They will adapt most meals to your food preferences and make it clear if one has an ingredient that cant be removed (I hate mushrooms and its always quick and easy to see if they can send an option without them- never once has a meal come with them included!) My dad recently needs to be on a lower sodium diet so it's nice to provide 1-2 meals per week for him with no commitment- he usually eats only half of the portion per meal and can easily know the sodium content. My wife and I have tried a few of the meals and been happy with everything - sometimes calories and fat/sodium can be a bit higher than my wife prefers for a single meal but you have all the info before ordering. There's always a salmon option, and a recent "Retro Fried Chicken Bowl" was great if slightly unhealthier than ideal but had a nice portion of well cooked chicken and included a fantastic smothered sauce plus the side of applesauce was chunky, flavorful, and just as good as we would make at home. If you don't make your own applesauce this will show you why you should do it. Nothing but positive so far, and prices generally seem consistent with the "ready to cook" options in the market but you have much less packaging waste and don't need to spend a bunch of time cooking and cleaning up which can be nice during the week. Most dishes are 2-3 minutes heating up in the microwave and end up great. Don't get me wrong, we love to cook but I prefer to use my own recipes and for my dad with limited mobility a quick, healthier microwave meal or a "soft food" option is important. And for my wife and me, this is a nice supplement to our weeknight meals. Bravo to a great local business worth supporting!

We had cheese, sausage and pepperoni. Sausage was ok, the other two blah and mediocre. No herbs on any of them. The Chicago dog kit was great, with Vienna red hots and poppy seed buns with all the condiments. Easy to heat and tasty. The half rack of ribs with sauce was good too. The highlight was Eli's cheesecake. Perfect, thoughtful packaging, easy to serve and just delicious. I made a strawberry sauce to serve with it. All in all a lovely gift but I would send the deep dish over thin crust pizzas. I think they would hold up better and be easier to heat.

For most all of them, the vegetables are fresh and delicious, but Northern Fork's fruit is perfectly ripe and sweet. This way I never have to worry about getting a sour piece of fruit. The other thing is that I don't normally choose vegan food, but Northern Fork has managed to make everything taste delicious.
