I don't know exactly what the difference is between ice cream and frozen custard... but I'm beginning to suspect frozen custard is what dreams are made of. The invisible space wizard who designed the universe clearly took his time when he got to Whit's. This place is special. The custard is the perfect combination of sweet, creamy, and thick. Not "thick" in the sense that your spoon stands up by itself and files for residency. Just thick enough to feel rich and indulgent without turning into a dairy-based construction material. They've got just about every flavor and topping combination you could want. Cone, cup, sundae... whatever. My personal favorite is the version they blend together like a Blizzard. They call it something with "Whit" in the name, but I was too busy experiencing pure joy to retain that information. Every bite was fantastic. Whit's is a local gem! Great custard, friendly service, and reasonable prices. I got the Whitser - vanilla custard mixed with your toppings of choice. I chose banana and butterscotch. It was delicious! Good variety in sizes as well, perfect to have something for yourself or something to share. We got there soon after they opened their doors at 2 pm on a Sunday. We were lucky. We got our orientation from the energetic staff and made our choices just in time. There was a pretty steady flow of their fans as we enjoyed our frozen custard outside on their patio. We weren't rushing and chatted with other customers seated nearby and the whole time, frozen custard fans were popping in--even the drive through was busy. So the secret is out about Whit's Frozen Custard. It IS creamier than ice cream with more substance than gelato. We liked it! service was phenomenal. the cashier who took our order was very friendly and charismatic. he was knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions when asked. i went with the reese's whitser (i don't recall the menu item name but it had crushed reese's and peanut butter with their signature frozen vanilla custard). it was very tasty, smooth frozen custard and bits of reese's all throughout. definitely worth the cold treat on a cold night. read more

This is our new go-to dessert/treat spot for sure. Whit's has a huge selection of flavors and styles for offerings. Very friendly and helpful service, and the establishment was clean and tidy. Indoor seating is provided as well as dog friendly patio seating outside. They even have a drive-thru! The custard was delicious and reasonably priced. They have special weekly rotating flavors. Ask for what's currently offered or check their website to see what's upcoming. We tried a sample of the flavor of the week, The Black Cherry Cordial, and were instantly hooked. We ordered a kid's scoop ($3.84), and it was enough for us to share after our large meal. Looking on the website for the next rotating flavor, which is the Butter Pecan, we'll definitely be back to take advantage of enjoying that flavor as well. They also have an amazing selection of grab and go treats, too. From custard pints and custard cakes to chocolate dipped bananas, custard cookie sandwiches, and even a "doggy sundae" treat for your four legged friend. I love Whit's frozen custard! They are my new favorite place to stop in for a treat. Everything I have tried is delicious, from the basic vanilla and chocolate to the whitsers with yummy mix ins. ( I LOVED the Almond Joy.) The shop is really nice and they have a great outdoor seating area as well as indoors.
