The beans were originally just regular pinto beans (not sweet), so I asked them to add brown sugar. Once they did that, they were phenomenal. Easily my favorite side after the adjustment. The cheesy potatoes, unfortunately, were a miss. They tasted a bit soggy and like they'd been sitting out for a while, so those weren't great. As for the meats: The ribs were okay. They didn't have much seasoning, but they were very tender, so I'll give them that. The brisket was the standout for me--definitely the best thing I ordered. It was absolutely delicious in terms of texture and flavor, though even that could've used a bit more seasoning. Now...the barbecue sauce. This was the biggest letdown for me. It honestly tasted like applesauce, which just isn't my thing at all. They only had two sauce options, and I really wish there was more variety, especially for a place branding itself as Texas barbecue. Overall, it was just okay. I don't think I'd go back--not because it was terrible, but because I'm from Texas and I'm very picky about my barbecue, especially the sauce.
