However, this spa has EVERYTHING I needed all in one place, so I decided to try again. I am glad I did, as yesterday I had a great experience. First of all, the person at the front desk (Ashley, maybe?) was very friendly when I called and when I arrived. I scheduled some waxing and hydra facial with Emily. Emily is AHMAZING, and I will return for a regular facial soon. I appreciate her knowledge of the products, and she tells you everything she is doing. Plus, she was very sweet, but not too talkative (I hate small talk and like to RELAX at the salon). Bailey gave me a haircut. As far as technique, it was ok. I wouldn't say I have found The One (I have been shopping for a regular stylist for 3 years since my long term hair stylist chose to be a stay at home mom). Overall I liked that Bailey was quiet and the end result was great. I would go back to her for a trim, but I will keep looking for my forever stylist. Which probably won't be at Salon M since there are only 3 stylists here. I liked the August discount for teachers, but according to the flyer, I should have gotten $15 off both facial abs haircut services. Ashley only gave me one discount, which is a bummer. I do like their rewards points program!!! That is a cool incentive to get you to return. You earn $1 for every $50 you spend.

However, whenever the pandemic hit, I've only been back there maybe once and nobody working there was wearing a mask. In May of this year, I got in contact with the hairdresser I used there to see if I could get an appointment to do my hair for prom. She told me she could check something when she got to work and she never got back to me. I had to find another place to go to. It was not only rude, it was pretty unprofessional. Me and my relative both have found a different place to go to.

My moms hair is now completely fried, and she got a chemical burn. Prior to getting her hair highlighted she got 5" cut off and now she has to get alot more off because of how damaged it is. The owner of the salon did give my mom her money back but made my mom feel like the damage was her fault because she had to high of expectations.. and that what she wanted was going to be a process. Which my mom understood and did not expect it to be 100% what she wanted but at least close enough and not brassy and damaged.

I have been in the service/sales industry for 17 years and have had many spray tans, but I cannot…read morebegin to explain how blown away I am at the amazing balance of professionalism, warmth, and perfectionism that Andrea exhibits. It is very rare to find that Golden Trinity in this industry, and especially not when dealing with the more intimate services (waxing, spray tanning, etc). Not only did she fit me in to her schedule on extremely short notice, (called at 7:30am and was at my house by 9am), she also has the most realistic pricing compared to the majority of beauty services in Houston. And don't worry about hidden or additional costs with Andrea, because unlike everyone else, her pricing is flat and up front. No bait and switch pricing like everywhere else who advertise for $45 and then hit you with another $20+ for the instant bronzer--- knowing that you'll end up paying for it because without the bronzer, that would defeat the entire purpose of spray tanning... Instant results!! By the time she began applying the spray tan, I felt like I had known her forever. Which made the experience of being fully nude and exposed to someone you just met, feel more like a spa day with your bestie. Andrea takes her time with the application and is extremely tedious in making sure there are no streaks or imperfections AND spends ample time afterwards to ensure it sets perfectly! Which to me, is the single most important part of the process and something I have not found anywhere else. The color was an amazing/natural bronze tone and instantly noticeable! It completely exceeded my expectations! My only advise to you is that if you are considering using someone else other than Andrea for your beauty needs (tanning/makeup), then prepare yourself for the additional costs, less than perfect results, and the standard and annoying touch up routine for creases, streaks, patches, etc. Word had definitely gotten around about Andrea and she stays busy, so If she can't fit you in on short notice, as she was able to do for me, then JUST WAIT for her next available time! Trust me... it's more than worth it!!!
