I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment as I am a new patient here. I did the entry paperwork and about 15 min past my appointment time I was called up stairs. The entry is very nice with modern white couches and TV so the wait didn't seem long. I came in because I had a crown from 10+ years ago fall out and wanted to compare doctors. I went to another dentist and my first visit with them I had zero cavities or issues but only 6 months later when I went back in I mysteriously had 9 million things to fix with outrageous prices. I wanted a second opinion so I came to FLOSS. Dr. Rob was super helpful and explained every part of the exam to me in detail then showed me the trouble areas. He told me what was important to get taken care of right away and what could wait if needed. The woman in charge of billing was super nice and showed me the break down of what it would cost out of pocket and what my insurance would cover. They were able to do the procedures I needed same day and I don't know if I'm just older and it hurts less but let me tell you the pain was extremely minimal. A little bit of pressure and sensitivity but otherwise it was a walk in the park compared to what I remembered as a child. I started at 10:20 and walked out by 2pm with very minimal waiting. I paid for floss dental to provide me with invisiline services which came with a "love your smile guarantee" When I came back to finish my treatment they informed me they had closed my file and that they were bought out. What difference does it make who owns the company the contract should be honored.  Also, my contract came with Free Whiteing, they stopped giving that out as well. I left extremely upset that I gave them 5 thousand dollars and I still have crowding in my bottom teeth. I am actually going to file a grievance complaint soon. I love this place. I've had three visits now and every time has been fantastic. My first appointment with Dr. Boothe was for a cleaning, x-rays and exam. The awesome part is that if you're a new patient, you get a free Zoom whitening. Everyone in the office is so nice and welcoming. Never are they condescending or judgmental - that's just not how they roll. My second and third visits were for a root canal. As expected, I was pretty terrified. It wasn't bad at all. Seriously. It was easy. And, better yet, Dr. Boothe and her team are so skilled that I had virtually no pain after. Most importantly, Floss takes most dental insurance and is really good about helping with payment plans and discounts. I can't recommend them more highly. I've been coming here for years and it's always been great. Really nice staff there but don't go there if you need to get a crown done. They did the impressions for my crown back in June. They didn't get it correct on multiple return trips to be fitted for the crown. The last time was supposed to be a "rush order" but it took the same amount of time as the other. I go back tomorrow to see if the 4th time is a good crown. If I would've known it took this long, I certainly would have considered going somewhere else. read more

Oh.. so we're walking. This woman is really nice. Wait...she's creepy nice. What the fuck, we're on a tour? You're showing me the facility? What? Dental offices are supposed to be mysterious and eerie! Stop explaining stuff and comforting me! Whoa..What's happening now? You're explaining the x-ray to me? On a TV screen that also plays cable during my cleaning? Seriously....When will this start sucking like a true trip to the dentist? Ah-ha! Time to discuss what's wrong with my teeth. Finally! This is where you'll lecture me about seeing a dentist more often, and tell me how bad my teeth have gotten due to lack of dental care. Finally it will be the embarrassing and accusatory dental experience I'm used to. Shit. You're complimenting my teeth. I haven't been to the dentist is 3+ years and you've found things to compliment. Ok... I do need a deep cleaning. I figured as much. Ok. Stick the needles in my gums 20 times and scrap plaque off in a painful, sadistic fashion for over an hour and get it over with. What.the.fuck. I'd like to start this review by saying that, at the old Lemmon location, I had a crown put on my tooth by a dentist that I do not remember his name. He did awesome work. My crown has never given me any problems. But then he left. And then the office moved and I was placed under Dr. Kasali's care. Do not, under any circumstances, let Dr. Kasali near your teeth. He did quite a bit of work on my mouth a few years back. I needed old metal fillings replaced and a crown on one tooth. This was (and still is) an absolute nightmare. I could tell right away that the crown didn't fit right. There was a huge gap between the top of the crown and my gums. This is not how a crown is supposed to fit. I called and asked for him to fix it. I went back in (I think this was Spring of 2015) and he told me that he had fit the crown like this on PURPOSE because he wanted me to have use of my "natural tooth," but that he would "remember for next time that I didn't like crowns to fit that way." Then he and his dental assistant slapped some composite on to try and fill the gaps. Needless to say, I did not go back to him because I lost all confidence that he knew what he was doing. Fast forward to now and I have a new dentist. That crown now needs to be replaced. After only 2 years. There is staining (i.e. decay) because, SURPRISE, food gets caught in the huge gap between the crown and my gums. All the flossing in the world (and believe me, I try) won't get all the food out. I would post pictures (my new dentist sent me the pictures from the inside of my mouth), but I'd rather not gross everyone out. Crowns should last MUCH longer than this. Insurance won't pay for them to be replaced more than every 5-8 years. So now I need to replace a crown using money out of my own pocket. I'm currently trying to get my money back from them. I'll update this post to let everyone know how this goes. Otherwise, I'll be reporting them to the state board. Update 8/4/2017: Kristen at FLOSS Oaklawn called me today (I'll note that Kristen has been very responsive and helpful). She said that, after reviewing my case, including new X-rays and pictures taken by my new dentist, FLOSS corporate was wondering if I would consider going to another dentist at their Cedar Springs location to get my crown replaced at no charge. Though in a perfect world, I'd probably rather have my money back, I do consider this to be good faith offer on their part. So I'm taking them up on that offer. If you know me, you know I've had quite the battle with the porcelain veneers I had put on almost 2 years ago. Well...here we are again...after I bit into the tortilla chip from hell, and ...pop goes the veneer. This time...swallowed....sucker is GONE. Looking for a place in Dallas where I could at least get a temporary put back on quickly, and that won't break the wallet....was a task....and here I am looking like Hillbilly Leigh, the toothless wonder. Awesome. Then...I get a tip from a friend about this place called FLOSS in uptown...and I immediately remembered seeing that office, it being in the middle of an area I frequent. I wont lie, I assumed its location would mean it was gonna be priiiiiicey....but was willing to check it out. Their website is pretty sweet...I see there's an email where I can inquire the cost and time range of getting the temp put on. Within 10 minute of writing them, I get a response answering all my questions and saying they could fit me in THAT AFTERNOON. Thanks, Sami! Check. Sold. You win....sign me up. This place exceeded all expectations I had. Upon walking in, I'm greeted by Brittany the Office manager, and already feel all those normal "EEK! the dentist office!" fears wash away. This felt more like going to get my hair done :) Brittany got my info, and offered me a drink from their "Beverage List"....(this is where I get a little excited)...it included all the norms: water, sodas of all kinds.....what is that I see? Beer???? and WINE??? WHERE AM I?!??! I almost hugged her. ha......BUT, alas, I was still thinking I would be making it back to work that day, so I chose water. But man...color me impressed. The office was very inviting, yet still very sleek and modern. ALL the employees there that I met talked to you like they've known you forever...you were one of them...all young and friendly, I half expected to be invited to a happy hour after work! After I sit....the nicest, coolest and sweetest RDA came to assist me, get me prepped, and talk to me about whats going on with these stubborn veneers! I want to say her name was Karen, and I HATE that I can't totally remember, cause without her, that experience wouldn't have been near as easy as it was. Even when we realized I was gonna be there for a while....and this was probably not gonna be QUITE as pleasant as I had hoped, she subtly offered me that beer..... and this time, I took her up on it. Next thing I know, a cold Miller Lite in a bottle was sitting in front of me. God bless these people. Even when I got my shot...that being my worst fear (needles)...she grabbed my hand and squeezed it.....she has no idea how much that helped...even though I think I told her...I was drugged up, people... My dental expert for the day was Dr. Mandie Boothe. Fella's....get in line for this lady...she's single, smart, successful.....and haaaawt!!!! For most of the time I was in teh chair with these two lovely ladies working on my mouth, we all talked about how everyone tries to match her up with fellas, we talked about all the losers and all the keepers (Hi, Uno *wink), I was sitting in the DENTIST CHAIR...face going numb...and laughing hysterically at these girls. Seriously...what planet was I on. Isnt the dentist supposed to be scary, boring and painful? Well, Dallas....not here. Here I was among friends....friends that just happened to be successful and talented dentists and dental assistants....wanting to figure how to fix me up and make my smile the best it could be :) They made a believer out of me...and I recommend them to any and everyone. Great customer service - people there are super friendly, and location can not be beat, but I would not go back... The doctor suggested whole bunch of unnecessary work, like replacing perfectly good fillings with newer once. My main complaint is that they didn't do a good job at cleaning teeth, it took less than 2 minutes and the girl didn't even floss. I love going to the dentist because of that great super clean mouth feel for days after the appointment, but not after this place. read more

Sweet Caramel Christ. How have I not reviewed Floss yet? I wish Yelp would let you give just one review six Stars. That one place that you believe is truly above everywhere else you've been. Floss would definitely get my Sixth Star. Let me make this very clear to start my review. I HATE THE FUCKING DENTIST! I loathe going to dentists. I always feel gross, and judged, and nervous out of my skull. I harbor no pro-dentist biases. I just need to be clear! Laura R. told me about how great this dentist office was that she had started going to named Floss. She said I had to give them a call, dentistry fear or not. I called expecting to be scheduled two months down the road. I've never gotten a quick dentist appointment in my life, what would make Floss any different? To my chagrin, they got me in within a week and a half (and that's only because my schedule conflicted with earlier appointments). I called about two days before my appointment and broke down just how scared of the dentist I was. They told me it wasn't a problem and told me I could have nitrous through my cleaning. They couldn't have been nicer. I walk in for my appointment and it was if they already knew me. I signed my name and they immediately associated me with the scared dental pussy. My hygienist walked me back to my little dental chair after giving me a full tour of the offices. They have TVs in front of every patients' chair (except mine the first time). Very clean, very comforting. We knocked out my cleaning easily. I swear every staff member must have known how retardedly frightened I was because it felt like every one stuck their head in to ask if I was alright or ask how I was doing. I had been putting off the dentist for easily six or seven years. It's been a long time. Dentists scare me. Combine my dentist fear with 6 years without a checkup and I was convinced that the next time I went in, they'd pull half my teeth, and give me 2,367 root canals in a row. They couldn't have calmed me down better. Explained my xrays to me on a big TV screen, and told me that besides a little more brushing, my teeth are actually pretty damn healthy. My old dentist would go out of his way to focus on what I wasn't doing. Floss made sure to encourage good I was doing for my teeth. As awesome as my first appointment was, my follow up appointment is where Floss really blew me away. I showed up about 10 minutes early to my appointment and immediately they were apologizing for running behind schedule. They told me it would be a *GASP* "30 minute wait" and acted as if they had shot my grandmother. They insisted I go get something to eat while I wait. I told them I'd feel awful coming in for a cleaning with a mouthful of food. "Oh it's fine! It's out fault we're running late! Not yours!" They then insisted they give me a coke. Again, right before a cleaning? They were so apologetic for making me wait 30 whole minutes that they then offered me a beer. I'm sorry... did my dentist office just offer me a beer? "Yeah! We have a fridge full of them, really it's not a big deal. We feel awful for making you wait." Finally I agreed to a little bottle of Pellegrino and waited maybe 15 minutes. My hygienist came out and told me "I am supposed to be with another patient right now, but I know you trust me, so she can wait." While finishing my cleaning, the Michael Jackson death story broke on CNN. Yes, I learned about Michael Jackson dying in my dentist chair watching a big TV. My hygienist and I were cracking all sorts of awesome jokes. You rarely find a hygienist who can make a good Michael Jackson joke. In addition to amazingly friendly service for a simple delay (Most dentists would have just had you sign in and wait 30 minutes without mentioning a delay) they offered to squeeze in my free teeth whitening that day too since they felt bad I had to wait. What kind of medical office offers same-day procedures?! I have always been greeted with a smile, and they did great work. My teeth improved instantly. I never thought I'd enjoy going to the dentist, but I love Floss. read more

I am disappointed with my first and last visit here at Floss. I had high hopes based on the yelp reviews, which sadly offered no merits during my encounter. Pros: -Nice facility, trendy, good location. -Friendly staff Cons: -The appointment felt very rushed. -I felt very pressured to do or buy everything suggested as it was itemized out to me. -Although I was long overdue for a dentist visit and had localized sensitivity and pain, they (dentist and hygienist) did not locate any problems. After getting a second look from another dentist, turns out there was an easily located and visible issue where I had pain (buccal surface/buckle). The overall office and staff definitely portray a young, new, modern, "all the frills" image...but my visit had me questioning quality of care and experience. read more

Alright alright, I've been back now for my Zoom whitening experience. They were made quite white quite zoomy in 30 minutes. I arrived for my appointment and they brought me right back and put me in the room. The guy explained what he was going to do and got to work putting the thing to hold your mouth open in my mouth and painting on the whitening stuff. Then he put the big light o' whitening up to my mouth and left me to cure or bake or whatever. He did leave me with a squeaky stuffed animal in case I needed something and checked on me after 15 minutes and repainted more whitening stuff and put me back under the lamp. I watched Oprah while all this went down. They were wearing scrubs this time but still no name tags. I guess working in the medical field I have come to expect them, but apparently they just don't do them here. At least come to you and say "hello, my name is Joe. I am a dental hygienist" or something. I'm going to raise them a star because I think they did a good job. I'm not sure if I'm being nitpicky about the badge thing but overall I do feel kind of like it's a bunch of teenagers running a dentist office. Is that a bad thing? Maybe not? read more

I decided I was going to quit my job, so what do you do before you do that? Use your health insurance to get your teeth cleaned! Duh! So I made my appointment and went on over. Since it wasn't too far from my house I was able to get over in plenty of time. They were right on time, have new and up to date magazines waiting to be read and CNN playing on the TV, if you're into that kinda thing. The technicians were extremely nice. They did my X-Rays and got me ready for my cleaning. The cleaning itself was AWESOME. I'm a smoker, I drink red wine, I have stains. I admit it. They got my teeth back to pearly white before I knew it. I did have a filling that was partially broken and they asked if I wanted to have it fixed. Two more days with insurance, well yes, yes I do. They have an option to get a shot that actually has half the numbing time. I don't know what the fun is in that. I like being numb, drinking water and dribbling down my face. (really I do) So off to the other room to have my filling extracted and refilled. In between I called my boss. "I'm going to be here for a while" 5 minutes later, literally 5 minutes from beginning to end, new filling. If I'm back in Big D with dental insurance, yup I'll be back! read more

I wanted to provide an update to my original review based on a second visit to Floss. I must take back the "fake" comment because during my second visit, the staff seemed friendly and genuine. No complaints there. The pros: 1) State of the Art Equipment 2) Clean facility The cons: 1) They don't know how to do a simple cleaning and polish job. I've had my teeth cleaned/polished every 6 months for 20 years+. I've never seem a hygienist move so quickly and do such a quick a crappy job. I would compare their teeth cleaning to someone hosing off a car and considering it clean. 2) They have a hardcore car salesmen sales pitch. I just don't feel like I can totally trust them to ONLY point out my real problems. I walk out questioning whether the cavities they told me needed filled are actually there or not. PS: I went and paid for a second opinion and found that Floss really seems to over-assert their claims. 3) The work they do is not super stellar. I've had minor problems in my mouth since getting 2 cavities filled by them. Problems that didn't exist prior to the work. ----- Unfortunately, I won't be going back to Floss every 6 months because while I think they have a great facility, their staff is not well-trained to clean teeth and perform routine oral work. And to get bombarded with sales pitches for extra services is something I don't like getting from my dentist's office. To top it off, 3 months after getting a cavity filled, it is starting to cause pain. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE. read more

This place is truly a dental experience, not an appointment. Yes, the staff (dentists included) look like they were cast for their positions based on how beautiful they are, but all that does is add to the strangely chic appeal of this establishment. Going to the dentist is unpleasant as it is... why not sweeten the deal with nice-looking people? Seriously though, Floss treats a first-time patient well. You get a tour of the facility (they even show you where the tools are sterilized, which kinda makes you wonder about other dentist offices...), and each treatment room has a flat screen TV to which they actually give you a remote in case you want to change the channel! What a concept. The dentist himself, who introduced himself by his first name (adding to his dude-bro persona, like he would clean your teeth then challenge you to a game of beer pong), actually did my cleaning, which I don't think has ever happened my entire life. He was awesome. The tech who'd taken my x-rays assisted him, so it was like I had a whole team just to clean my teeth. I was in and out of there in less than an hour. No underhanded billing practices (told me what I owed and billed the rest to insurance). They tried to upsell me an invisalign retainer, but not aggressively at all. Not a fan. Front desk did not verifying ins til I got there. After sitting around for 15 min, I was told they couldn't locate me on my own ins plan. So either I pay outta pocket or reschedule. So I left. My wife went the next day for her appt & asked what happened, they said everything was just fine. There was no prob verifying my ins... after I left. Wonderful experience today! I had not been to the dentist in a few years, and everyone went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and knew exactly what was going on. Although they did talk to me about getting Invisalign done, I in no way felt pressured to consider having it done right then or in the future. As I was leaving, the lady at the front desk let me know that I qualified for a free teeth whitening since I was a new patient! I've been a patient of Clint Herzog's for years, even before he moved over to the downtown Dallas area...super nice/cool guy! I'm one of those rare cases of NO dental issues, never had a cavity and probably never will (my dad was the same way). But Clint still patronizes me when I come in noting how grateful he is that all his patients aren't like "me"...lol. I have been looking for a good, reliable dentist office around the Uptown area for months and I think it is safe to say I'll stick with FLOSS. To get to the point, arrival process is a little sticky, there are parking spots in front of the office but they seemed to be filled up by other businesses. My tip is to drive a little further up and there is a church that was not busy at all that you can easily park at. Check-in with the receptionist was straightforward and to the point. The waiting room was an attempt at chic-trendy, new-age rooms, not your typical dentist office. The purple rug made me laugh because, to me that was a little much from a color scheme perspective. After about a 30 minute wait, I was taken up stairs and was told that to receive your free whitening, you would have to get x-rays from them. X-rays were about $55, and they took excruciatingly long, but understandbly so. After that was finished, it was about an hour and 10 minutes arrival - my point being is that I was in a little rush to get finished because I had to get to work. I met with Dr. Adjin, pretty cool guy, really made a strong effort to get to know me and make me comfortable, it wasn't the classic drill-em, fill-em and bill-em dentist feel. He's a thorough dentist. Then, the hygienist came and not only was she fast but she was extremely good, I was very impressed how well she cleaned without poking me once with the pick. They were pretty nice when it came to explaining the potential extra work that their office could do as well as their Invisi-align packages. I checked the price of the perio-medicine they charged me for at the office and it was a pretty fair mark-up on it so that also added to the pro-side of the office. Overall, not a bad visit, pretty good customer service just hope the pace/speed of visit picks up for my next cleaning. read more

First off. I hate the dentist. I loathed the dentist so much I stopped going for 11 years. 11 years I decided that it would be better if all my teeth fell out than to go through that hell that happens in a dentist office. After spending over five thosand dollars in one year for dental work and some if it I thought was little excessive billing, I decided that all dentists are created the same. We just want your money. New girlfriend tells me my breath stinks. I still hate the dentist. Girlfriend begs me to goto Dentist. I call her Dentist office to set appointment because I have trust issues with Dentists. Her Dentist office can't tell me what my insurance will pay or not pay on the first vist - shit here we go again! Screw this I said. So I these Floss people been sending me mail ads since I moved to Dallas, they where in my insurance network so I decided to give them a try, that couldn't be any worse than my past experiences, and i was really doing it to get my girl friend to stop complaining. I filled all my paperwork out in advance, and had a seat in the waiting area. As I sat in a real comfy chear and declined beer, I became nervous about what they where going to find wrong with me. As the sounds of dentistry echoed through the walls my nervousness grew and I became freaked out and it became harder to distract myself from the impending doom that was about to come upon me. I was worried if this place is to "ritsy" for me as I was I looked around the waiting area and noticed I was probably the most out of fashon person there. My name was called and I was offered a tour. Ok that's weird. After the tour I had some xrays done, and then more xrays, pictures, consultation performed. Got my teeth cleaned, and when it was done with I didn't hate those Dentists at Floss. In fact I just can't wait to go back to make sure it wasn't all an imaginary experience. In my consultation they showed me the problems I had, nice detailed pictures. Ok here it comes, here comes the doom, here is where they tell me how bad everything is, and they run me into the ground. The Dr just went over everything no judgement, no running into the ground, and even found things to compliment me on. They broke it down cost wise, what my insurance would cover what wouldn't be covered. They didn't pressure me in setting appoints for getting any of it done. Dr. McIntosh is really sweet and she made me feel very comfrontable. This place is awesome for a Dentist office. I would recommend it to anyone, and my friends and family know that I just don't recommend anything. I'm due back in a few months for another cleaning, I'll try to write another review then. I have always hated the dentist but I love going to Floss! Going to the dentist is usually like nails down a chalk board for me, it just plan freaks me out and my teeth have always suffered due to this! One month after going to Floss I had to go to my sisters wedding and everyone could not stop talking about how amazing my smile was. When I went to Floss the first time, it was really clear that this was a place to not only fix what dental work I currently needed but they were also committed to giving me a smile I was proud of finally. They have a beautiful office with everything to make you comfortable and keep you from being bored. They have private Tv's in every room but really never leave you sitting long enough to watch them. Plus, the staff is all so nice and funny you will be talking and laughing the whole time. The greatest part of the whole thing is their prices are extremely inexpensive compared to most the dentist in North Dallas and I called around and got price quotes. If you want to have a great experience going to the dentist and know you are working with people who care, then use Floss next time you need to go! read more

This is a lovely space and a great, friendly staff of people. They offer free teeth whitening to all patients. My fiancé said his teeth hurt for a few days after so I chickened out, but I'm sure it's not like that for everyone! They have appointments available at 7 in the morning, which is absolutely fantastic for those or a who can't take a ton of time off work. Also, I accidentally showed up an hour before my actual appointment, and they worked to get me in well before my time. They certainly didn't have to, and I love that they put in that extra effort for me. The equipment is all state-of-the art, and they explain everything they are doing while they are doing it. You get to see actual shots of your teeth as well as the x-rays, so you can feel pretty confident they aren't just drilling into your teeth to make some extra bucks. The Lemmon Avenue is very clean, no worries of infection. Overall, I'm a fan! read more

I went her 2 wks ago after having a terrible experience at another dental center. I had my wisdom teeth pulled at Clinic X on a Friday and by the following Tuesday (after having talked to friends and coworkers and learning from their experiences), I was convinced I'd had the world's worth dentist (or at least he's in the top 10 of world's worst... that was for another review though. So I called this place up and asked if I could come in ASAP to have a dentist check me out and make sure everything looked ok (I was still in quite a lot of pain). I was told I could come in at 4 (it was 11am when I called) and that I'd have to pay an exam fee since I'd just had an "exam" within the time frame allowed by my insurance. I was seen by Dr. Steffens. He was SOOO nice. He took xrays and then checked me out and sat and talked with me for about 30 minutes. He reassured me that everything looked ok, gave me a prescription for a steroid to aid in healing and asked me to come back in two weeks for a cleaning (the other "clinic" charged my insurance for a cleaning that consisted of the dentist taking 4 minutes to spray high pressure water on my teeth....). The office staff then charged me NOTHING for the visit, xrays, etc! I was blown away. You just don't encounter honest, caring medical professionals like that every day! I have found my dental office/dentist for life! They mentioned a zoom whitening special for all patients but I was in a lot of pain so didn't get all the details... I think it's included at no additional charge but don't quote me on that. In a word- phenomenal! read more

Worst Experience in dentistry, AVOID FLOSS AND ALL THEIR CHAINS AT ALL COST !!!!!! All they care is about how much they can sell you "dentistry". They don't practice with honesty and integrity. During my first dental visit they wanted to "sell" me the invisalign and told me I had 4 cavities on the top of my teeth. I returned to my general family dentist that I have seen for years and he stated that all my teeth were cavity free. Had I not gotten a second opinion they would have given me fillings that were not required. In addition they said that 3 surfaces of my teeth were affected by the cavity and called it an "OBL"! Not sure they are practicing insurance fraud but I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't trust them if I were you, choose a dentist with a more modest office but who cares. Worst root canal of my life. Dentist got visibly annoyed when I told him that I still felt the pain and needed some more time. Started again and he continued to drill despite my waving hand until I physically grabbed his hand to make him stop. Complete lack of professionalism on his part. The front office staff was delightful, but after that experience I was DONE! Also, my projected treatment plan was around $16,000 - I got all the work done at a different dentist for around $10,000. read more

I had called Floss to schedule an appointment for a cleaning as my regular dentist (Dr Slaughter at Lakewood family dentistry) was booked until the end of September. Initially, I was happy as Floss could get me in quickly. I was told on the phone that the basic cleaning would be $175 with required X Ray. This was $75 higher than Lakewood dentistry but I was getting in quickly so I didn't mind. Once I was in the chair, however, I was told that I would need a deep cleaning which was going to cost over $1200! I communicated that I just had a deep cleaning done about 8 months ago (for a FRACTION of this price I might add) and that I just wanted to get the basic cleaning that I had scheduled. Dr Kasali told me that they wouldn't do that, walked me to the front desk, apologized for the miscommunication on the phone and they proceeded to charge my debit card. I took a Vacation day from work today, paid $100 and got ZERO cleaning on my teeth. read more

Nice staff, good hours, close to home, clean office... not much to complain about. Everyone was really friendly, which usually makes me a little nervous, but it was 7am so I chose not to worry about it too much. I really enjoyed my time there, but now I'm realizing that I don't think my teeth got flossed. Maybe they don't do that anymore. Either way, it was a pretty easy experience and I made another appointment in 6 months for another cleaning. I also plan on going back for their free yearly whitening service. Yay! read more

Highly recommend this dentist to anyone who expects great people, latest technology, and exceptional results. This deserves 5 stars because it was the best dental experience I've had in forever. The best part is that it doesn't even feel like a doctor's office. They have created a very relaxed atmosphere while delivering professional solutions. I went without medical insurance for a while, so earlier in the year when I was covered again I made a point to find a dentist and go in for a cleaning. A cleaning. And okay some x-rays, since I know those are only good for a couple of years. I left with a lengthy and very expensive list of suggestive upselling pushes. None of which would have been covered by insurance, by the way, as is so often the case with dental issues. The staff is certainly nice enough, but I was acutely aware that I was paying for their swank Uptown location (Routh St) and fancy equipment. I know there are worse places to give your business out there. But just be wary if you choose to patronize these guys. Be mindful of your budget and what is truly necessary. Going to the dentist has never really been a favorite trip of mine. I'm always intimidated that they'll shame all of my teeth into abandonment and I'll be left all gums, toofless, and alone... alllll alonnnnne. So I really have to pump my self up to get in there and brace myself for the "Bad Kiery Finger Wag" and promise to put on my big girl bloomers. No I don't floss as much as I should... and I chew gum and drink soda, and all of the wrong things, so I'm sure the evil dentist goons will make me suffer for it, right? Wrong!!! At least it's not that way at Floss. The staff here is very friendly. They could tell I was a bit nervous and went out of their way help me get my comfy on. I was in for extractions and I didn't feel a bit. The worst part was that numbing gel... it taste like what I would imagine rocket fuel taste like. But it was over soon and I am happy that I've gone. I'll be back to get my zoom whitening before the years end and will be starting my invisalign shortly after the year begins. The one fallen star was for them telling me I'd be able to go to work the same day as getting three teeth pulled... which is more of a shame on me moment for not knowing better. read more

had an appointment, they did X-rays and recommended a "deep cleaning" for $674. Asked for just a regular cleaning and my request was denied. Did not even get a proper exam. But they filed my insurance anyway. Got a second opinion and didn't need the deep clean and was told that the X-rays were low quality..... read more

I was recommended by a friend to go to this dentist. I had a pretty good experience when I was there. I got 5 cavities filled and they didn't hurt at the time, but now I have some teeth pain on one side. They are up to date on technology and try to impress you with it, but don't fall for it. They aren't that great and it is super expensive. read more

I have been going here for 2 years and have felt a continued decline. The hygienists that perform the cleaning are completely lacking in service. The constant pressure of add ins make it feel like a cheap used car lot. They make everything feel like an inconvenience. read more

The cleaning services were great and I was impressed after my first two bi-annual visits. Since I had gotten my two cleanings, I could then get a teeth whitening service for free. The teeth whitening service was similar to what I have gotten before. However, the results were not what I expected/wanted. I had taken a before picture before I had gone in to compare how my teeth would look after the whitening. The after picture hardly had any differences and I asked several people if they noticed a difference either. This was disappointing since I had experienced quite a bit of pain for little to no effect. It's great that whitening is given as a free service to show appreciation for loyalty, but I can't say I'm going to get whitening services again through them. read more

As everyone has said no one LIKES going to the dentist but FLOSS made it an awesome experience. I had not been to the dentist about 7 years so I was extra scared my mouth was atrocious but Dr. Joseph Ayitey-Adjin was so nice and funny. Love this place! The staff was very, very friendly. We were seen promptly, which is a huge plus. Highly technological. The initial x-rays are super cool! Not only can you see the film, but you can see inside of your mouth tooth by tooth in HD! It's the coolest thing I've seen in dentistry in such a long time!! The dentist and the hygienist were both professional and informative. The cleaning was thorough, yet gentile. The tech who greeted me and took my x-rays was very courteous. I love this place. They're punctual, always incredibly friendly, give great samples and are generally just very organized and efficient. The dentists are also very knowledgable and personal. I never feel like they're finding "issues" that aren't really there - I've never felt I needed to get a second opinion. I got retainers there recently, and they MAJORLY discounted the prices for me. About 6 months or so later, one of them broke, and they replaced it - no questions asked - FOR FREE. Also, you get free Zoom whitening once a year. What's not to love about this place?! read more
