This place is a total vibe via their motif and atmosphere; it was a fun stop, if for nothing more than to peruse the tchotchkes adorning the walls, counter and table space. It's historic and rustic decor matched the historic downtown location and their flightboard was also customized as it was made out of a barrel stave! The beers were true to style, and the beertender made sitting at the bar entertaining before moving outside to their cute patio space to enjoy the gorgeous autumnal weather! Beers had: Here Hefe Hefe Hefeweizen 4.5% Uncharted Voyage 2 Hazy NEIPA 6.4% S'more Code American Porter 6.8% Work'in Mans Breakfast Coffee Stout 12%

Great beer options. They have a full cooler of options in addition to their own selections. Friendly staff and lots of good spacing. Option to sit outside is a bonus.

Even though I don't drink beer and there are no other options I gave the joint 5 stars. The ambiance is very cool and they have a few old games like Popeye! The outside seating is amazing! The hubby likes beer so wanted to stop in and give it a whirl. His first beer, Two Dope Hops in a Cadillac, was a hazy IPA with a bitter citrus front that tappers off. The second IPA on the menu, 30 Day Tag Vol 9, is strong! Very hoppy, but compared to the other more crisp and less bitter. Fun place!

Stopped by after wanting to relax after a long hike at Pilot Mountain and were very impressed with the selection, price, and atmosphere! We each had the flight (four generous pours for $8) and tried a few different things, but there wasn't really anything that we flat out didn't like. Instead, every beer we tried (even the dark ones which im usually not a fan of) was refreshing and very flavorful. The star if the bunch though was a hot honey beer that had quite a surprising kick but was still absolutely delicious. I could have enjoyed it all day! Service was great, as the guys behind the bar answered all our questions and helped us make our selections. We were also quickly offered a bowl of water for our dog which was a nice touch as well! I don't head this way too often, but I will definitely come out of my way to try White Elephant again!

I stopped by one evening for he first time and was pretty impressed. They have a large selection of beers and really good ones at that. They do not have wine like the competitors across the street, but that's ok by me. The bartenders are nice. The atmosphere is comfortable. There is also an outside area for nice days or evenings.

New Brew spot in Mount Airy

So mount airy finally got it a "local beer" brewery. I grew up in this town and knew they have always missed the local touch for the younger and more adventurous type when it comes to beverage selection... To try and pull people from the macro brews such as Budweiser, miller and coors ; well that time has come, and this new local spot is going to be a great hit. I went for the first time last night and it was awesome. The setting is rustic, yet modern and the beer selection is great. They have 8 taps at the bar, and according the owner they are going to try and rotate local brews. In addition, if you need some local brews to take home you can purchase local beers by the single bottle, can; or put them together in 6 packs! I can't wait to eventually taste the home made brew that is pumped out of this location starting hopefully by the end of this year, or beginning of next! Can't wait to go back tonight to try a couple more of their taps!!!

Please do not patronize Creek Bottom Brewing…read more It is not a safe place for women or children. Creek Bottom is at the center of a local controversy involving a young man named William Ayers. In 2023, Ayers was convicted of child rape (carnal knowledge of a child) and abduction. He was released from prison last year, back into our community. Upon his release, Creek Bottom Brewing began employing him to work in the brewery--as a known convicted child sex offender. In February, while working for Creek Bottom, Ayers was arrested AGAIN for ANOTHER sexual assault, strangulation, brandishing a firearm, and abduction by force. It got a little media attention as the "Valentine's Day Rape." Recently added to his list of charges is possession of child porn and sexual abuse of an animal. Where does Creek Bottom come in, beyond offering a job to a known child sex offender? William Ayers' parents are the owners of Creek Bottom. They made the choice to employ him at their brewery, along with their many young women employees and the families who visit the restaurant. Our dollars spent at the brewery unwittingly went directly towards Ayers' paycheck. Many community members feel that Creek Bottom's owners have made horrendous decisions that endanger our community by choosing to have their son employed at the brewery, and by supporting/enabling him in other ways. It is readily apparent that Ayers' parents employ pricey high-powered out-of-town attorneys to defend their son from his charges. (Courtroom interactions between those attorneys and the father of William Ayers reinforce this, with the attorneys pulling Daddy Ayers aside for extended conferencing before making motions.) A couple of days ago, Ayers was offered bail set at $900,000. That means that if his supporters/enablers come up with a $90k bail bond agent fee, or $900k on their own, Ayers will AGAIN be released into our community. All of this is a matter of public record: past convictions, state sex offender registry that showed Ayers working at Creek Bottom until his latest arrest, ownership of Creek Bottom, recent charges, and ongoing court case with private legal defense. All members of our community can and should make their own INFORMED choices here. Sending your money in Creek Bottom's direction could literally help lead to this individual being released into our community once again. Endanger the wealth that is supporting him, and we may be able to make a real difference for community safety. Please don't unwittingly contribute to a William Ayers legal defense fund or to bailing him out to walk among us again. If you see fit, stand by us in this effort.

The food truck/vendor festival downtown was absolutely packed and the lines were so crazy we decided we'd rather sit down in a restaurant instead. When we walked in, they cleaned off a table and had us seated right away. We ordered the crab pretzel for an appetizer because it sounded unique and interesting. It was so rich, almost difficult to eat, so we won't be doing that again. We ordered our food and I ordered a cocktail. We actually watched the drink sit on the bar, all the ice melting... for at least 20 minutes before it was brought to our table. It was a watered down version of what could have been good. Our food took over an hour to arrive. We walked in around 1:30, and didn't leave until 2:50. The food arrived at 2:40. We only left because I had somewhere to be at 3, not because we were finished eating... my husband's burger and fries were lukewarm at best, as were my fries. My sandwich was only hot because they had forgotten to make it along with my husband's food, and someone called out for them to make one real quick. Which explains why my husband's food was no longer warm, because we watched it sit there while they made my food. I had time to take a couple bites of my sandwich before we had to try and flag down our waitress for the check and to-go boxes because I no longer had time to eat before my event. This was so, so disappointing and we were really surprised that nothing was comped from our bill. Even a check in from the manager would have been nice, just to acknowledge that this was not the norm? If it had been my first time in, I would never be back.
