Have I really never rated this location? I have been literally coming here since it opened it's doors. When I first tried their delicious smash burger and creamy custard I was hooked. I love the crispy edges of the burger, it is always so fresh and delicious. I love their fries, they are crispy and delicious. I cannot come here without getting those cheese curds and maybe a side of ranch. I never know if I like the white or the orange ones better. My favorite sundae hands down is always the cashew caramel, they put so many toppings in it, it is fabulous every time. Last time we came, a few weeks ago, I got their flavor of the day, chocolate with chocolate cake, so amazing add cookie dough and so did my child. We also order so many other things. I love their chicken sandwiches, heavily underrated. Their tenders are not bad. I love the fish and chips so much. My other child just got the pork chop sando, this place is really like a sit down restaurant in disguise of fast food. I could see them having a sit down version of this place somewhere. I always know someone working here, since I am always in the area, and we always come here before seeing a show, it is a tradition. We like the vibe, the service, and the ambiance. They have a similar taste to Shake Shack, but have so much more on their menu. read more

My first time trying this and it's delicious! I used the drive through which was super convenient. The staff were very courteous. You order at the window and pull over while your order is fresh cooked. It was quick and a staff member brought the order to my car. I got the famous butter burger - a double with cheese. The burger was generous in size and the bun was fresh. I also got a vanilla custard shake - it was so thick they served it with a spoon and a straw. I will definitely be back! read more

I usually like this location. The service was very quick and over the top friendly. I got the promoted pretzel garlic burger. I wished I had just stayed with an original butter burger but it was ok for something different. One issue I did have was at 1pm I know they were busy but the tables were a little dirty. Great alternative to standard fast food.everything was hot & fresh. Sourdough melt was outstanding! Cheese curds were fresh with the perfect amount of crispness. Burger was just ok IMO but my husband like it. Fries were cooked to perfection and their Culver's root beer was is awesome, not too sweet with a hint of vanilla. I have eaten at this Culver's before many times. I always order the Chicken Bacon Blue salad. This time the lettuce tasted old. Brown on the edges, made up of mostly old lettuce with a ton of red cabbage and carrots. The chicken was sparse and haphazardly cut. Very disappointing. read more

I like culvers for the most part. The food is usually goot and service is too, however I usually eat at the one in Waterford on huron (m59). Last week i went into the one on Brown road in Auburn hills for lunch. It was about 2:30 so the lunch rush was over and the place was almost empty. I ordered my food and went to sit down and wait. One small problem, not one single table was clean. Every table had rings from drinks still wet on it, crumbs from the food, and occasional spills of mustard and ketchup. Well I had to go grab some napkins and wipe my own table. then I sat and waited and waited and waited. Seems like they took forever to prepare my food (remember the place was almost empty). Then when it finally got to me it was barely warm. I wonder how long it had been sittin before someone got off their phone and decided to deliver it. Personally I will highly recommend Culvers, just not this location. I will go back once more in a couple of weeks to see if it has improved any. If it is better I will repost and let everyone know. I haven't been to Culver's in years because I had a bad experience. However, I went today for lunch with my daughter and my dad and it was great! The place appeared very clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was wonderful! We even witnessed the owner carry out an order to a vehicle. I cannot say that I've had all the wonderful items in Culver's menu but the ones I've had are exceptional. Whether it's the double patty butter cheese burger ( close to the iconic In & Out burger IMO) or the fish fillet sandwich, or the cod fish dinner, or the industries best chicken tenders, Culver's serves top notch quality food. The service is always great and the people working here seem to make an effort to make you feel welcome. My only recommendation is if you order the cod fish value basket, you only get one scrumptious fillet but you can add another for an up-charge. read more

I love CULVERS fried chicken but I was disappointed to hear that they discontinued selling them ... Since when :-( And more disappointed when this location served flat, dry and charred burger patties. There is no Gulden's spicy brown mustard available. You need to go back in line and ask the cashiers for condiments. It was a foggy night to drive all the way to this location, and end up with our dinner meal turned out baaaad! Sat for 20 minutes before getting our food, and when we asked for a refund they refused to give it to us, and said "then give me back my food" and also tried to say we were sitting there for 12 minutes when it was 20 minutes. Ok, at Culver's for lunch, I love their butter burgers. Going for the double cheese burger with bacon in a combo with fries and a drink, $9. Take a number get your cup get your drink and have a seat. Order comes right out, and they got it right, they always seem to get it right. The butter burger is smashed and seared just right, the fresh toppings lettuce, tomato, onion, two slices of melted cheese, and don't forget the bacon, with the butter bun, this is some tasty stuff, Very good. Great service, quality product and decent price. This location was about 150-200 yards from my hotel. It was fast, convenient and the perfect treat after a long day of training. The young lady at the register was attentive, efficient and knowledgeable. I asked for her suggestion of salted caramel concrete mix-in (cookie dough, Reese's cups or brownie). She suggested the cookie dough and explained that the brownie hardens a bit with the ice cream being so cold. Not that the flavor wasn't good, but she preferred a chewier mix-in. This was my first time at Culver's. I have been binge watching some amateur food reviews on youtube and culver's came up and out of my curiosity I checked if we had Culver's in Michigan. Lo and behold we have a couple, one will open up in Auburn Hills but until then this was the closest to me. My husband and I decided it was time for some burgers, fries, some sugary drinks and oh cheese curds because they have some? We decided to do drive through because we had some shopping to do anyway, but from the looks of it the inside is spacious and nice. I got the double deluxe culver's combo which is a plain two butter beef patties with cheddar cheese. Their fries are crinkle cut and their fried cheese curds are different but not something I would get again. They asked if we wanted a side of ranch sauce and I love me some ranch lol. Their buns are buttered and toasted, i love buns that stay together and aren't dry to the touch. Their patties taste fresh and packed in to patty shapes on the grill if that makes sense, they have the crisp charred edges. Really good burgers, my husband enjoyed his too which was topped with bacon, onions and mushrooms. The fries are pretty good but plain which I don't mind. We love Culvers in Lake Orion. The owner shows his community pride with special events on a weekly basis, like Car Shows and Kid's night. Every Wednesday is Kid's night. The kid's meal prices are lowered, there is a raffle for the kiddos, a clown making balloon animals, and a face painter. This was my first and last time going to Culver's. I didn't realize that everyone going through the drive through has to take a number and wait in a disorganized jumhle of cars, ridiculous! I got my order, but had to wait for others to get theirs as I was blocked in. A single cheeseburger cost $4.35, also ridiculous. The meat had absolutely no taste and desperately need salt and pepper. It also had gristle in every bite. It was called a butter burger, but I never tasted any butter. Never again! read more

This location of culvers has always been exceptional. The service is fast and friendly. I always get the order right. The food is hot and fresh as I've grown to expect from culvers. Love the restaurant chain in general, and the food. But for some reason every time I visit this particular location, the staff is not very friendly, sometimes pretty rude/clueless, and just puts me off from the whole "Culver's" experience. From times where they just chat behind the counter until you say "excuse me, I'm ready to order" or waiting for your food at the table and they come and literally throw the tray down so hard that the food flies off the tray and onto the table. We have been going to this Culvers for years. The food is delicious! The servers are always helpful and courteous. The owner, Joe Zimmer is super friendly and accommodating. I can't say enough good things about him! He makes this Culvers a fun place to be. There is always something going on, like his enormous classic car shows every Tuesday night during the summer. I am a 2nd grade teacher, and I took my students to this Culvers for lunch this past May. I called ahead to let them know we were coming. When we arrived (around noon), Sam was waiting for us. She took all of our orders efficiently. She was so organized. I came in with 15 - 2nd graders and 3 parents. Our orders were taken and brought out to us in a very reasonable amount of time. She then offered to come to our tables to take everyone's custard orders. That was so helpful, rather than have everyone go back to the counter. Sam brought out everyone's custard and even remembered who ordered what! I was amazed! I want to give a special shout out to her! Mr. Zimmer is doing a super job running this restaurant! This was my first time at a Culvers, we stopped here on the way back to Rochester from Grand Haven. WOW - the hamburgers were really good. (guessing it has a lot of butter due to the "butterburgers" name, but still) Onion rings were also crispy and delicious. I ordered a small custard too (flavor of the day, Oreo Overload) and that was great too. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 from me only because a) the custard was brought out first and thus was melted by the time I finished the burger and onion rings (they told me they would bring it with the meal and I said that was fine, but this was like 5 minutes prior to that). And b) it took like 10 minutes to get the food. I will try out the Madison Heights location closer to me next time. Food was great, though! read more

The place was very crowded but they were quick and efficient and moved the crowds right through....
