This is the old faithful. I've been eating White Castle from this location for over 30yrs. It's a constant in the neighborhood and it's what you crave whenever that craving hits. Service is up and down through the years, but today it was great. Probably 6 cars in the line when I pulled up at 6p and the line moved at a good pace. The signs for the New Crispy Chicken had me intrigued so I ordered a #1 with Cheese on the burgers, 1 Crispy Chicken with Peace Tea. All the food was hot and fresh and the order was right. The drive-thru Service was decent, not spectacular. The New Crispy Chicken taste pretty doggone good. I actually wished I'd had gotten those for the full meal instead. Next time, I will. Burgers were spot on as they should be. Overall, a good Friday end of work week meal. read more

Waited in line for 40 mins for one combo meal. Ridiculous for you to be In a fast food line that long. If you have someone place a big order you have them pull forwards so other customers aren't waiting forever. I can have dinner at a sit down in quicker time then that. The girl at window was extremely rude , unprofessional and slammed the window in my face . read more

With drive-thru service only at this location during COVID, White Castle was unable to efficiently handle peak demand during a mid-week visit. Averaging 4 minutes a car it was a 16 minute wait after placing an order. Perplexingly, it has two drive-thru windows--1 on either side of the building--but was operating only one during the lunch period. read more

I haven't been here to eat in awhile. I went through the drive thru and placed my order. They didn't confirm my order which I found odd. I ordered a cheesy sack (10 cheeseburgers), sack of fries and an order of chicken rings. Nothing spectacular cheap food to get rid of the crave. read more

The lines are always long at this location and they have 2 drive thrus. But they move along pretty quickly so I have no complaints. The fried green beans have a hold on me lately and I can't stop ordering them. They're not ever greasy from this location which means the folks are cooking at the right temps and changing the oil regularly. The crave will hit again and I'll return.... read more

The line was long when I went (dinner rush) so I went in and placed my order. I was very impressed with the employees! Everyone was working their station efficiently while wearing gloves, which I appreciated. I didn't have to wait long, and my order was fresh and made to order. read more

When I saw the movie Harold and Kumar go to White Castle I honestly didn't understand why the hell they wanted to come here so bad. My guess is that it's like a novelty since there aren't many around. Kinda like San Diego's novelty with Sonic. (which I heard there is one opening up in Santee soon). White Castle offers hamburger, cheeseburger, and double cheeseburger. They are tiny sandwiches (AKA SLYDERS) that would be suitable for a gnome. They're square with matching square buns and rehydrated onion bits. You usually buy them by the sack of 10 or more. Other things on the menu depending on which store you go to.... fries, onion rings, chicken rings( yea, you heard me right--rings of chicken), jalapeno burger, chicken or fish sandwich. I had a nasty experience with White Castle when I was about 10 years old. Ate too many of those damn slyders and puked my little 10 year old heart out. Never ate them again till I discovered alcohol in my 20's. You can buy white castles in some of your local grocery freezer sections. hooray. read more

Yum!!! So wish the PNW had a White Castle, actually maybe not, it wouldn't help me much, only hinder my need to eat better, lol! Going back to the Hubby's hometown always brings us on a run to White Castle to fulfill our cravings and this particular trip did just that! Visited: July 30th, 2011 Oh White Castle.....it has been two years since I've been there. I first enjoyed it when I had it in 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota and went back in 2009 when I was visiting family again. I was excited when my boyfriend's brother took us there when we arrived in St. Louis (the closest airport to Mt. Olive, Illinois). I once again was devouring the little sliders. I truly love this burger place and wish it was in California, but the White Castle chain is only in the midwest and east coast. :( read more

Late hour shift has the worst customer service. I'm not sure why they advertise certain products only to give you a hard time when ordering. I even complained to the corporate office and nothing has been resolved. Proceed at your own risk! Especially during late hours! read more

Sliders, belly-bombers, burp-burgers.... I cannot believe I have not reviewed this place / these burgers yet. I am going to date myself but I remember when this place was first built. I remember hanging out and cruising this place way back in the 70's in HS. And now that I live in Denver, this is the place I go when I am in town visiting family and friends to get my White Castle fix on. The place has changed... a little. They still crank out the little, square burgers with holes in them and I still LOVE to scarf a bag and smile in contentment. Yah, they sell them in the freezer section of your grocery. However to truly enjoy them you have to walk into a restaurant and be totally enveloped in that greasy, oniony aroma. read more

This is the BEST White Castle in STL. I work nearby and I eat here at least once a week and my order isn't the most simple order however they always get it right. The food is ALWAYS so fresh and delicious. I've even ordered double cheeseburgers and cheese fries for breakfast because it's that good. Thank you for being amazing. The service here was AWFUL! My friend and I went through drive through, ordered the items from menu in which she asked for a freshly made burger. The employee repeated the order but once we got to the window somehow the order was incorrect and we had to wait even longer for our order. We pulled up. We waited. Once the food had been brought out we still were not given a fresh burger and so then we got out and went inside where we were greeted with frustrated faces and attitude. We were given a fresh burger without any words exchanged not even an apology or Thank you. I will never spend money where my money can't get me adequate customer service. read more

Lived in St. Louis most of my life. I'm a native. Lived in California for a few years and every time I came home to visit, I stopped at White Castles after leaving the airport and ate White Castles a few more times in addition to fried rice, before leaving. Some people call White Castles "gas burgers." Not the nicest way to describe them, but if you love onions, you'll experience that feeling. As someone who doesn't like onions, I've never become sick from eating them. I order my white castle w/ cheese and no onion. I like the fries but the boxes they now serve them in seems to be a way to cut expenses. Anyhow, White Castles is a favorite of mine and my families.
