Enjoyed the selection and the whiskey however Lucas, our server, was too busy trying to get it in with a local bachelorette party to pay attention to when we needed drinks. The brussle sprouts are amazing! The shrimp tacos were under seasoned and not very good. But their chicken is wonderful with a great Crispy skin, however at times the piece of chicken underneath isn't very big and you have more breading then chicken. read more

So, where do I start... back in February of this year... I came downtown to look for accommodations post divorce. Looking for a place I settled on the fact that renting now until the perfect place came about was cost effective. I walked into whiskey tango foxtrot and met ELY. I spent the next hour venting on pricing, availability, and issues... all the while he listened and served great cocktails and some apps. This was February, I finally settled and rented close by. In April I finally moved in. After the move I walked into whiskey tango foxtrot and...."the man" ELY"...without missing a beat like it was yesterday yelled out "Chicago Mike" what a warm reception from a professional bartender. The rest of the staff welcomed me with open arms... it is an amazing place to eat, drink , and meet new friends... you won't be disappointed at any level. read more

Stopped by the other afternoon for a beer and a bite. Enjoyed a River North IPA, but didn't enjoy the fried chicken so much. The greasy skin of the chicken thighs creates a gross barrier between an otherwise delicious breading and a luscious juicy chicken thigh. It would be much better sans skin. Do yourself a favor and get the Chicken and Waffles or the Sausage Sammy. Both are INCREDIBLE. Service is great, really cute place, and everytime i've been there for brunch it hasn't been too hectic. Great service (Jennifer) our waitress was excellent. Had the pork meatballs for an appetizer - Great flavor. For dinner we had the whiskey tango foxtrot burger with fruit and the tuna banh mi sandwich with a side salad. Both were excellent and the portions were large. Not too great. Slow service and our food was mediocre at best. Our $10+ salads were nothing more than romaine with a few other ingredients mixed in. All of them were sitting literally in a puddle of dressing, to the point that none of us finished them. read more

The honey sirache fried chicken is great as well as the adult root beer float. We sat up stairs on the deck and it was great but there was a lot of gnats that it affected or dinner. Other then that would definitely recommend. read more

I wish the union station north area would put in some more restaurants (urban mix isn't coming any time soon) so I don't feel guilty about always going to WTF. I would likely still go even if there were other options. Brunch is great, never had a bad meal and their mimosas are great. Food is good too for lunch and dinner. Stopped here for dinner before the Rockies silenced the Cubs fans who turned out en masse at tonights marathon game. Nice beer selection, great food, and a lot of energy. We had the brussels sprouts appetizer which was better than i make at home! Also buffalo cauliflower was a great find. Family had the fried chix sandwich, the braised beef sandwich, and i had the seared tuna tacos which was fantastic. One ordered the power salad and thought it was average, shocked by deep dried quinoa which was "stupid, tasted like dirt". I still give it 5 stars read more

Been here a couple times. Service has been pretty good. They're very attentive with the bottomless mimosas which was much appreciated. Never an empty glass while we were there! The Whiskey French Toast is probably the BEST french toast I've ever had in my life. So I guess I'd say it's best for brunch, from my experience. Lunch/Dinner was all right, but not more than one or two entree options for a vegetarian. My main complaint is - why are there always FLIES everywhere? I mean everywhere. The first time we ate there we had to move inside because of the gross amount of flies on the patio, but then quickly realized the inside isn't much better. Flies everywhere, constantly shoo-ing them away from our food and drinks. Second time we went....still flies. Lots of them. It honestly made my appetite decrease a great deal. So, not sure where all the flies are coming from, but it's not very pleasant to eat around. If WTF can sort that issue out, I'd be a customer much more often. read more

Good drinks (so they are on par with any where else downtown).. Food is pretty meh for the price. Definitely not the quality of food as an elite bar-stye downtown restaurant. Like a nicer version of a Chili's or Applebee's, but double the price.. The salmon is pre-cooked and packaged yet costs $7 for a 3 oz piece on a salad.. Brunch is the same - a nicer version of an IHOP, but not worth the price. Bloody's are way below par, do not recommend. I live right around corner and the majority of my friends on the block feel the same way. It'll get a ton of spill over from the baseball games, so they might do OK based of people who don't know it. It's not that the food is bad - it's just almost always fried and priced like you're going to a 5-star spot. If they were more realistic about who they are, I think it could be a better option. read more

The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was on point! Too bad our waiter, Lee, made a very poor impression. He didn't tell us any of the specials, and chose to not give us tickets to the raffle giving away MLB tickets. We didn't even know about either until we overheard waiters telling other patrons. He recommended a drink that was simply atrocious, that was $11 down the drain. When it came time to pay the bill, I had to ask another waiter to run our card, since Lee was too busy flirting two tables over. Honestly, the first time I have ever considered not leaving a tip. If you go, the pot roast sandwich and fried chicken are both delicious, just avoid this waiter at all costs. read more

The food is awesome, but I don't understand the service here. The wait staff gives the impression that customers are a burden to them, and are not attentive. Then there is no hostess or sign telling you to seat yourself or wait to be seated, myself and other parties were just standing in the lobby clueless to how it works. Then we finally grabbed a table, and were never greeted by a server, after waiting 30 min, we moved to the bar, and were served quickly, but he bartender was very impersonal, and we had to yell and wave him down anytime we wanted to order anything. The music is ridiculously loud that you can't hear anyone, this level of music makes sense for the roof top as a part of standing room, but in the Lower level in a booth doesn't make any sense. I really want this place to be good because is right next to where I live, but the service keeps reminding me why I don't go there. If the service matched the food, this place would be absolutely incredible. read more

Fantastic food and even better service. I ordered via a local food-service delivery site (GrubHub). The experience with GrubHub was dreadful (after placing my order with a confirmed 50-60 minute expected wait time, they upped the time to 2 1/2 hours!). A call to Whiskey Tango Foxtrot told me the food was ready on time - and the manager took it upon himself to make things right for me - contacting GrubHub to get my food delivered an hour sooner than the delayed time, then refunded me my food costs - for a problem that was not created by the restaurant. Above and beyond the call of duty. When my food arrived, it was fabulous (the fried chicken -outstanding!! Worth a five-star rating on its own). Next time I'm in town, I'll head down there in person - can't wait to try their whiskeys! read more

patrick the bartender is a master mixologists and he constructed a unique margarita and made my cinco de mayo truly one to remember. erin is really friendly too. the ambience is really modern and inviting amd warm. i recommend anyone to come by for food and drinks and friendly conversation. 5stars read more
