A.J. does a great job at the inn. He's very hospitable and his breakfasts are great. They are mostly comprised of fresh local fruits and grainy bread. Coffee and orange juice are abundant. My room was a birch room and was very spacious since I was the only guest. It contains a separate bath off the bedroom which made it an en-suite. The tv worked and there was a small fireplace in the room which emitted heat if you needed it. The design of the shower did not suit the bathroom because it needed to be deeper. Too much water escapes and gets on the floor. The blinds and microwave need cleaning - desperately. Hopefully, that will get done. Sleeping at night was great because it was very quiet. Overall, a great stay at the inn. That part-time housekeeper needs to get hired to make it excellent!!! read more

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay here in Bill's Cabin, which is a free standing small wood cabin with living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and private outdoor hot tub. You get extra privacy with the separate entrance and building, as opposed to other B&Bs where you're in a central house. Bill's and the other cabin are totally free standing, the other units are all one long building with separate outdoor entrances. The main lobby/ house area is a few steps away and where breakfast is served as well as where you can grab soda or bottled water at any hour. There's also a lot of local brochures and an awesome DVD collection. We stayed over the rainiest weekend of all time. The cabin was cozy and we certainly enjoyed that amazing DVD collection- something for everyone. There is wifi which seemed a tad slow, but given the location and weather I was not surprised by that. The cabin stayed toasty even though we didn't turn up the thermostat or light the wood stove. The hot tub was quite nice for an evening when it finally stopped raining for an hour. Bill's Cabin is totally adorable in its rustic décor, and we absolutely loved the cat theme too! We were also told the cabins are pet friendly. Breakfast in the morning is great- pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit (HUGE honey crisp apples!!), juice, coffee. Great company with other guests and the owner, AJ. When we arrived the first night (around 8pm due to crazy weather), AJ was waiting and ready to give us a little tour. He even directed us to some local restaurants that would still be serving dinner. Location is a short drive to all the tourist locations and just a couple blocks from the lake. While I'm usually very frugal, I felt White Rabbit Inn was well worth the expense and we plan to come back for our first anniversary. read more

I don't even know where to begin- the White Rabbit Inn was truly one of my favorite weekend getaways my boyfriend and I have ever taken. It was perfectly situated on a gorgeous, private plot of land, very easy to find and close to many good restaurants (highly recommend Mesa Luna!). We stayed in Dusty's Cabin, a huge, beautiful log cabin, with a full kitchen, king bed, large TV and hot tub. We never even needed to leave the cabin! Everything was very clean, and up to date. AJ was an incredible host as well- informative, great conversion, and left you to your privacy. He made his home your home, offering beverages and great breakfast, along with a HUGE movie collection we dove into!! We were able to ride our bikes to the beach access, and catch some star gazing at the nearby Warren Dunes State Park. We truly can't wait to go back!! read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary and I am so glad he chose White Rabbit Inn. White Rabbit is a small bed and breakfast with private cabins and a few hotel style rooms and a common area for guests. We stayed in Bill's Cabin. Bill was someone's cat (not sure who the owner is) so the cabin is decked out in cat decor. The cabin was clean and air conditioned! The private hot tub was by far the best part of the cabin! We had a small kitchenette with a Keurig and refrigerator! Under normal circumstances there is a complimentary breakfast served to guests in the common are but due to the pandemic it has been cancelled. However there are plenty nice local restaurants offering a variety to please every palate! We would recommend Red Arrow Roadhouse and Izzy's Gelato! White Rabbit Inn is a cozy place for a romantic weekend away :) read more

Spent a night here last weekend (off season). Very cute and cozy place. Just wish we had made the reservation earlier and gotten one of the rooms with a fireplace and outdoor hot tub! But, that said, our room was charming anyway! The common area is very homey, with tons of movies (current ones as well as classics), snacks, coffee/tea, games, books (including a well-worn one on sensual massage), brochures, etc... A..J. was very friendly. Breakfast included a killer pastry selection from a nearby bakery. They were very helpful about suggesting things to do nearby (wineries, whiskey distillery, restaurants, etc). I also enjoyed reading the journals left in our room. Location is a short walk from the beach and close (by car) to many wineries and good restaurants. If in the area, I would definitely stay here again. Drive was an easy hour and a half from the city, although it could be nasty in summer construction I'd imagine. read more

We stayed while on our honeymoon and will definitely be back. AJ was very nice and friendly. Many beaches to choose from to swim in the lake or watch the sunset. Close to many wineries, breweries, and dining options. A definite hidden gem. read more

Made a last minute trip to the Michigan shore over Memorial Day weekend. Spoke to AJ on the phone and stayed at one of the garden rooms. The experience was really nice and laid back. The room came with a large bath tub and AJ has an extensive collection of films. Many of the movies are interesting hard to find older releases on VHS. The room had a really nice wooden bed that reminded us of girlfriends' furniture growing up in the woods near New Hampshire- and wooden touches throughout. Read comments from folks who have been staying at the bed and breakfast since the early 90s- its great to see a business around for that long. They are doing lots of things right. In the morning there was a good breakfast and birds and squirrels eating on the deck- black, red, grey and brown squirrels. AJ recommended a beach just down the road that wasn't too crowded despite the holiday weekend. Thanks for a great stay. read more

A beautiful rustic themed place tucked in the woods and close to all of the southern Michigan shoreline attractions.

Still the best night's sleep I have ever had away from home. Our host's, A.J. and Jan are more like old friends that we visit two or three times a year. Going out of season gave us a different perspective on the area. Loved being able to use the fireplace on the chilly (who am I kidding, it was cold!!! LOL) nights. read more

When we got here thought place was very close to highway tucked into the trees.Owner met us at the door very nice asked us in ,no sooner I stepped in it smelled old and musty .He showed us to our room very small very dated.From laying in bed you can watch someone bathe because it's right at the foot of bed.Tv is old VHS built into 12in TV cords going to $10.00 VCR,Antennae for tv is in the window two channels one you can watch other bad reception .Could not figure out how to play movie in room .Lots of movies to chose from in office free to you to watch in common room or take back to room.This place is a 1950s strip hotel that you would find off side of road in series Route 66 .Me and my wife laid in bed listened to all the road noise sounds as if we where at a rest area trying to catch a nap,for $105.00 a night. read more

My wife our dog Walter and I spent 5 days here and the place is wonderful.The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for cooking, sleeping relaxing. A. J. and his wife have owned this resort for years and you feel very welcomed. We will come back and maybe a winter time trip would be next. I read other reviews after we stayed here and this place is in the woods. You should expect leaves and trees and shrubs. We had a wonderful time staying here for the weekend of the Apple Cider Century. The room was so comfy, and the double whirlpool tub was just the ticket after the ride. A.J. was a superior host while we were there -- not to mention afterwards, when he got in touch with me right away about my knitting bag that I left behind. Charming, rustic, family run operation on some lovely wooded acreage. We were lucky enough to get a cabin at the last minute that featured a private hot tub. Cozy, real wood paneled cabin with exposed beams, gunstock floors, and a wood burning fireplace. Microwave, range and oven, utensils, plates, glasses- you name it, it was there. A.J. and his wife run a tight ship and are very knowledgeable about the surrounding towns and things to do. The office, which is accessible 24 hours has tons of good movies available for free. A short walk to the beach if you like, or a short drive to all the area offers. Nice breakfast every morning with cereal, fruit, juice, killer coffee, bagels, pastries. DO NOT MISS A.J.'s cream cheese blueberry muffins! Also, the raccoons and squirrels put on a corn eating contest every morning just outside the breakfast area- I kid you not! A lovely place that we look forward to returning to very soon. read more
