For only four hours a week, you can get the best burger in Portland. Available from 5-9 PM on Thursdays only. I repeat, this is the best burger in Portland!

This is the KIDS-sized burger. Yum.

The Very Good: fries! The Meh: cauliflower burger. The Slightly Negative: tortilla soup. Prices are fair and they got a good system going during COVID. --------- It's the only eatery I know of that's only open one day a week. The reason is they are a catering company that wants to connect with the neighborhood, so for now the walk-in crowd only gets Thursday to experience their offerings. Their fries are Belgium style, meaning they are double fried. Think Potato Champion quality, so good. The burger was just the way I like it: simple and thin, not a towering monstrosity crammed with four different meats. I love it when places get creative with their condiments, and here they offer two standouts: fry sauce and Bama sauce (to compliment their chicken sandwich.) Lastly, the Sangria wasn't traditional wine-heavy Spanish style, but rather a refreshing lighter version, but with full flavor. Owner and bartender were way cool, the space is inviting, and parking is relatively eas

First off, this would've been a 5 star if it wasn't for the incorrect wait time. They took an extra 20 mins putting the pick up time at about 50 minutes from the time you place your order. That changes your food by the time you get to eat it. The white pepper burger, cauliflower burger and the fried chicken is pretty tasty. If you don't mind the wait time and your food not being hot by the time you get to eat it. This place isn't too bad. I will say, their pickled onions are pretty amazing.

We had a chance to join in for a friend's floral grand opening and invited over to White pepper. Very kind of them and we all enjoyed it very much, especially our son. What a beautiful place. There is a kitchen and bar. Are you looking for a place to rent? This is an amazing one for a small party or gather. White pepper does the catering plant based food well. Eat well, live well! The charcuterie board is impressive and delicious. Staff was soo kind and hospitality was great.

White Pepper catered our wedding in December of 2023. We tasted two caterers and White Pepper was the clear choice. We can't recommend them enough. We worked with Wil and he was so helpful. Our venue only had a prep kitchen and White Pepper rented the necessary equipment to cook outside on the sidewalk so that the food would be fresh. Day of went super smoothly and all staff were so kind and professional. All of our guests were raving about the food and our guests with allergies and/or dietary restrictions commented how accommodating they were. The food was plated beautifully, down to flowers on the butter. We continue to visit them on their Thursday burger nights because the food is just hard to stay away from.

Burger pop up - Ordered over the phone and very minimal lead time for a Saturday night picking up food. Very quick, safe, and convenient service during covid 19! Ordered the white pepper burger .. double patty, feta, bacon, sun dried tomatoes.. hello gorgeous! Came with a side of fries as well - for $10! Can't go wrong for a fun Saturday night treat. Will be back to try out other options we saw on the menu!

We had the best experience working with White Pepper to cater our wedding. From the initial phone calls and tastings to our wedding reception service, it was seamless and such a joy to work with Becca and the WP team. I would recommend them to anyone! Not only was the food exceptional and plated to perfection, but they assisted with coordinating our rentals and so much more. We could not have done it without them!

White Pepper is the absolute best catering company in Portland. We searched high and wide for the perfect company to entrust with doing the food & drinks for our wedding (since food was one of the most important elements of our wedding) and could not have found a more perfect company - seriously, you might as well stop searching and book them ASAP because we're sure they're about to become the next big thing in Portland catering! Wil and his assistant Marse' are so thoughtful, sweet, and just all around great people and incredibly easy to work with. They helped with every detail, providing advice on even how much alcohol to order (we had them prepare the drinks but bought the alcohol) and worked perfectly with our other vendors, which was so important. They even coordinated with Random Order to get our pies and safely transported them to our venue. They also source from the best, local suppliers in the pacific nw (i.e. olympia provisions for the charcuterie) so you know you're getting the highest quality food. Wil even invited us over for a tasting and we were just blown away by how delicious and artfully prepared everything was - even the basics, like the asparagus was so fresh and memorable. My only regret at my own wedding was not carving out enough time to eat and enjoy the feast they prepared since we were so busy interacting with the guests. The day of the wedding, the guests raved to us about how unique and tasty the signature drinks were. Every detail, from the chalkboards written by Wil's wife, to the charcuterie arrangement (still dying over it) and of course, the food itself, which perfectly encapsulated the pacific northwest, was so well-executed thoughtfully prepared. Finally, they are extremely affordable for what they provide (we did our research) and we're honestly surprised they don't charge more (as their food rivals caterers 2x the price) At the end of the night, they brought out chicken & waffle skewers that were a HUGE hit with the guests - some people described the scene of our friends descending upon the staff who brought it out akin to when a rare Pokemon is spotted and everyone rushes over ;) It was the perfect ending to a culinary journey of a wedding. We cannot say enough good things about them, and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who is planning a special event!

Staff was incredibly nice and provided suggestions for us as there are a number of choices to pick from and most of them sounded amazing so narrowing it down to just one was very hard. They make their own marshmallows and you can purchase some of the flavors to take home as well, a great souvenir if you know someone who is a big marshmallow fan. I went with the Buckeye, because peanut butter! And all of the S'mores are on gluten free graham crackers which honestly seemed to taste so much better than regular graham crackers that always have a stale taste about them. By 3:20, no one had arrived and I still hadn't heard anything. Around 3:25, I began trying to contact someone. After finally reaching someone after 3:30, I was told the kitchen had been extremely busy that day. At that point, I began to suspect the food might not be coming. At 3:49 PM -- just minutes before guests were arriving for a two-hour event -- I received a call letting me know the food had not even been made yet. I was told it might be ready "in a couple hours," and they suggested I order food elsewhere instead. We were left scrambling at the absolute last minute. We ended up ordering pizzas and salad from a local restaurant while family members rushed to the grocery store to put together charcuterie boards in the kitchen as guests arrived. It was stressful, embarrassing, and honestly hard to believe. I have worked in hospitality, events, fundraising, and vendor management since 2008 -- from hotels to nonprofit development work -- and I regularly hire caterers, bartenders, and vendors for professional events. In all those years, I have never experienced a caterer simply not show up and fail to communicate beforehand that they would not be delivering. To their credit, the contact person did apologize afterward and explained they were understaffed and going through staffing challenges. She also stated they would refund the order and help reimburse the replacement food costs. However, nearly a week later, I still have not received the full refund or reimbursement. I understand that difficult days happen in the service industry. What was most disappointing here was the complete lack of communication before the event and the position it put us in as hosts. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable relying on this company again for an event.

Sweet chili shrimp skewers, thai peanut chicken, asparagus risotto, arugula salad, plus two custom items we asked for: pork belly bao buns and fried chicken sliders. Everything was out of this world.
