I ordered online their Cherry Chocolate Chip cookies as well as their Snickerdoodle. It was an easy process and shipped quickly. Packaging was good-cookies were intact. The Snickerdoodle cookies were dry *sigh*. As for the Cherry Chocolate Chip cookie was delicious! They were moist and flavorful for a vegan cookie :-)

I've never had pecan pie before, so I got to try something new and glad it was from this local biz! Met up with a Yelp Elite turned friend (hi Michelle!) who gifted me a 6" pecan pie from Whisked, who I've never heard of before. With the temperatures getting colder out, no better time to try to become a pie fan. Almost immediately, I dug into the pie with a fork because the ooegy gooey of the pecan (see photo for proof) was calling to me. Nope, did not bother to cut it like a normal human, not even an ounce. When the fork cut through the pie, I knew I was in for a treat: it broke through the soft brown sugar filling and picked up the right amount of crust. YUM! It was sweet, it was indulgent, and it was crunchy because of the generous pecans on top. I finished just two days later... I mean, the 6" size means it's a personal pie, right?

A great dessert will leave you with no doubts, that you made the right decision, by devouring the calories of a divine dessert. Whisked Bakery has their items sprinkled around local organic shops. I've had mouthwatering cookies from here, but if you want your taste buds to have a block party, get the Whiskey Bourbon Pecan Pie! Each flavor operates on one accord, with a pleasantly balanced whiskey flavor. The pecans and crust really hold their own. The dessert screams southern charm. MOM's stores occasionally run sales on this item and have a larger version in the freezer aisle. Treat yourself!

Went to Whole Foods to buy some stoop waffles after a recent flight which reignited an old craving. Sadly, they were out. While browsing my dessert options I came across these pies and asked the kind baker if he'd ever tried them. He raved about the salted chocolate pie but me being a sucker for pecan pies, ended up getting this. Popped it in the fridge for a couple of hours before trying a slice and holy fucking shit it was AWESOME. Super tasty and not overly sweet like some pies. I ended up killing the whole thing and have been craving more since. Maybe Whisked puts drugs in here. Even considered getting a few delivered via Amazon since I was working all day but got sidetracked. Wrapping up things at work now and about to head out to get a few more, might even try the chocolate one too! #Stop AAPI Hate #Black Lives Matter #Support Local Businesses

I no longer live in the D.C. Area so I have had a chance to try any whisked baked goods. My parents being in the area and living by a market that sells lots of local foods had pies and cookies. The first time I've seen whisked anywhere. I got a salt chocolate pie and lemon pie. I couldn't even wait until I drove the chocolate pie back to nyc where I live before trying it. Rich, salty and delicious. The crust is how I like it, nice and crisp and flakey. The pies are a bit more expensive than a Giant or store pie but the taste is worth it.

Chocolate chess pie with sea salt - decadent, totally recommend

I bought a Whisked! pie at Glen's Garden Market this weekend. It was the chocolate chess pie with sea salt. It was something like nine dollars, which I thought was a very reasonable price; you get like 4-5 servings out of it depending on how you slice it, because despite its size it is VERY rich and filling (and I'm what you would call a "big eater"). As a chocolate lover, I recommend it; it's also not too salty, as the sea salt is more of a garnish than a main ingredient. I will definitely keep Whisked! in mind next time I want a pie.

Sea salt chocolate chess (small). Trust me, that unpretty crust is SO GOOD.

How do I convey how much I love these pies? (The cookies are good too but I'm a pie person. Pie over cookies. Pie over cake.) I haven't lived in DC in over a year and I still dream about these pies and talk about them, to the point that I go out of my way to get a pie whenever I visit DC and my DC friends know that a pie also makes a great gift and I also ordered pies for my wedding in Rehoboth Beach over cake. I'm in Texas, we flew to DC to pick up these pies, then drove to Rehoboth with them. Yes, they're worth it. (And I also got a mini pie for myself that I didn't have to share with guests because, come on.) Jenna was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole ordering and pickup process, which was just an easy email exchange. You can pick up special orders directly from their kitchen, but their usual pies are easily found at local groceries or farmers markets. What makes these pies particularly amazing to me is the flaky, buttery, handmade crust. It's not even or pretty but it's damn delicious. The classic Apple is my favorite and has ruined me for all other apple pies: perfect mix of crunchy apple and cinnamon, not overly sweet, with a fantastic crumble with pats on top. The sea salt chocolate chess is divine and had RAVE reviews at our wedding. Silky and rich with just enough salt to not be overwhelmingly sweet, it's one of the two pies Whisked ships nationally, so get on that! Their bourbon pecan and pumpkin are really tasty as well and if I were back in DC I would've tried all their seasonal flavors as well, but unfortunately those don't ship well to Texas. Obviously I've got to get back to DC more.

That's when I stumbled onto Sharbat. It's a rather quaint and cute Azerbaijani bakery and as I was window shopping all the cakes and baklavas, someone across the counter says "let me know if you have any questions" and I look up to see an angelic beautiful woman (this does not affect my rating haha) but I guess I wasn't expecting to see that. Anyway, she went through explaining various pastries and had a couple Turkish ones as well. I went with a pistachio baklava and a slice of honey cake. Honestly, I wanted to try all the cakes and even though they say honey cake is their most popular, there were a few that looked more appetizing. However, slightly convinced by the one other customer there eating her slice of honey cake, I decided to try it. I've only had honey cake once before so I won't act like I know what's best but that time the layers were thinner which I prefer but I like how it wasn't overly sweet despite it being honey forward. The baklava was one of the best, but I probably say that about most baklavas.

But now I suggest that Sharbat is a bakery for people who think they don't like baklava. My friends finally persuaded me to try some, and oh man is it good. It's nothing like the baklava I know. Perhaps because it is made Azerbaijani style - at the eastern end of Turkish culinary reach. It is more cakey and less sweet. But still plenty sweet, with a nice nutty crunch. I don't know whether to kiss or curse my friends for turning me on to this, but now I know. And now so do you.

To say, I am disappointed in my experience here is an understatement. I don't normally write review, however, I want to warn others before they waste their money. I went with a friend to support local businesses. We were excited because the reviews were pretty solid. However, once we ordered, we were greatly disappointed. I ordered a Matcha Latte and the servers simply poured milk into a dirty worn out cafeteria plastic cup and dumped matcha powder in it without stirring or blending or adding any flavor. The picture shown below is after I mixed the powder into the milk more. My friend ordered a caramel frappe (not pictured) and the drink lacked caramel. It was simply blended milk and ice. The making of our drinks did not reflect a "cafe" style nor experience. Moreover, the food was below lackluster. The Northern Capital sandwich looked amazing in theory; however, I received one small piece of chicken on a large hoagie roll drenched in mayo with 3 pieces of spinach and a slice of avocado. In my opinion, the portions definitely did not match the price of the sandwich. Furthermore, my friend ordered the Steak & Cheese which came without cheese. After this, my friend and I did not drink the Latte and Frappe. We ate a small portion of the sandwiches to give the restaurant a fair chance, but we were beyond disgusted with the drinks. Therefore, we asked for a refund or the server to re-make them. To which the server laughed in our face with a nasty attitude replying, "Absolutely not!" I absolutely hate to leave a 1-star review on a local restaurant, but I could not go on without warning others to avoid the "cafe" portion of this place if you value your money. Fortunately, we went to a local restaurant nearby afterward to cleanse our palette and thoroughly enjoyed the service and food. More importantly, the prices were comparable to this place but they provided much larger portions and great service.
