My tour of local dentists continues as I recently started having sensitivity in a back molar. My sister recommended this place, and her teeth are perfect so I decided to book an appointment. DHD has more limited hours than other practices, but based on all the stellar reviews I went ahead and scheduled some time. I was initially seen by the dental hygienist, Tiffany, she was great and gave me a LOT of good education. Can't believe with the amount of dental work I've had done I was "today years old" when I learned that enzymes in saliva make fluoride more effective, and my dry mouth is likely why I'm more prone to these cavities! I had a cleaning and she was great about working around my sensitivity and checking intermittently if I was reacting in any way to what she was doing. Dr. Tran evaluated my X-rays and referred me to an endodontist. Overall, I had a really good experience here. I understand why DHD has a perfect rating, I definitely had a 5-star experience! read more

Went for a simple 6 month teeth cleaning. I had to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed by my insurance company. They were aware of this at the time of my appointment. They sent a charge to my insurance that was $200 less than the amount charged to me in office. They also tried to get additional services scheduled that were not needed, which I found out after going to my regular dentist. AVOID. read more

This is absolutely the best dentist in Dallas. Background on me: I had a front tooth that needed a root canal and looked worn and was chipped. Several dentists suggested just removing the first 4 front teeth and doing all veneers. Not a single one of them made an attempt to keep my natural teeth. It was all veneer or nothing. I came to dental house and spoke to dr Whitfield and he was shocked I would suggested a veneer. He said my teeth were fine and we could just patch the other one up and make it look natural. When I say he delivered what he promised I mean it. You can't tell which tooth was fixed. It looks just as natural as the others and it looks great! It's been 4 years and my teeth still look great. Another time I wanted to get invisiline. I went to my childhood otro and she again suggested taking out 4 teeth so we could make space. I asked Dr Whitfield and again he said no way. I'm almost finishing with my invisiline now and my teeth look great and I kept all of them. Dr Whitfield I'd extremely conservative with what he does to your teeth. And he fights for your natural teeth as much as he can. He's a wonderful doctor and he's super respectful and careful. I don't mind going to see him bc I know that when got things that should hurt Dr Whitfield is careful enough that you don't feel anything. As for his staff the girls are also amazing! They're super nice and funny. One of the front desk girls also had returned a call to remind me of something I forgot. They go out of their way to take care of you and the dental hygienists are also stellar. I've never left feeling hurt or scared. I genuinely can't say enough about these guys and would recommend them in a heart beat. read more

HIGHLY SKILLED. CONSERVATIVE APPROACH. HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY. Wow I am in awe. I haven't needed dental work performed in over 40 years, so I was bummed to be told by a local dentist that I needed three crowns - and soon. I saw Dr. Whitfield for a second opinion and I am so glad that I did. He confirmed I had some cracks in my teeth but said there was no rush to address them unless I was feeling discomfort (which I wasn't). Many months later I started to experience some pain in one tooth when chewing. I went back to Dr. Whitfield and he confirmed it would make sense to put a crown on the tooth that was exhibiting discomfort. I was dreading the procedure. But to my complete surprise, the procedure was a piece of cake. I didn't feel any pain whatsoever during the procedure. Even the novocaine injections were painless! The procedure was completed within 2.5 hours in one visit. His staff is friendly, responsive, and go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable throughout any procedure. The vast majority of dentists in Dallas are out to find any excuse to take your money and give you procedures you don't need. Dr. Whitfield's honesty, conservative approach, and dedication to putting the patient's needs first is a breath of fresh air. I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. read more

Was in search of a new dentist after relocating to Dallas for work and to be closer to family. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Tran for over a year now, and her and the staff are excellent. From regular cleanings to more specific treatments needed, we have felt that we were in good hands during every visit. After having a filling refilled, I was dealing with some discomfort the following week. The staff advised to come in for a quick check up and were able to accommodate a last minute (and very needed) appointment for that filling. The issue eventually resolved itself, but it was good to know that they were also closely monitoring the issue. Overall, highly recommend this practice, especially if you live or work nearby! read more

I'm giving another follow-up review almost 6 years later. Still beyond satisfied with Dr. Whitfield and his team. My teeth are in much better condition than before I started coming here, and I have never worried about being told I needed work that I really didn't, which is why I left my last dentist. I have needed one tooth worked, and Dr. Whitfield made sure to send me to a great endodontist. I know some dental places are "all-in-one" and do everything from cleanings to root canals, oral surgery, etc. but I appreciate that Dental House is excellent at general dentistry and sends you to a specialist when needed. read more
