I had a great time, the atmosphere was cool, I had great company, and our server was charming. I just have a few notes; the table side guac felt a little weak and inauthentic; please get these people a proper mortar and pestle (yes I googled), instead of a butter knife. Second and most importantly, everything was SO spicy. We still enjoyed but the only safe territory was rice and water. Literally everything must have been infused with jalapeño and it was ALOT. Such a fun atmosphere! My bartender Lola was the best! She make the worlds best espresso martini & a mean margarita! I had the most delicious birria tacos, perfect amount of spice, they come with a large side of beans and yummy assortment. Their bathroom is SOOO COOL!! Way too expensive. We went there for the first time. Food was not great, my fajita steak was tough as rubber, everything was unreasonably priced, one order of guacamole which had 1.5 small avocado was $14, the chips were good but the salsa was soupy and came in a square small dishes and we could barely eat out of them and way too hot. Pleasantly surprised! We went in for dinner and expected the average experience. From the time we walked in and was greeted by the hostess Izabella, I was instantly pleased. She was 1. Attentive ( which most places say hi and go about their way) she engaged with the few of us waiting and was so sweet. Then we sat at the bar to wait fir our table and met Jenna the bartender. What a wonderful ball of energy and another pleasant experience. She was helpful, engaging and attentive! Full bar and we never felt ignored. Had my 1st expresso martini thanks to her. Finally we interacted with our server Jasmine who was such a great server. She too was engaging and Attentive, she made sure we had everything we needed and she was also so kind and fun. I really like to come here but it's just odd every time we come in we have a horrible waitress either she's rude or just acts like she doesn't wanna be here working. Every time we come my husband gets the Hawaiian hammer, the waitress with a stanky look on her face goes "the what?" And I had to repeat back to her until she understood. The portions of drinks is crazy ... every time we come I either have a full class or a half empty glass not sure what the issue is. We couldn't find anyone to give us napkins while eating until we had to wave someone down. The chip bowl we got was sparing for four people...we asked our waitress to bring silverware and it seemed like that was just too much for her, and it's crazy how a different waiter came and took our plates but not any busser who's on their phone or walking past or our waitress who's chatting at the bar. Got there at 6:30 and already there was a 1 hour wait. The place was hopping. The bartender was one her game pumping out drinks. I had a house margarita $10 and ordered Birria enchiladas with red sauce. For a side I ordered birria baked beans. Everything was delicious! The enchiladas were delightfully spicy, but not overly hot and did not build in heat as you ate them. The atmosphere was lively and somewhat noisey. The prices are on the high side , but so was the quality.The one thing I didn't like was the way the pricing was on the menu. It would list the item then say +$5 for birria or $X for this protein. Even the sides were different additional costs. It kinda felt like if you ordered a drink, the ice and the straw would be additional cost. Up charge on everything. I had a burrito and asked for some green sauce. And the charged me a dollar. On top of 3 dollars for the side of soup which is one of the options. This restaurant nickels and dimes you for everything. I was afraid to ask for salt. I figured that would be a couple dollars. No salt and or pepper shakers The food is ok. We made a reservation for Friday night. Went to restaurant it was busy and the hostess tried to sit us in the bar vs. dining room. Bar was crowded with people drinking so we didn't want to sit there so asked to be moved. It took like 10-15 minutes while others came in and were seated immediately in the dining room. Manager came gave us a nice table in dining room but was not a good first impression. We had a great server Kayla and the margarita arefantastic. The table side guacamole was delicious my husband had shrimp tacos and the were full of shrimp. I had enchiladas that were very tasty. Load rice and pasta elote was also good. The restaurant is loud and swing tables by the windows are fun. overall good place just need to get hostess more prepared to make decisions on their own. read more

I loved the nitro espresso martini. The steak fajitas were so good, the steak was tender and juicy and really flavorful. Our server was excellent, she was very attentive and kind. We sat on the swings and they were cool but after 10 minutes I started to get a little motion sick, my boyfriend was fine though. I would ask for a booth next time. First of all, the drinks were excellent tasting. Strawberry margarita and mango drink. $25 total for those, and only criticism is the small size for what you pay for. We waited on a swing table and had pull drink at the bar. There is one bartender for 19 people sitting around the bar. Therefore, it took quite a bit for our order to get taken, our drinks to arrive and then to pay for them. We got seated and ordered chips and trio salsa along with burrito and handheld tacos. Our food came out before our chips and salsa. Had to ask for it. They have 3 waitresses running the whole joint. Staff is friendly but overwhelmed. This is at 2:00 PM on a Saturday. Like a DC Cobbs, the food is pricey, but that's ok if the service staffing is adequate. These are simple fixes that would make the overall experience much more palatable read more

They paid attention to every detail of the the design and decor even down to the beautiful restrooms ... Our server was kind, friendly, and patient. We had a group of 6. I Wish I could give a food review but I didn't pass 2 step authentication at Whiskey Diablo in McHenry. Came with a friend of mine starving and wanted to check the place out because the ambiance seemed nice and it was a newer spot in town. We both ordered drinks (Margarita and cocktail.) Waitress asks for our ID's (normal) and we give her our State ID's (We both have out of state ID's due to us being active duty Military.) She reads them and hands them back. 5 minutes later, a different waitress comes to our table and asks to see our ID's again with no explaination. I give her my military ID instead of my state ID kind of as a "here, damn, it's really me." But she asked for my state ID again and I gave it to her. She hands them back to us and I'm thinking that's it, but nope! They send the bartender to ask us for our ID's AGAIN with no explanation and I just got up and left. read more

I will start off saying the food was good and our waitress was amazing. However, the drinks, well they need some help here. We went as a party of 5, made a reservation and all, they sat us at a table top for 4 and pulled up a chair, it was in the back corner right were the kitchen was, so it was hard for the servers to get by. We ordered drinis, I had the house margarita (it was a mix), my boyfriend ordered a Long Island ice tea, that was a disaster, it was not made right and when he said something, the waitress wanted to make the situation right, spoke with her manager "he was a dick", stating well a Long Island isn't made with tea, same thing with the bartender!! (no shit sherlock) They did finally take it off the bill and he ordered something else, but needless to say, they act just like they do a Cobb, so it will be a fat chance of us going back!
