My husband and I came in on a Friday night. There was only one other couple there. I got a hot toddy that was really good (hence the two stars), and my husband ordered a whiskey neat (this is important for later). We were trying to talk about some serious family stuff but the bartender kept talking to us, interrupting our conversation. We were sitting at the bar, fine, we probably should have sat somewhere else to talk. I noticed my husband never got his drink so I asked in front of the bartender if he got his drink, and the bartender said he did get his drink. My husband didn't want to fight about it. We wanted to leave, but waited over 20 minutes for the bill. Then the bill came and it was over $20 for his drink that he never got, so I said something. The guy doubled down and insisted that he served my husband something on the rocks when 1. He didn't serve my husband anything and 2. Even if he had, my husband asked for his drink neat. It was really awkward and the vibes weren't great. The guy seemed like a nice guy overall but it was a weird vibe and I don't think we'll be back, which is a bummer because we live nearby and walk by this place all the time. read more

Second time we have been in for a drink and if you don't sit at the bar, do not expect to be asked if you would like a drink. People were sitting outside also, but the 2 bartenders were content standing behind the bar talking to themselves although the bar was completely empty. Was visiting the area around the holidays and wanted a low-key place to meet up with a sizable group of friends. Thankfully this place was empty, as our large group was able to congregate in the comfy sofas and armchairs! The bartender was incredibly welcoming, and when a cocktail I had seen on Yelp was no longer being served (ran out of the main liquor featured?) I described what I wanted- a hot, creamy alcoholic drink to ward off the bone-chilling weather. She made me the most delectable hot buttered rum- all I can say is YUM!! I had 2 or 3. Several of my friends ordered the eggnog, they all loved it. Half the men in our group got whiskey/dark liquor drinks, based on the bartender's recommendations and they both really enjoyed their drinks, as well! The staff was great, I forgot to ask the woman's name but I have a feeling you can trust anyone working here to give you a drink you'll really enjoy. The Whisky Lounge is absolutely amazing! I wish I could give it 10 stars! It has a chill vibe, great music, fantastic drinks, amazing service, and an ambiance that's both super chill and very fun! I love the classy decor, comfy couches and you guys...!!! The fireplace!!! They also have a pool table (and quarters!) House made ingredients, crafted cocktails with a culinary background, and almost 300 different whisky selections to choose from make this bar an experience! This is 10/10 the worst bar experience I have ever had. They first off started talking about us very loudly behind the bar and said our drink choice was ridiculous.... We chose something from THEIR menu. We closed out and went to another bar due to the poor attitude. I lost my purse so retraced my steps before we called our ride home. Went into the bar and the owner goes off on us and told us to leave his bar. We were very nice when we left the first time tipped them well and said thank you to both of them and left even though they were not kind. I went in just to ask if they saw a black purse. My boyfriend defending me said you can come talk to me don't yell at my girlfriend and the guy PEPPER SPRAYS him. All of the people that were inside had to get air because the pepper spray was so strong and they were coughing. What a great way to run a business! Great lounge, it' has a cozy sitting area by the fire that is perfect this time of year. The bartender was a class act. He was very attentive and welcoming to newbies (me) and the "regulars" alike. The Cocktails where top notch, sexy and delicious. Shout out to Corey for great experience! I met a few "regulars" while sitting at the bar that just dropped in for a drink. My friends and I stopped in here after dining at Noble Pie recently. The bartender was extremely knowledgable and quick to make us some personalized drinks. I prefer low sugar vodka drinks and was poured a tangerine vodka beverage that was delicious and didn't leave me hurting the next day. They have a pool table and plenty of floor space for impromptu dancing if you're feeling it. It looked like they had an impressive whiskey collection and my male friends all stuck to the lounge's take on an Old Fashioned for the entire night. Great ambiance and excellent service. I stopped in here with a group of friends during a week day close after opening, and it's pretty damn cool. It lives up to its name with a wide range of whiskey to choose from, and it has a cool, relaxed vibe that the mixologists behind the bar enforce. We certainly laid claim to the pool table in the back, and at times we might have been loud and rowdy, but the staff were always cool with us. On top of it all, the drinks were all delicious and they were able to make suggestions to satisfy. We didn't break the bank buying rounds, and we all left feeling like we had a great time. What a fun place top of midtown near Sheas Tavern. Looks new, very clean and staff was very polite and friendly. The bartender was a mixologist and hand shook the cocktails for the girls. He pointed out his cabinet where he keeps odds and ends of new items to try. I am a scotch guy and saw he had a 12yr old Speyside and took a shoot over a large ice cube best way to enjoy. We enjoyed 2 whisky cocktails and a martini. Each was creative with excellent flavor. The Whisky Lounge is across the street from Chuy's / Whispering Vine in Midtown. We ordered the variety charcuterie board which had a little bit of everything that was perfect for our group of 4 people.
