Went to the food truck event this evening and everyone told me I needed to try out Bigs meat wagon since they had such good food. I was actually the first customer so I was aiming to have the freshest order. Paid $34.99 for the MEAT PLATE that said it had 1/4lb of brisket, sausage, and pull pork. Beans and potato salad. I also ordered a plain grilled cheese sandwich for my son. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The meat plate looked like it barely had any meat on it. For $35 I was expecting to be passing off the food to friends for them to try, but I finished the plate in minutes. The amount of beans were barely a spoonful and the potato salad was potato salad... yay. The food was cold by the time I ate it because for some reason the grilled cheese sandwich took double the amount of time as my "meat" plate. In fact at least 4 more orders got completed AFTER me by the time the sandwich was done. I thought I must of ordered something ridiculous but nope, it was just a regular grilled cheese sandwich that for some reason took 20mins to make. The meat was bland and very watery. To the point where when I was eating it, it literally felt like I was scooping the meat in a spoonful of water. That might have been the worst money I've spent on food ever. Which sucks because I had such high hopes. Next time I'll try the other bbq truck for sure. read more

My wife and I tried Bigs Meat Wagon at the opening of Murdochs in Fort Collins. It was fantastic. Found out that their present on Tuesdays at Fort Collins City Park. We tried Bigs again expecting another great pork sandwich. The sandwich was pretty good but that came along with it was a rip off. We got a large "thimble full" of bean sauce with about 3 beans it it and a small ice scoop size of potato salad. The sides were $3.00 apiece. My wife said what's this? I am sorry I didn't take a picture of it! The owner was working at the grill, and he probably would have made amends but he hired these young teenage servers at the grill to serve. So, we just let it pass. The sandwich was small but fairly good but short on barbecue sauce. Reminded me of very overpriced food that you would buy at a carnival. read more

Absolutley some of the best tasting BBQ I have ever had. I got the Brisket Grilled Cheese and you will not have to do anything else but that, to be quite honest. Every night they have a special and tonight it was Elote Brisket Mac n Cheese. It was gone in 5 minutes!! Check this place out if you want great, comfort BBQ! Shout out to the staff too. Defiantly one of our favorite food trucks! We always go to the food truck rally every Tuesday during the summer at city park and have tried multiple food trucks. This one by far is our favorite. Get there early because they always have the longest line (for a reason ) The Ribs, pulled pork and brisket are my favorites. My kiddo loves the Mac and Cheese. And the potato salad is amazing!!! Just saw this food truck in our local paper and luckily they were at the Fort Collins Food Truck rally at City Park tonight!! Hubby & I were sampling different dishes. Tonight we snagged one of the last loaded sweet potatoes and the mac-n-meat. The sweet potato was delicious. We topped ours with pulled pork w/ the beans on the side. Well cooked, soft and tender on the inside, burnt skin on the outside & topped with a fantastic pulled pork. Really enjoyed the BBQ it was served with, too. We went with the regular BBQ, not the super spicy one. I only allowed myself two bites of my hubby's mac & meat (also with pulled pork). It was creamy, filling and flavorful. Hubby also reports that the beans were great - they had multiple types of beans and were nicely seasoned, possibly with cinnamon? Very tasty. At $12 (6 for each dish we tried), I was very satisfied with the portion and value. Glad to have them in the FoCo food truck scene & Looking forward to another taste the next time the BBQ craving calls! read more

Pretty good BBQ. However, after waiting in line for nearly an hour (they opened a touch late and we were fifth in line) the cook was heckin rude. If you want pretty good BBQ and get there early enough, go for it. However if you have any follow up questions, ask someone else on staff if you don't want to get hollered at. read more

As good as BBQ gets in Colorado. I would argue the best BBQ I have ever had in my life. Their ribs were cooked to perfection and their brisket is mouth watering and juicy. The mac & cheese is a must. Ordered food here last night at Severance days, and it was nothing to be excited about for smoked food. We ordered the brisket nachos and my daughter a cup of the Mac and cheese. When we got the food the brisket was cold and my daughters Mac and cheese was way over cooked to the point it was like eating watered down noodles. Definitely not eating there again. read more

I really like the smokey flavor on the meat from Big's and the sides are usually simple but spot on. My biggest issue is with them using cheap mashed potatoes (which we didn't request or have any knowledge of) under the meat to make it look like we got more than what we ordered. It's this kind of dishonesty that makes me not want to go back there and eat again. I'll be sure to tell my lactose intolerant friend to stay away from the meat plates. Also- the spicy bbq sauce really isn't that spicy? I've eaten a lot of Korean food though, so maybe I'm just more tolerant to spice now. read more

Omg, the grill cheese pulled pork sandwich rocked the boat! Thinking a grill cheese with meat would not be good but it was so delish I ate the whole thing. It was a bigger sandwich, with texas toast than I would normally eat but i could not put it down. I'm sure the rest of the menu would be as good. The NOT so loaded ground beef nachos might've been okay if they didn't end up getting cold & soggy waiting 20+ minutes for the plain grilled cheese sandwich for my son. Sorry BIGs, but maybe that large of a venue isn't for you. We got in their line because it was a lot shorter than the Tex/Mex trailer next to them. We had about 10 - 12 orders in front of us. One band started right after we got in line & the next just finished their gig when we finally got our order. The gal said the food was made to order. I've never recalled waiting for my family's orders after receiving mine. Pretty sure that's not how a restaurant or any other food truck works. A friend who was in line well behind us received his order before us. Sad. :( read more

This was a huge disappointment!! I gave one star because I returned the plate and they were nice enough to give me my money back. The plate was 90% chunks of grisal and undercooked meat. Let's just say the smoke ring was more like a blood bath ring. Those girls don't know how to prep and slice brisket. Yuck what a ripoff! 19 bucks for two meat plate( which was less than half a plate) chips and a no brand small waterbottle. Anyone who has grown up eating really good prepared brisket knows there should be a deep smoke ring and rub. This looked like a cheap cut of masacred beef ozzing of blood. I will never go to this food truck discussing. Not to mention that the young girl in the truck shared that all brisket is mostly fat and there was nothing wrong with that, yeah right then you hash out on all the gross chuncks of grisal swimming in a pool of blood! read more
