This is a uniquely intimate restaurant in Berkeley Springs and an unexpected find thanks to Yelp. We sat side by side at a little antique chest of drawers fitted into the bar. There is a written menu in chalk but we got the idea that is only a rough guide. Listen to what the owner suggests and feel free to ask for modifications. Now that COVID restrictions are eased there was a large group in the middle and another two-person table occupied. We did not feel cramped. My wife had a small charcuterie plate and I the chicken salad on a bed of greens. Both were excellent. read more

What an enchanting evening! Regina is an incredible chef, which I expected given the reviews, but I didn't expect that she would be so warm and welcoming, and a marvelous performer! She played guitar and sang to us after dinner, and her voice was so stunning that we went and bought her CDs the next day. The food was one of the best meals I've had in a long time, and would have been wonderful on its own, but having Regina chat with us between courses and then share her music with us made it a spectacular experience. read more

She was very knowledgeable about the wine. Room for improvement: The salad dressing tasted like bottled Italian, needed room temp butter with the bread, we should've each gotten our own cheese plate instead of having to share since it was supposed to be 4 courses. Adequate overpriced underperforming. Their chicken came with just asparagus. No other aides for $32. Napoleon was a delusional Frankenstein of sugary cream and pastry. This wasn't just a meal, it was an experience. Make a reservation; you can text the owner via the number on the web site for a reservation, even on days they are closed. It's a small place, and they probably don't have space to accommodate walk-ins. The food was delicious (The carrot cake!) and the service--provided by the owner's son--impeccable. The menu is very limited, but on the night we visited, Regina (the owner) made a special meal for another diner who couldn't eat any of the entree options. (She just wants to feed people!) The highlight, however, was when Regina sat down with her guitar, told us a few stories, and sang for us. My honest favorites were the songs she wrote herself. What a quaint little gem this is. Accidentally stumbled upon Ravenwood when I googled breakfast spots in Berkeley Springs. Ravenwood no longer does breakfast but they host a fantastic, fresh, and very intimate dinners (by reservation only). Regina, the owner, was so generous and my wife and I enjoyed her company and wonderful conversations. The menu seemed to be daily, with an emphasis on fresh and high quality ingredients and local influences. In all my travels, I haven't had quite an unique experience as this. 10/10 must go and highly recommend. read more

We walked out of Ravenwood Pub last night and said to ourselves, "what just happened"?! Our experience there was so wonderfully surreal. True hospitality, an intimate cozy setting, great food, a nice wine selection and to top it off at the end ... an absolutely amazing private musical performance by the owner Regina. Ravenwood is more an experience with the small, 16-seat, eclectic dining room and the very interesting owner/waitress than about food. The highlight was when the owner sang two songs for us - she was spectacular. The lows was the food and the pricing. The meal we had was prix fixe at $55 - for that we received an under-dressed salad of arugula, cucumber and red pepper, fresh bread that needed a few more minutes in the oven, a plate of regular food ( slice of beef with a mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and blanched green beans) and a good dessert. The food highlights were the "extras" of a beet dish and a cheese plate. I expected a higher quality for the cost. The wine selection was interesting and the prices were good per bottle ($35-$40). read more

Truly a distinctive and entertaining place to have dinner. The owner and chef are friendly, knowledgeable, and a hell of a lot of fun. The place is intimate, unpretentious, and unique for this area. Vegan and vegetarian options are available and reservations are highly recommended. It has a small everchanging menu and wine/beer list... but this translates to delicious and distinctive meals, vice the normal restaurants 1000 choices that all taste the same. Regina and Bill were the best and welcomed my friends and I into West Virginia. Bill is a cheesemonger and curated cheese plates for us while going over some of the history and the preparation. Regina served us the cheese plates paired with fantastic wine. Bill made well-portioned plates of pork loin, eggplant, and beef stroganoff. I ordered the eggplant which tasted wonderful with the masa and lentils! I ate some of my friend's pork loin and it was well-seasoned. For dessert I had some pear walnut cake and tiramisu, served with cream, berries, coffee, and champagne. Regina entertained for us all and gave a beautiful performance. I cannot recommend this spot more, it was quaint, intimate, and lovely. I felt humbled by the love the owners had for their passions and for each other. read more

I have eaten at Ravenwood many, many times over the last 3 or 4 years. I don't know why it never occurred to me to write a Yelp review before now. Better late than never, I guess. The food has always been wonderful, and Regina is a warm, wonderful, knowledgeable person and a heck of a singer. During Covid restrictions, we did a lot of carry-out meals from Ravenwood, and were not disappointed. Since dine-in has returned, the menus change according to the season and the availability of local ingredients. Regina is a big believer in supporting local farmers, butchers, and cheese and wine shops, as much as she can. I am fortunate to be a local resident, and highly recommend Ravenwood to any tourists who are kind enough to visit our lovely little town of Berkeley Springs. Reservations are recommended. read more

A boutique eatery, coffeehouse, bar, and bakery all rolled into one. Serving home cooked meals and baked goods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as fresh ground local coffee and beer and wine both local and from abroad, Ravenwood feels more like you've gone to visit a friend's house than gone out to eat. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner, and the food was so good we returned for breakfast the next morning. The Shepards pie was the best either of us ever tasted, and the sausage gravy and the heartiest I've ever had. All the food is made by the owner, Regina, a former professional folk singer who just might take out her guitar and serenade you if you're lucky! Such a cozy place just a 5 minute walk from the Berkley Springs State Park. Excellent coffee and sandwiches. For dinner we had homemade veggie lasagna and wild boar chili served with fresh crusty bread. Loads of wine sold by the glass and friendly casual service. Worth a visit for sure. read more
