The food is great, server was friendly and attentive and great with the kids, but none of the employees were wearing masks. If you are ok with that then you will enjoy your meal. That alone would have earned a 3.5 or 4 star rating from me, would have been 4 or 4.5 if the hostess would have cracked a smile or said hello. The store is cute and has a nice selection of products. The thing that bothered me was when we entered the store the women at the front counter told me I didn't need to wear my mask and could take it off while shopping. I thought that was inappropriate. That is in conflict with the statewide mask mandate in the midst of surging COVID cases in the state. It's one thing for an individual to make the decision to not wear a mask on their own, but it's an entirely different level of irresponsibility to actively discourage other people from wearing masks in this setting. I live in Milwaukee... so it's a good hour's drive for breakfast at Whispering Orchards. It is 100% worth it. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast stops. The food is delicious, fresh, and largely sourced by what is grown/produced by the owners. Specials change seasonally, which is always fun. If you don't get up there early, there is likely to be a wait, but they move pretty fast. And in the meantime you can see (and feed, if you bring quarters for the dispenser) their llamas, donkeys and goats. There are also chickens, rabbits, an ostrich, peacocks and other critters running around. And there's a shop next to the restaurant where you can get jams, honey and seasonal produce to take home. read more

Stopped her for breakfast and was so glad I did. They had a great selection of the traditional breakfast foods. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, the bacon was thick cut but still crispy, and the apple cider tasted like biting into an apple. Whispering Orchards is the perfect farm restaurant for a breakfast or lunch visit. The meals are homemade with baked in house bread (often infused with fruit). I had the Rhubarb coffee cake which was delicious and came with eggs, toast, and a choice of meat. Adding a side of hash browns is a must! The prices are low. Don't forget to explore the farm and say hello to the animals. The bull and sheep out in the pasture are perfect for a quintessential Wisconsin photo. read more

Found this hidden gem listed on Yelp - thank you to all who reviewed before us! The farm & restaurant is located a quick 10 minute drive off 43 & is so worth it! We were seated right away & our server was great - only improvement suggestion was we saw the chalk board with the daily specials on the way out so sure wish she had told us about them...but my supreme (ham, cheddar, onion, green pepper, tomato) omelet was cooked perfectly & the bacon - well the bacon was wonderful - could have been a perfect 10 & "the best ever" rating if the cook hadn't pre-cooked it & warmed it up at the time of our order. The side of ham was one of the best ever but unfortunately they don't sell it in the cute store next door. My husbands breakfast potatoes won out over my hash-browns & the bread was home baked & thick sliced. Everyone around us was ordering the apple cider & this was sold in the store too so must be a specialty. One last suggestion - no one was in the store so these folks must trust everyone to come back to the restaurant to pay for their items & the hostess doesn't have any option to weigh the bacon as it priced per pound - suggestion is to price the bacon so your customer doesn't have to wait while a server runs back to the barn. This place was AMAZING! We had a party of 6 on a Sat. and had great service! I had Peach French Toast which was great. The bacon was sliced the thickest I've ever had. Some of the other guys had pancakes with an apple topping and they enjoyed their meal as well. If you are ever in this area, definitely worth eating here. We travel every weekend to a different state and try to eat at local places, and this is by far the best breakfast I have ever had! read more

Fantastic meal. There were a lot of things on the menu that I would've liked to try. It was an extra special occasion because my young kids got to see the most beautiful pheasants, the cutest baby goats, and expressive Emu. Their favorite part was climbing on stacks of hay bales. read more

Awesome little mom-and-pop place for breakfast! We did wait for about 30 min to be seated as a party of 2, as the place was hopping on a Sunday morning. We walked the grounds and looked at the animals and shopped the small store on site. Breakfast was homemade with peaches on French toast, and farm fresh egg omelets. Coffee was perfect. Went here on a recent trip to a Kohler. I had the apple bread French toast and thought it was great. It was s huge portion. Also, the thick cut bacon was just what bacon is supposed to look and taste like. I will be back the next time we are out this way. Only complaint, they did not have any apple bread available to take home. That's how good it was! read more

I certainly understand why this place receives a 5 rating, unfortunately because of where we sat I have to give it a 4. My suggestion is to make a waiting area so patrons like ourselves do not have to be seated in the area that others are waiting in. It was a cool morning and the opening of the door cooled off the coffee and entrees quickly. That aside, the food here is fabulous! The home cooked bacon, omelets, pancakes, French toast, and egg sandwiches are all delicious! Thank you for the warmed coffee cups, what a terrific idea! The food is outstanding. The french toast made with raspberry bread was so good- it was obvious that the ingredients were the best, and it was from scratch. I usually try to take something home, but I had to eat all of this. The first bite was a great as the last. The bacon was the like I've never had bacon before. The server said it was local as much of their food was. The large chunks of toasted raisin bread were a treat. I really felt like I was totally satisfied and nourished after this meal. Many times after a restaurant meal - even one that I have enjoyed - I feel a bit "off". This food was delicious and healthy and made me feel terrific for the rest of the day. The place itself is so friendly and homey. We had a table that over looked the parking area and were treated to a parade of chickens, dogs, and goats!!! It was great!! There are Rabbits and various types of fowl, donkeys and a llama in a pen -- The baby goats were really cute. They have a great shop next door, where we bought some Honey Crisp Apple Cider, and a carton of fresh eggs. I think I met some of the hens that produced my eggs as I went out to the car!! I have noticed that almost all reviews are from women and that may account for my lower rating. I agree with almost all of their positive comments however, if you like a healthy sized portion of food, you will be disappointed. All was good and waitress excellent but these were the smallest eggs I have seen in my life! I got one slice of toast and bacon with it. Bacon was excellent but this is a poor value for the money paid for such small portions. I have never experienced smaller portions in my lifetime of eating out. Guys, you better take a snack bar along. read more
