A fantastic find tucked away in downtown Frederick. We were greeted warmly as soon as we entered. The restaurant was small and cozy although they did say they had another floor. We were served immediately, everyone was very friendly. We were only stopping in on the way to an event and only had time for an appetizer and drink but it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely return. We ordered the cheese bread, a cranberry cider and the chocolate orange slushy. If you park in the church street parking garage you can access it very easily. I highly recommend! read more

I've lived in Frederick since 2019, and one of my absolute favorite spots in town is White Rabbit Gastropub. The pizza is incredible, the salads are always fresh, and the drinks are consistently on point. The staff is genuinely attentive and welcoming, and I love getting whiskey and beer recommendations from the bartenders, they really know their stuff. The upstairs bar has an amazing atmosphere. It feels like stepping back in time, with warm lighting and rich red tones that make the space feel cozy and classic. Juliana, in particular, is outstanding, friendly, and attentive. This is such a cute little hole in the wall business. It isn't very big att all but the atmosphere is super cozy. Great place to go with friends and just hang out. The food is delicious amd they have options for those with dietary restrictions. The pizza was soooo good. The staff were also very friendly and a great vibe. There is a parking garage right next to the place but it's very cheap. I think it waa about $2 to park for 2 hrs or so. The garage does have a lot of stairs but is wheelchair accessible if you go out of your way. All in all 10/10 spot, will deff go again when I am in the area. read more

Had the opportunity to go to white rabbit this week in order to scratch my burger itch. Needless to say I was extremely satisfied. My group each ordered the smash burger with paramsan truffle fries and the singature "in crust we trust" pizza, which is a detroit style pizza layered with many pepperonis. The smashburger was amazing, melt in your mouth meat, pickles thst gave a nice zing. The burger definitely left you wanting to get a second one, sadly i had to refrain. The "In Crust We Trust" looked thick however the way the bread was made resulted in an extremely fluffy pizza. The end result was an amazing pizza experience, almost as if yoi were biting into a cloud. Already looking forward to my next visit! read more

My son and I stopped by White Rabbit Gastropub last month on our way home from Delaware. I like to look for these type of restaurants instead of hitting the typical roadside fast food place. The pub is tucked away next to a church in Frederick MD. GPS will take you to the church and the pub is actually behind it you can walk around back to get to it. There is a driveway and parking next to it. Service here was great and friendly. You order directly from your phone by scanning the QR code on the table. You can pay the bill that way as well when you're ready to check out. My son and I got the same thing which was the BLT special. We shared the fried green tomatoes appetizer. It was really good. The food was fresh and tasty. The beer I got was the Whistler from a local brewery. It was cold and crisp. Sitting inside was a little dark but, there are tables outside. It was a little hot for that on the day we went. I definitely bookmarked this place for another visit in the future. read more

After seeing the menu highlights and the ratings/reviews I was very excited to try this place. I dined in and the way you order is through your phone via website. The service was okay. The prices are pretty expensive for most of the items. I ended up getting the classic pizza flight (15$) with 3 different slices of their pizza and the crab poutine (18.50$). The pizza was okay but 5$ for a slice is ridiculous especially when the pizza taste doesn't match the price. The crab poutine wasn't good and overpriced. All in all, the food experience was very underwhelming and I wouldn't return or recommend. read more

Holy moly! Had not been in this building since the original La Paz restaurant was open. So glad we made it. First, we loved the decor. Super funky. Food: I'm still dreaming about the chicken cutlet sandwich. If, like me, sandwiches are your favorite food, highly recommended you get it. Pesto fries were crazy good too. The Detroit style pizza looked amazing as well but I was too stuffed from the chix sammie to have a bite. Can't remember our waitress's name but she was fabulous. Love this place. I visit every time I drive through Frederick with my dog. Best brussel sprouts in the business (Brussel Crowe). They have a smaller version on this on the happy hour menu, but they're so good--you'll want the full portion. I love that my dog can sit outside with me. And even though you order through a QR code, there's a whole team of servers that check on you. Food was not excellent. No, I did not have the famous pizza but I will try it. I have a serious issue with the Margaritas we had: The 1st round was the spicy Margarita: Spice overwhelmed the drink. 2nd round was the "normal": This is a sad lime-weak cocktail. Crab soup was good, but not excellent. Salad was pretty good, I enjoyed it. Service was very good, and the ordering payment system is forward-leaning and I appreciated it. You might want to fix your Margaritas or change the name to something that isn't misleading. A well-made Margarita is typically one of the best mixed drinks in a bar, my opinion. I will return to sample the pizza and drink beer. read more

Wow! From the moment we walked through the door through the fast, easy payment after our meal, everything here is wonderful! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and chose to sit upstairs. There is seating outside, with umbrellas (and weather dependent), and seating for about 20 downstairs. After we were seated, we were greeted by one of the wait staff who led us through the menu and ordering process. You can choose a paper menu or use a QR code to view through your phone (my choice), order online or by waitress (my choice); I went a little tech and a little personable. The waitress who took our orders gave me great suggestions - ultimately I decided on the Burrata Panzanella and added a beet burger. I don't particularly care for beets but never saw one before so was intrigued enough to try it. Hubby got the smash burger with a side of truffle fries He loved his smash burger and the fries were fully coated in a truffle Parmesan blanket. My burrata was fresh and oh so great. All of the vegetables - grape tomatoes of various beautiful colors, hulled corn, cucumber, pickled red onion - were just picked fresh and beautifully arranged on a lovely plate with fresh basil with the right amount (a kiss) of honey vinaigrette, maldon salt and delicious croutons (usually I think croutons are an unnecessary carb on a salad but these croutons were excellent). The service and the food were absolutely great. The ambiance is fine, while nothing to write home about it's VERY clean. I also judge an eatery's cleanliness by how well the bathrooms are kept and the bathroom I was in upstairs was very clean, amazing considering they are mixed seating (no offense, guys, but some of you don't aim well). Will definitely come back bec the menu changes based on what fresh foods are available. Last, there is plenty of parking because the restaurant is next to a parking garage. read more

Came here for a break from walking around downtown. The pub is tucked away off the street behind a parking garage. I sat downstairs at the bar and ordered through the QR code. Server also gives you the option for paper menu or to order through them which is nice. They are known for their Detroit style pizza, with one of them winning an international competition a couple of years ago. I decided to try the Veronica Vaughn. It was amazing. But the worst thing and the reason why I am dropping this low review is due to the fact that we ordered drinks and food all at the same time, and we only got our drinks when we were done eating the food, that for me is unacceptable, the Irish coffee we ordered was borderline cold when it got to us, so it was sitting there at the bar for a good while (we spent about 20 to 25 minutes eating our food) People seem to love the food here, but be warned about the service. Four of us arrived here on a Wednesday night at 5 pm. We were the last to leave at 10pm when they closed. That's how much fun we had, how good the pizzas were, how nice the staff was. If you like pizza, this is the place to try. If you like beer, too, then you got to check this place out. The smash burger sliders were delicious as well. Overall great experience and I've had this restaurant on my radar for at least a year. Let me start by saying, we traveled a little distance to dine here and knew if we didn't arrive by a certain time, we'd have to wait. Needless to say, we had to wait about 40 minutes, but SO worth it. You find this restaurant tucked in an alley and behind a garage complex on one side and a church courtyard on the other side. He was top notch at making you feel welcome, catching people immediately to get them on the waitlist and making sure their wait times were known before taking any info. Very efficient system. Heck, he even could tell you if the upstairs bar was full before you started up the stairs. This is a small establishment with 2 floors. And very glad we got to dine upstairs as it was such a step back in time, SO warm, both literally (cold night) and figuratively with the dark wood, red velvet wallpaper and cozy atmosphere with areas separated by curtain mini walls to provide intimate nooks. LOVED the atmosphere and really enhanced our experience. Service by all staff was impeccable and they had a group working system which seemed to work well. Ordering can be done from utilizing the QR code at your table OR as we were explained after being asked if we were first timers or repeat customers, that we could have hard copy menus if we wished. I prefer having it in hand after looking at their menu online for about a year now, I was ready to peruse a real menu. Food came out at a reasonable amount of time and as we waited everything smelled SO delicious. They're known for their Detroit style pizzas but their sandwiches are noteworthy too. My mind was made up way before getting their that the Detroit style pizza was why I was there; however, deciding on which one was the hard part. But, I was oddly curious about the Chicken and Waffle pizza. Yes, popcorn Buffalo chicken (which was the only downfall to this pizza) with dusted powdered sugar, side of maple syrup and the menu said whip cream, which I had to ask and was told it's made within the cheese layer. The pizza smelled wonderful, looked delicious and it was! The young lady that delivered it gave me a helpful tip on eating the popcorn chicken by dipping them into the syrup. She was correct, however the chicken was tough and not the quality I was expecting. I ended up eating them off of the pizza first & eating the pizza separately dunking into the tiny maple syrup cup (that could have been little larger for the size of the pizza). My husband ordered the Chicken biscuit sandwich which he thoroughly enjoyed. He couldn't figure it out, but said there was almost a sweetness to the sandwich. He also said that the chicken wasn't a "real" breast, but was more like a formed chicken piece, but still delicious. The fries, he was not impressed by. I saw other items go by and everything served looked so good. I definitely would like to return to try some of the other temptations I saw. Too full to order dessert and looked like most people including myself walked away with take home packages. Convenient pay at table option. Restrooms were gender neutral and clean.
