Was in town to take care of some business and whenever I'm in Vegas I have to make a White Castle stop. This is one of the locations I had never been to, and fortunately it was close to where I was. I'm glad I came. Staff was personable and friendly, store was clean, and the food was hot AND fresh! I left with a #1 AND a Crave Case! I was pleasantly surprised by my first non-frozen White Castle experience. Sliders now $1.69 with cheese, we added extra onions free of charge. It's a different "burger" flavor than I'm used to, a delicate balance of simple flavors that together go a long way. They were juicy, cheesy, buttery, oniony, beefy, greasy, addictive little things. Maybe 4-5 bites each in size. Onions were cooked perfectly and cut just the right size. Bun was soft and a little bready, absorbing just the right amount of the buttery fillings. These sliders are good enough that condiments aren't required. I tried ketchup and ruined that one. Cook times aren't fast here, infact on the slow side. But the workers are friendly as can be. I'm glad this chain is expanding to new cities across the nation. read more

The tiny little "slider" size burger that is as moist as you could ever wish for is addictive indeed! It seems as though you could eat 20 of those burgers since you literally eat one in two bites! IKIK. I can get a better burger elsewhere but sometimes I just need a White Castle fix. I'm going to buck the trend here and give this place a 5 star rating for the nostalgia of me discovering its existence while watching "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle"and the iconic look and taste. Ahh, it is so much better to eat here in person. We stopped here recently for some White Castle burgers, and they were delicious. We also got some French fries with them and the drinks. The customer service I received from the drive-through attendant was the best service I've ever received at a fast food restaurant. Ah, a new White Castle close to home taking the place of the worst of 3 Carl's Jr. restaurants that were in the area. I did not know they had opened until I drove by this morning. Much to my surprise, I was able to get cheeseburger sliders at 9:00. That seemed as though it would work out well since there was no real line yet. Just 1 car in front of me. I was asked to wait a moment before placing my order. Then I waited behind that 1 car in front of me as they waited a few more minutes for their food. I can accept that. What I cannot accept is watching my food sitting on the counter with a worker's hand on my bag. I was basically ignored while three employees talked to each other about somebody wanting a transfer. Dammit, take my money and give me my food! Then, when I paid, I handed them a $20 for a $10+ meal. The lady jokingly said "thanks for the tip." I smiled and got my correct change but come on, that aint funny. White Castle is not the gold standard for burgers. This is an iconic place with an iconic taste. What I received today had that familiar flavor. The sliders could have been warmer. Maybe they were before they sat on the counter. I don't mind waiting if the food is still being cooked. But when it is ready and just not being given to me for who knows what reason, that is where I draw the line. read more

Look I grew up on these "Original Sliders". As a kid we would gather a relative's house on Saturday for dinner and card games. While us kids played and the adults played cards. Then around 8-9pm the came Who wants White Castle? Well within minutes there was a flurry of numbers. At times it would approach 75-100. Others it would be 100+. So when I learned this location was open, gave them some time to iron out the kinks. We went this past Friday. This is what we found. The dining room looked like an epic food fight had taken place. There was not one open table that was not covered in food and trash. Not to mention the seats and floor bellow. Trying to get something or someone to wipe down a table was impossible! Even asking at the counter got no action. Then we tried to order and person at the counter was struggling. I get it they are new but where was a trainer or manager to guide them. Because there was no line and they were not busy. We got the food and let me say "THIS IS NOT WHAT WC IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE". Over salted burgers to the point of un-edible. The sliders were poorly assembled like they were in a rush. The onions were almost raw but worse the cut was uneven with big pieces. The pickle missing. I know WC and this was an epic failure. Even the WC in South Chicago, East Saint Louis, outside Nashville, and Bloomington IN where I had great meals and the store was spotless was 100,000 times better and the familiar flavors and proper cook and seasoning was as I remember and expected it to be. Not really worth the cost, even for nostalgia. They're lucky the Harold & Kumar movie made them a fake icon. The burgers are tasteless, slimy, and lukewarm. The buns are soggy. The only plus is the onions. My partner and I compared it to school lunch meatloaf at best, surrounded by soggy bread. The service was fine, but we only went for the nostalgia and out of curiosity for how they're still in business. Judging by our experience, they won't be pretty soon. Two sliders alone was about $3, and the combos were upwards of $11-13. Ok, so I'm a former New Yorker and I'm biased by the nostalgia of eating at WC as a young man, and, the food is really the same, but the insane prices make visiting here just not worth it. On my only visit (about a year ago), I spent almost $40 for 10 sliders, 2 fries and a couple of drinks. The food was ok (burgers were the same as always), fries were a bit overdone, but that's just way too much to pay for that amount of food. For context, eating at WC in NYC was always a value option, even allowing for inflation the difference is just absurd. To add to it, the indifferent bored staff really made it a less than memorable experience. The point is, if you're gonna charge almost $2 for a WC burger, you gotta bring more than trying to trade on the franchise' history and a couldn't be bothered staff. read more
