Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, with a late arrival at the nearby airport, there weren't many food options that were open after midnight. Having never been to a White Castle, the wife and I decided to check this place out as there aren't any in reasonable distance back home. As an Elite Yelper, of course I checked the ratings of the place and we were skeptical not knowing the area but went there anyway to give the place the benefit of the doubt and if wasn't any good there was a McDonald's not too far away that was open until midnight. Upon arrival, we noticed how spotless the parking lot was of any trash. There weren't any other cars and we jumped at the opportunity to dine in, having the whole place to ourselves. When we went to the register, we had a hard time deciding what to order and the total opposite of some of these reviews took place: we were met with patience, kindness, professionalism and a warm welcome. We told the staff that we had never been to a White Castle and they gave us their recommendations. They told us what items were the most popular and provided us with the best options and value for our purchase. We even struck up a conversation as two employees had ties to the Bay Area, back home, noticing I was wearing an OAKLAND A's long sleeve. The wife and I ended up ordering the best value meal available, which I unfortunately forgot the name of but it was incredibly reasonable, filling, and full of flavor. We also ordered one of each Dessert on a Stick option as the price was unbeatable, being under $2 each item. What had been a late night pit stop for a much needed meal, turned into an hour of refreshing peace, an appreciated welcoming from a different yet very relatable community, set in an atmosphere of an under-appreciated fast food location. This was a great first stop on a week long trip and I hope more places are as great to out of state guests as this one. 5/5 to not too long after midnight read more

It's always fun to come stop at White Castle when you spot one. Unfortunately this one had some issues. The food was not very good. The sliders tasted squishy and had way too much onion. The staff was nice and helpful. I think everything was being microwaved which was probably the issue. The soda was a bit flat. The tables were a bit sticky. I'm from Washington state and we don't have a White Castle. I've been hearing this classic so when I found out there are lots of WC locations in TN, I just needed to check it out! We got the classic, cheese, bacon and cheese, and chicken. My faves were the cheese and bacon and cheese but they're all good. I'm not surprised but the service was a bit slow and one of the cashiers was a bit rude and mean. But most fast food joints have a worker like that, or most companies rather, so it's not a big deal. So I'm at this store on Nolensville Rd . One of the workers comes out and picks up some trash off the floor with gloves already on . Goes to the register to take orders and also goes back to help with the orders . That's unsanitary and then has an attitude because I as if a particular item was a combo meals . I felt like having White Castle for dinner. On my way back to the hotel from Opry Mills, I stopped by this location to grab some grub. My first experience was getting their slider burgers from the frozen section of a grocery store in Rochester, MN. I loved them then and I still do! I don't visit White Castle often. This visit was my second time ever. This White Castle has a drive-thru. There were a few cars ahead of me. I didn't mind the wait, as it gave me time to look at the menu and offerings. I needed to figure out what I wanted to order. I saw the 1921 slider. It was the slider that started this franchise. You got two of them in the combo. Perfect! The combo also came with a small drink and a small order for fries. For my drink, I ordered a diet Barq's strawberry cream soda. You do need to pack some patience waiting. I didn't mind it. I found looking at the menu killed some time. I didn't realize that you can also get breakfast here. You can also get a case of 30 cheese sliders, which seemed like perfect finger food for an informal gathering or me binge-watching all seasons of Somebody Feed Phil (and Mary!). I got a woman at the window. She was great. I paid with a credit card. All was great. I got my drink first, followed by my bag of food. I thanked her and headed back to the hotel. I took a sip of my diet strawberry cream soda as I drove. It was heavenly! I wish that it was offered everywhere. I loved it so much. I had dinner in my hotel room. White Castle has crinkle-cut fries. I enjoyed mine. I wish that I got more of them. I felt that the place was rationing potatoes because the paper container wasn't filled with fries as much as I would have hoped. The 1921 sliders were so good. Each one had a beef patty, topped with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, roma tomato, lettuce and pickles. The patty was nicely seasoned and seared perfectly. The caramelized onions are what makes the sliders yummy to me. I liked that this slider was like a mini burger with some veggies. I loved it. It felt fancy compared to getting a cheese slider. I had a great experience. The food and drink were delicious. Staff were competent and nice. I miss White Castle. My closest one is in Detroit. Sitting in a drive thru for 60+ minutes before you can order when there is only around 7 cars in front of you is crazy. Literally got out of my car and walked inside to find a frenzy of ppl ordering and waiting while the drive thru was being ignored. The absolute worst service we've ever experienced, even at a fast-food joint. It almost felt like a joke and everyone around was obviously also confused. We arrived and came inside to order, but we (along with three other parties in front of us) were ignored for over 10 minutes. There were 4-5 employees working and they seemed to be enjoying themselves chatting and laughing/using the restroom without acknowledging the line that was forming. We weren't in a rush, so we hit the bullet since there aren't any other close-by White Castle locations and it was all the birthday guy wanted. The drive through was so confusing they had cones along the side of the building so you can't get close to and they don't have a window it's an entire sliding door. The food was so bad guys. We tried to stop in to get food while on the way to the airport. Unfortunately, the dining room was closed. After sitting in the drive thru for a good ten minutes, they finally answered the guy in front of us. We tried to order, and the lady working was so rude and apparently didn't understand our menu. White Castle is a part of my childhood. My mother actually told me that her biggest craving when she was pregnant with me were these iconic sliders. My grandfather took me as a child and as I grew older, White Castle ended many an evening out. So a lot of my stopping at White Castle whenever I am in Nashville has to do with nostalgia as well as taste. But honestly, White Castles are simply a great bit of fast food. Small enough to be a snack or buy them by the sack, White Castles are a great example of fast food. I will say in my opinion this is the best White Castle here in Nashville. The location is clean, the staff is friendly, they even have some White Castle merchandise for sale. Just be warned if you are from the northeast, White Castle adds ketchup to their burgers, they di not down here, so make sure you ask. read more

It's very interesting that they had a lock on the bathroom. So I'm not really sure what's going on in that part of town but if you go be sure to ask for the code for your head to the restroom. How do I begin? I drove 3 hours to bring my 18 yr old son to White Castle for his very first time! This COULD have been a great first time experience. But it wasn't. We were inside the lobby for 15 min maybe longer before ANY one of the 6-7 workers behind the counter ever acknowledged us. Took almost 30 minutes to get our food as dine-in, not drive thru. After waiting all that time, all of the burgers were cold, they were not even warm. The fries were hot but literally everything else including the onion rings was room temperature. When we tried to get beverages the self-serve beverage machine which is supposed to contain 73 different options, contained exactly 2 options: Coke or root beer. First, I love White Castle. No matter where I'm at, if I see one, I'm stopping to order. However, it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that I will ever return to this one. The "man" (I didn't ask for a pronoun) who took my order at the drive-thru was extremely rude and seemingly uninterested as I placed my order. Maybe they were having a bad day, maybe everyday is a bad day for them. Who knows? What I do know is based on this interaction - they should not work in a public facing role. I asked for extra pickles on my cheeseburgers and was told they come with pickles. Well, obviously- which is why I asked for EXTRA pickles. When I received my order, the cheeseburgers didn't have any ketchup or the extra pickles that I requested. Not to mention, I didn't get the drink I ordered. Love me some WC! A not so hidden but guilty pleasure of mine. It was around 11 when I went and they said there would be a wait for burgers. They said 15-30 mins and it was only 10. Better then I could ask for. It was clear someone came thru and order a case because it was only 3 cars in line and after we got thru there was no one. It's White Castle, you can only expect but so much. This one the lady at the window was nice, the food was hot and was put in the bags well so it wasn't all coming out of the burger holders. I'd say this was one of the better WC's I've been to from ones in Detroit to Columbus. omg I have never felt like such an inconvenience in an establishment. my 17 year old daughter who works for McDonald's was like your job is not that hard no reason to be so rude. stood at the counter with out a single word to any of the paying guest .... not a I'll be with you or nothing. the head trainer or what ever complained so loud all we heard was how miserable he was to be at work. Yeah, I'm not a fan. I'm pretty sure that every other fast food restaurant I've been to tastes better than White Castle. They don't have White Castle's in South Florida, so my group decided to check it out while we were in Tennessee. I ordered a combo, which brings a 4-pack of the burgers and a side of fries. My boyfriend order a combo, which brings two chicken ring sandwiches. (Why even a chicken ring?! What is that about?) We also ordered a side of mozzarella sticks. Here are my issues: 1) Bread to meat ratio is way off. The meat is so thin, you hardly taste it with all the bread in your mouth. I took off half of the top bun just to be able to experience more than bread. 2) No ketchup. Why? Since I asked for mine with cheese, it was difficult to even lift up the bread and add ketchup to mine. 3) Wasteful packaging. I don't consider myself like a super environmentalist or anything, but when we had all finished our meals I was astonished by the amount of cardboard on our table. 4) French fries taste like cheap frozen. Pretty self-explanatory. 5) Chicken rings (again, wtf?) are thin and rubbery. Again, self-explanatory. Additionally, this particular restaurant lacked good customer service. All three employees looked miserable and annoyed. The floor in front of the soda machine and to our table was sticky. The tables were dirty, which was odd considering there was no one eating when we arrived and only one other group came in while we were dining.
