Since I needed a last second haircut, I did a quick Yelp and decided to give his shop a shot. [Parking]: There's a small & free private parking lot right in front of the salon and I had no issue finding an available spot. [Appointment & atmosphere]: Walk-in welcome. In fact, I called and Jeff said I could just come in like ... now. I ultimately set an appointment and said will arrive within the next hour. I arrived on-time and only waited less than 5 minutes. Two chairs near the entrance for waiting customers. No TVs here and this will not be the biggest and brightest salon you'll find in town. [Price]: $30 for scissor cut or flat-top. $25 for fades / taper / pompadour / kids. $20 for regular cut or senior buzz cut. $10 beard trim. $16 for shampoo. [Service]: I showed a picture of brushed forward short hair with drop fade and Jeff said no problem. It was my very first time having two barbers (husband and wife) rotating and cutting my hair - wife was responsible for trimming and Jeff focused on the styling. Both took their time and paid extra attention to details. At the end, Jeff even asked whether I would like to gel my hair. They use compressed air to remove hair. [Conclusion]: 5-star haircut and service and this is probably my new favorite haircut spot in Orange County now.

However, the haircut itself was disappointing. Even my 8-year-old could tell it looked nothing like the reference photo we showed. He was just doing it the way he wanted despite I clearly told him what I wanted for my daughter's hair After waiting about 30 minutes while my daughter's haircut was being done, the front desk again asked if anyone could cut my son's hair. Once again, several stylists said they were busy or had customers. At that point I was frustrated and said, "That's okay, I don't need it anymore." What made it worse was that as I was leaving, I noticed a couple of stylists standing around without clients instead of helping with my son's haircut. I can honestly say that I've visited this salon three times, I tip generously, and I've never been picky. If you're considering this salon for children's haircuts, I would recommend looking elsewhere. In my experience, they do not seem to specialize in little boys' haircuts, and some of the staff are not particularly kid-friendly unless you already have a favorite stylist. [Parking] A relatively small and tight private parking lot, but plenty of street parking spots available. [Pros] * Friendly barber. * The barber uses compressed air to remove hair. * Same-day appointment only, but I was able to schedule a time slot pretty quickly and one time he said "can you come in the next 30 minutes?" and I said no problem. * One of the more affordable haircut in the neighborhood - $18 for men's haircut and $23 for haircut with shampoo. * The barber is very efficient and good at what he is doing. I showed him a picture of taper cut and he was able to execute it pretty well without too many questions. [Cons] * The shop is operated by the sole barber/owner so he will pause in the middle of haircut to pick up ringing phone calls. * The barber can be slightly rough as he has a tenancy to keep pushing customer's head while cutting and each customer will need to feel and adjust the position of your head for his convenience. I had one of the most head and neck movements for men's haircut. * There's always a slight wait even if you already have an appointment - I arrived on time for my last appointment and I did wait an extra 15 - 20 minutes. * Customers must call to set up an appointment and all appointments must be the same-day appointment. * There's a sign stating 'no restroom for customers'. * No TV here. * I will not recommend paying extra $5 for shampoo - water was cold initially and shampoo was only done once (some places do shampoo before haircut and shampoo again in the middle of haircut).
