So far, I had the super burger, which was phenomenal. I didn't expect it to be that good. And I had the southwest burger which was delicious and next time I think I'm gonna sub no lettuce add guacamole because there's some flavor in there that made me crave guac on the burger. The onion rings were good, reminded me of a Irish pub, tots were amazing as well Both milkshakes were delicious I had a strawberry even though I ordered an orange/50-50. Didn't even want to complain. I finally thought I'd give the new burger spot in Henderson a fair shake. Ruby's Shake Shop is a more casual take on the Ruby's Diner chain from SoCal. This location opened just outside of Green Valley Ranch just last year, and I decided to invite my friend over here instead of our usual late evening burger stop. I tried the Classic Burger ($9.99). It was pretty solid, with a decent thick patty, hefty bun, some lettuce and tomato, and a burger sauce. It wasn't that exciting compared to some of the other popular burger chains though, and it was giving lots of California vibes in the sense that there wasn't a lot of fattiness. I did get it with a combo (+$4.99) though. The onion rings were crispy and mostly were bite-through-able, and they went alright with the ranch. I do think a 1:2 or 1:3 ketchup:ranch mixture might be the play, but I didn't investigate thoroughly yet. I also tried my friend's fries, which were okay but not that memorable either. My rating was really not gonna be awesome except for my drink (also included in the aforementioned combo). It was my take on an Arnold Palmer, a roughly 1:1 mix of their unsweetened tea and their lemonade. I later found out that the tea is a passion fruit tea, which is why I was getting fruity/tropical vibes that aren't usually part of this tea. And the sweetness ended up so addictively ideal that I could hardly stop drinking the thing. I will be back to Ruby's when I really crave that Arnold Palmer, and hopefully I'll figure out what to do to find a better entree on their menu. Yummm! Glad we have more burger shops in district! Burger was made well! A bit greasy but what good burger is not! I inhaled this burger. It seems fresher than shake shack with real ingredients. Had a craving for burgers and finally had the opportunity to stop by our local Ruby's Shake Shop. I was inclined to make this review because the service was exceptional. I'd even go as far as stating that they provided the best customer service we've had at any place for this entire month. I ordered the Super Burger with a side of side shop sauce and homemade ranch, onion rings, and a mint chocolate shake. I preferred my meal over my husband's. However, both burgers were good, but the parmesan sourdough paired with swiss cheese and avocado just put it over the top and I just can't imagine anything with the basic Ruby bun will top it. If you order fries, add cajun seasoning for that extra flavor. Don't skip out on the housemade ranch, as a self-proclaimed ranch connoisseur, it's perfection. My shake was filled with mint flavoring and chocolate chips and easily fulfilled the craving that brought me there that evening. Before the Desert Dogs game, I decided to go to Ruby's and try their burgers. After all, our CM rates them highly, so needed to trust her. I was greeted by the nicest fast food worker I have met. She knew I was a first time visitor because I didn't walk up the ordering line area but went around the tables to get to the counter. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. She asked me if I wanted a meal. I said I wanted a shake so I couldn't do the meal. She told me I could. I just had to upgrade the meal with a shake instead of a soda. After ordering, I went to a four top at the window. They weren't busy. In a short time, one of the other workers, another pleasant employee, brought my shake. There was a spoon in it for eating the large parts. She also brought a boba style straw to be able to suck up the cookie pieces. What a treat! I haven't had a shake in a long time. In a short amount of time, the woman came back and she had my bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was time to dig in. The burger was very juicy and I had sticky wet fingers from the burger to clean up. I was staying at the Green Valley Resort and didnt want to spend a lot of money on food there, so I went here. Its a 3 min drive or a 15 min walk so we drove. The place is bright and clean. The lady at the register was delightful. We placed our order and she brought us our meal. We ordered the Guacamole Burger, a plain classic burger, and the Grilled Cheese with onion rings. The Grilled cheese has Muenster cheese and it was delicious. It came with Ranch which made it even better. My kid liked his burger and my husband liked his, although he wanted more guacamole. What a nice surprise to see this hidden restaurant in the new section of The District at Green Valley Ranch parking lot. The name itself caught my eye. I wasn't too hungry and it was chilly out so opted to grab something to go at the counter. Everything is self serve style. The place was presented so nicely! Very clean, inviting, friendly team members, a clear and concise menu board and smells really good in here. Love the giant size wall art that was a nice touch. Wow !!! Ruby's Shake Shop is by far the best burger place! From sunny California to the Nevada desert, it was our first time trying it and we loved it!!! This place is amazing! The restaurant was very clean with good vibes , beautiful vibrant colors. The staff is awesome ,very friendly and courteous from the moment you walk in the door, we were greeted with a smile and welcoming hospitality. The food was OMG delicious! If there was a Ruby's Shake Shop in North Las Vegas, I'd probably be there way too often. This Henderson location is absolutely worth the drive though. My hickory burger was messy, but in the best possible way. The kind of messy that tells you it's packed with flavor and made with love. Good thing I'm not a classy woman... or a woman at all. We frequent Green Valley Ranch and have driven past Ruby's a few times... and finally decided to try it. Here are the wins: * Quiet area, ample parking * Coke freestyle machine * Friendly staff * Shop Sauce & Chicken Tenders The shop is quiet, but the staff is friendly. We tried a few different items, but really enjoyed the chicken tenders. They remind me of a more flavorful, fresh Cane's chicken tender. Paired with the shop sauce... it's a great meal. We also opted for cajun seasoning on the fries and tots, which is worth the up charge. The fries and tots were not at all greasy, instead they were super crunchy and delicious. Now for the "not so great" parts: * Hickory Burger * Cheese Toast The hickory burger was a bit disappointing. It was clearly a frozen patty, and tasted pretty bland. Similarly the cheese toast was underwhelming. It was brought out separately (which was appreciated), because the initial toast was burnt in the back. The cheese is nicely melted on the top, but the bottom was very soggy and not toasted. Despite the negatives, Ruby's genuinely was a nice and reasonably priced spot. The most nostalgic food for me! Growing up, there was a Ruby's at the mall close to my high school, so my friends and I would always meet up there on the weekends. When I saw there was a new Ruby's Shake Shop opening, my best friend and I immediately made plans to check it out. I ordered their Super Burger, which is a burger with avocado and swiss on their delicious parmesan sourdough and their fries with ranch. Everything was immaculate and the service was incredible. Ruby's moved in up the street from my house, and has quickly become a favorite of mine. I've tried quite a bit of the menu so far, I've had the hickory burger, the street dog, their chili cheese fries, and some of the shakes. Out of everything that I've tried, my favorites are definitely the shakes, cookies and cream always takes the cake lol, but the salted caramel is a close second. The burgers have good flavor, and the large fry is a good portion. Make sure you get the shop sauce. The space is smaller, but it doesn't seem to be an issue yet, once the word gets out that they're open and delicious, it may get packed in there. read more

Picked up the cheeseburger combo with onion rings and a mint chip shake. My husband loved the cheeseburger and onion rings and said he would come back. The mint chip shake had just way too many chocolate chips in it that you couldn't even taste the mint so wouldn't try that again but will be back for the burgers. The service here was definitely the highlight. The girls up front were all very friendly and helpful. The seating is definitely limited inside, we went during a Friday at about 6pm and it was definitely full. I found it interesting they have no kids menu, yet everyone inside had kids. I got the adult grilled cheese and I did not love the toasted Parmesan on the outside. I wonder if it's something you can opt off? The tater tots were good but the French fries were better! The bacon cheeseburger was a classic and very tasty. The milkshakes were also great, though the cookie dough shake ended up having chunks of cookie dough at the bottom so more like a concrete or needed a spoon. This place is a great new addicting to GVR / The District. It has a old school diner type of vibe but it is counter service which was great since we got our order to-go. I tried the burger with bbq, bacon and onion rings which was great. All I can say is it tasted like real food unlike some other fast casual burger places. The fries were also good, thick-cut with a nice crisp. Don't sleep on the shakes either, we got the Oreo and it did not disappoint. Came here to eat tonight with my husband. My burger had a weird fish smell and I spit it out almost immediately and threw it away, I have crohns and I'm really sensitive to food that smells weird so I just don't risk it. Now that we are home my husband has food poisoning. $40 for 2 burgers so one of us can't eat and the other is sick. read more

The service is good, they stopped by several times to ask if we needed something, delivered our order, and they even took away our empty items! The hickory burger was tasty and not too tall to eat with onion rings and bacon within. The fries and onion rings were cooked well and had fresh ground pepper on them. It's a different style. The fried chicken burger had far too much pepper on it so my spouse couldn't finish half of it or the fries due to too much fresh pepper on everything. Ended up throwing the fries out. First time here. Staff was super friendly as we tried to decide on what to order. I ordered the southern fried chicken sandwich and hubby got the chicken tenders combo. We got a mix of onion rings, tater tots and fries between the two of us to try out so we'd know what to order next time. I was pretty impressed with everything we tried. The portion size was large so it made it a good value and I had enough to take home for leftovers/second meal. The house sauce was pretty tasty. I had it on my sandwich and used it to dip the onion rings. The tenders combo was essentially the chicken sandwich without the bun because you get a side of slaw with it. I thought all the fried sides were good but we will prob do a split of fries and onion rings next time as hubby isn't a tater tot fan. I'm normally not a tater tot fan either but these were extra crispy and I thought were really good. We just did the fountain drinks which you can grab on your own. They had lemonade and presumably sweet tea in addition to the soda fountain. "Presumably" because there was no sign for the lemonade or tea so it was unclear if it was unsweetened or sweet or some other flavor. Some signage would be nice. I know they opened recently so maybe haven't set that up yet. They did have shakes of course which all sounded very good but I passed for the first round since it was already highly caloric. While searching for places with chili dogs I came across Ruby's - a retro style joint serving shakes, burgers, dogs and more. So I came in after church for an early lunch. My order was simple. A chili cheese dog (you know, for the craving) and a double chocolate chip shake. I would be remiss if I skipped the shake. I mean, "shake" is part of the restaurant name. Everything is made fresh. Shakes up front and food in the back. I watched my shake being made. A little bit if milk. A scoop of something chocolately. Another scoop of somethi g else chocolatey. Some vanilla soft serve. All mixed by hand. Then topped with whipped cream, chocolate chips and a cherry. A very generous shake. But I am such a chocoholic I wished there was even more chocolate. Syrup specifically. There were plenty of chips. If they gave me a cup of chocolate sauce with a splash of milk and a spoon of soft serve, that might be my ideal shake. Haha. The chili dog is what I came for but I received the shake first then drove home. I had to wait to dig in for a little while. But when I got home I was again impressed with the generosity. A plump all beef dog with chili, cheese and lots of diced onions. It looks a bit open faced so I almost went at it with a fork and knife (provided). Alas I was able to pick it up. Not without making a mess but who doesn't love scooping up those last few bits of fallen chili? This was a good lunch today and hit the spot. Or two or three. Good bye diet, am I right? I went to Ruby's Shake Shop this morning with my daughter after her first day of preschool, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was! The food tasted extremely fresh and was cooked perfectly. I got the bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders, and a cookie dough shake (love that you can upgrade your drink to a shake!). The bacon cheeseburger was basically the ideal burger--super fresh and flavorful. The chicken tenders had a subtle black pepper kick that made them extra tasty. And the Shop Sauce? Whatever is in it is amazing! Definitely a must-try. On top of that, the customer service was exceptional. Multiple staff members stopped by to clear trash and make sure I had what I needed, which was especially helpful since I was there with my toddler. They were attentive, patient, and really sweet with her, which made the experience even better. It was also super clean in there and enjoyable sit down and eat. I also just learned this is connected to Ruby's Diner from Newport on Balboa Island, a family favorite of ours--so it was fun to see that connection. I NEED to start this by saying that I'm a born and raised NYer where old school diners made cheese burgers that are always made on a 24 hour grill, served on sesame seed bun, and you even had a choice of Disco fries (mozzarella on steak fries with brown gravy). I've been eyeing this place on UberEats for about 2 weeks, and after reading every review, I finally order from here last night. I tried the Classic Combo but my way: grilled onions, lettuce, pickles, American cheese, and with whatever sauce originally is made with it. Tater-Tots Iced Tea 1 Chicken Tender Here we go--- the portion of the comb is huge bc the burger was bigger than any you'll get anywhere else! The pictures you'll see in the reviews DO NOT do the burgers justice whatsoever, and it bc of the angle that they're taken from. As soon as I opened the box, I just couldn't wait to taste it BUT, the next time that I order from here or actually go and visit, I will definitely take a proper picture. TATER TOTS, which was something I never normally order, but did bc of one reviewer who said that they tasted "REAL POTATOES"..... I agree!
