they wouldn't be able to fix the wheel properly while explaining that the technique they used could further compromise the rim. I dont know how you guys do it but my scrappy looking rim is new looking again. I would give all the stars but I did noticed the paint sprayed on the rim is more darker and muddy looking when compare to other wheel in sun light. I would still recommand these guys since the price and turn around is only 2 days. read more

I have a 1974 corolla with some 13" wheels that the company doesn't make anymore, rather than buy a new set I decided to give this shop a try, I had read about them on a couple of forums and people seemed generally pretty satisfied with thier work. There was a couple of reviews that weren't so good, but found alot more reviews saying only good things. Well luckily I had a great experience there. My only hope had been to save my wheel, not only was it repaired overnight but it looked great when i got it back. I will definitly be taking my other 3 to them. I cant have one great looking wheel and three beat up wheels. :) Give these guys a shot they may save your wheels. read more

So I originally came to this shop to get my rims fix because of scratches, they charge $170 for the service. The person I spoke to said it will matched the original factory finish and texture and also said they will do powder coating on the finish and so I agreed to the repair. After the rim was ready they remount it back to my vehicle and it looks ok not really the same as the original and powder coating kinda gives it an orange peel and shiny look to the rim which I didn't like. About 8 months later the coating on the rim starts to flake off and kinda forms a spider web crack on the surface. Not good, thinking it could be the powder coat. So I called and said I wanted it refinish, the guy I spoke to said no problem. So I came in and I said I wanted my rims fix because they didn't do it right. The guy that approach me was the manager and said they could fix it but the wheels has to be removed from the car. I was surprised because last time I went they remount my wheels but this dude try to give me the hard way. He would go on and on explaining that it's their company policy and all that Bs. He would not budge to have my wheels taken off which was an easy process so I had to take it back myself and I also had mention that no more powder coat on my rims. So when I got my rims back the powder coating was still applied. This people don't know how to listen and customer service also sucks I would not come back to this shop. read more

They can't match the color or lay down a smooth finish despite repeated attempts. Equally as bad as Kwik Silver.

Worst place ever brought my wheel to get a crack fix and refinish. The wheel been welded before and is leaking again. Before I drop it off I asked if it's fixable the said yes no problem we will re weld it and re finish it. 3 days later no one call me back with update so I called them and they said they can't refinish it because iof the color. Then I said it's ok don't refinish it just repair the crack. Another 4 days later still no one call me back so I called again and they said they can't even fix the crack because it's been previously welded by someone else and they don't want to touch someone else job. U should've told me the day I brought it in that u guys don't work on wheels that previously repair by another shop instead of waited a whole week without contacting me until I have to called a few times ask what's going on. Horrible service wasted my time. If anyone wants to get their wheels repair be expect to get sloppy services or just go to Hayward wheels repair. Stay away from this place read more

I ran over a pothole and had to purchase a reconditioned wheel from Wheels America last year. I had them mount and balance the wheel for me. Now that I had the money to replace all four of my tires, when they balanced the reconditioned wheel that I purchased from them, it is not completely round. When I called, I was told that I needed to speak with Ryan, the manager. I left three messages for him and he never called me back. I had to call the fourth time to finally catch him. They state that they have a lifetime warranty on their wheels. When I told him about my wheel, he said that since I have been riding on this wheel like this since last year, he is assuming that I bent the rims myself. I'm the only one who drives this car and have never hit any potholes or curbs since it was replaced. I find it weird that the only bent wheel is the wheel that I purchased from them. They could at least look at the wheel and they could see that there's no visible sign of impact. Their assuming that I bent the wheel myself without even looking at it. Their lifetime warranty doesn't mean crap. They said they warranty the structural integrity of the part but they wouldn't even look at it if you tell them that there's a problem. So if you get a wheel, and you have a problem with it, they're going to assume that you caused the damage yourself without even looking at it. And if you have to leave a message for the manager Ryan, forget about getting a phone call back. I'm an insurance adjuster and I have actually referred a lot of people to their business but I guess they're product is not as good as advertised. Turn elsewhere for your wheel needs. There are plenty of Wheel Reconditioners out there who would have a better warranty and better service. read more

After wasting 3 weeks for an order from BMW for a new rim that never came, I cancelled the order and I contacted Wheels America to check my bent rim for possible repair. These guys were very nice, very welcoming and helpful from the start. Anyway, after I got there, they checked the bent damage and they said they could repair it and if any issue, they'd contact me right away. They repaired the bent rim and made it look like new. I can't say thank you enough for their professionalism. By the way, they moved their location to Beecher Street in San Leandro (not far from Costco). I highly recommend Wheels America and I will use them should I need to in the future. read more

I wasn't sure what kind of job I was going to get based on the mixed reviews, but the wheel came out great. This particular wheel has machining marks and they were able to replicate or preserve the lines. I was not expecting this, so it was a great/pleasant surprise. I dropped it off in the morning and 24 hrs later, it was ready. I only wish that they had a closer location. read more

Have had my wheels back for a couple of weeks now after taking them to Wheels America, which was over a 100 miles away from Sacramento where I live and where the front and rear on the right side just got grinded on over the years driving in the city till I finally had enough, took them in and had a first class experience all the way through; (1.) the website was very informative showing before and after picture examples of what they can do with 24 hour turnaround time, which was a big deal to me, (2.) the repair estimate was lower than what I had been quoted over the phone, (3.) the shop itself had everything under one roof and they looked up my make and model to verify the particular color match for my wheels and then confirmed it with me verbally, (4.) Angelo (sorry if I messed up the spelling!) explained everything they would be doing, and (5.) when I went back to pick them up, they looked new again and not only that, but as a future returning customer I was told that I would get additional discounts if I ever needed them down the road! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't cheap, but seeing the way my car looks now, it was worth every penny--THANX ANGELO!! read more

Shouldn't even deserve a star. Worse company I have ever dealt with. Didn't get what I ordered. I have been waiting over a month for my stuff and still haven't received it. I try to call and get information on order and they say they will get back to me and never do. I would steer clear of this company. Maybe this will get somebody's attention and my issue will get resolved. read more
