You can buy those yourself online or at most any retailer and do the self installation. The ADT app does not even control them. So, there is no reason to pay a premium for ADT services. Simplisafe is just as good or better. SafeStreets USA not able to hard wire my doorbell. After I had an electrician out, I called Safe Streets as I needed 2 terminal screws to finish my installation myself. These screws are literally 6cents online. They told me I was outside my 90 warranty window and they could not help me. They sent me back to ADT.

I needed a couple of keys copied, but the clinker was the skeleton key I needed for a building that is 110+ years old. Copying the keys was easy, but the skeleton key was more difficult. Instead of selling me a couple of keys which may or may not have worked back at home the locksmith suggested I pull the lock from the door and bring it in so they could find an exact duplicate to the key. He explained there were thousands of options for skeleton keys and wanted to be sure they had something that worked. I appreciate the honesty and suggestion as a previous purchase of a key from a larger hardware store establishment failed because the key failed to operate the lock. I have another lock that needs to be reassembled or replaced and will rely on their expertise for assistance. Even though the bus ride from my home in north Minneapolis to their south Minneapolis location is lengthy it was worth the trip. I found him to be extremely unprofessional, spiteful, and intentionally hurtful in this angry demeanor, and the follow-up communication we received from him was even worse: it didn't even quite halfway apologize and then just doubled down on and tried to justify his abhorrent behavior. I literally feel like I was villainized by him. I'm appalled at his treatment towards me and will never approach anything to do with this man again with a 10-foot pole.
