Every customer that was spoken to within the 45 minutes it took to get our food this evening received positively horrendous service. All staff members were unbearably rude and moved as slowly as possible. We were told that one of the items we pre-paid for on our mobile order was out of stock and the manger refused to do a price adjustment. Over half of the options on the self-service pop machine were out of stock. Once we eventually received our food, they gave us the wrong order and told us that they gave us what we ordered. Once pressed, they picked through our bags and confirmed that they gave us the wrong food. I would not recommend that anyone frequent this establishment. This location needs an overhaul and massive corporate intervention. read more

Got the wrong order by a lot... ordered a craze case and received three soggy sliders and an order of half cooked fries that reeked of onion rings and dirty fry oil delivered. Well I gave these guys a couple years between reviews and they've gotten no better at all. There must be no standards at all at hiring employees at this White Castle. It's just ridiculous they can't get just the basic items right on a hamburger. I ordered a 20 pack with everything on them with extra onion. Got none with mustard some of the hamburgers had pickles, most didn't, most barely had any onion at all on any of them. If I have to drive 20 miles out of my way to go to a different White Castle from now on I will because these guys are the worst. How is this store still open? read more

You probably ask how does a White Castle get a four star rating? It's not fine dining. True it is not fine dining at all. It is the fast food I crave a couple times a year and yesterday was one of those days. I gave into my temptation and enjoyed four original White Castles and fries. The food was just the way it should be and I throughly enjoyed it. The service was very slow, but it was not the fault of the two very efficient men working. White Castle should have had a least three people working to keep up the the high volumes. These two men were taking orders, cooking and processing the orders. Not much to say about the ambiance as it is what you would expect at White Castle. Visiting home from Nevada, I bought a large order totalling $43.00. The food that had been prepared in the fryer had a horrible after taste as the grease wasn't properly cleaned or was very old. I had planned on spending another large amount of money at that location so I could ship some back to Nevada. I'm glad I changed my mind . Placed an order online for pickup inside. I walked inside to get my order and was told they are drive-thru only. Pulled in the drive-thru and waited 20 minutes to get to the speaker. Gave them my name for the mobile order and pulled up to the windows (another 15-20 minutes later). I was told they did not have the new Barg's Red Creme Soda Zero, so we got something else. I ordered the drinks with no ice -- they had ice. I ordered 10 cheese sliders - 5 of them with no onion - they all had onion. They forgot the fries for my order, so I had to go inside anyway -- I wasn't waiting in that line again. The manager was very short with me and said they do not see the special instructions that are put in the app -- then why does the app ask for them? The manager refused to remake the 5 sliders with no onions. At least I did get the fries they shorted me. Also, they did have the Barg's Red Creme Soda available - it worked fine in the Freestyle machine in the dining area. The food was old and cold and the service was atrocious. read more

I stopped into this location recently while conducting business in Pontiac. The drive thru line had only two cars in front of me. Took me about 20+ minutes to pick up my small lunch order. It was 11:45am. The hamburgers were not like I'm used to getting from other locations. The buns were not steamed and the hamburger meat was dry on a couple of them. read more

No wonder they don't have a single 5 star rating, you have to sit in the drive thru for 20+ minutes. It's never faster than that. One time my dad and I set a timer on our phone because we knew you have to sit forever and wait for your food. It got up to 45 minutes. It was awful. I was willing to give it pass one time but I had time today. The restaurant picks and chooses when it wants to fulfill orders at night even though it's a 24 hour establishment. I arrive 4am before work 3 nights of the week and it's a crap shoot if I'll be served or they will pass the buck and say we are only doing door dash / uber eats orders through the intercom. Which is a lie because the day before or after at the same time I've been served. Food is fine when I get it but the laziness must be stopped. I wish it wasn't this way but it's so disheartening. The drive through takes forever but it's definitely still open! Very popular as it's the only place in the area open late.

They are slow here, but the food is delish! For their slowness they gave me a free drink. Can't go wrong with that! I got the 30 pack crave case. It was well worth the wait. Folks in my office thought I was a hero for the day! The cheese burgers melted (slide) in our mouths! Yum! I grabbed some fries too. These cost more than one burger here. The fries are like the old Wendy's fries. Yummy-ness. The grand total was $32. Which isn't so bad. The fries cost the most. This place is out of business. Tried to go there on 11-8-2021 around 4:00 p.m. and the restaurant was closed and the drive-thru was blocked off. The lines were always long and it took sometimes 30-40 minutes to get waited on and receive your food, so I'm sure there will be lots of disappointed customers and not so disappointed customers. I enjoyed the sliders and depending on the day didn't mind waiting. I really like White Castle sliders (double cheese sliders) but bought some onion chips there and they had a chemical taste. I don't know what that was all about. I didn't notice the taste until after I had eaten a few of them. I threw them away and never purchased them again. I guess if I want White Castle sliders now I'll have to go to the nearest restaurant or buy them frozen at a nearby grocery store. read more

Waited an estimated 20 minutes for my "fast food." The speed of service for the drive thru at this location is just completely abysmal. It's not as if White Castle has a particularly expansive menu, so I find it a little inexcusable. I entered the line with only two cars ahead of me, so this was frustrating from start to finish. Outside of the service, the food was mediocre. I've had much better White Castle than this, but it was nothing terrible. It's a shame there aren't more locations peppered throughout the metro area. I'm rating the location, not necessarily the food. The ladies behind the counter are friendly. They stay busy working, but the nature of white castle always seems to be slow service. With that said, the food always comes out fresh and hot as it should be. They offered me a free soda pop for the long wait. Don't expect fast service, just good White Castle! read more

I am the saddest I have ever been in my life. All I wanted was mozzarella sticks and chicken rings. My friends and I all pulled our money together and placed a big doordash order. I moved away from Michigan to DC a few years ago and like most people, I crave these damn greasy little burgers all the time. Whenever I come back to MI, myself and my friends and family from DC always hit White Castle at least once. Since all of the Waterford locations have closed, the MLK location in Pontiac is where we go now. A much more sketchy neighborhood than my previous White Castles, but we have never had any problems over here. My favorite order is a sack of cheeseburgers and an order of clam strips. The clam strips are actually pretty darn good for a fast food place. Yes, chances are your digestive system may disagree with your choice of food the next day, but since I only stop here a couple of times a year, I'm always willing to take my chances. White Castles are open 24 hours, which I love since I'm a late night person. read more
