    Mushroom burger
    Audrey T.

Stopped by for a Monty mushroom burger with my mom and brother. It's a nostalgic spot but service was really slow... took 15 minutes to flag down our server to order. We ordered hot wings and zoo sticks to share, and I got the mushroom burger with fries. Hot wings were saucy and zoo sticks were delicious and crispy. Burger was good as well. Filling meal, but took forever to flag our server down for the bill. Oh, the non alcoholic bottomless drinks were pretty good for $5 as well! The strawberry lemonade tastes exactly like red robins freckled lemonade. The mango iced tea was really delicious, I would recommend that one!

Today was another delicious visit to White Spot Gilmore !!! The service offered by Melina the manager and our lovely waitress Afsha was remarkable impecable . They treated us, party of 3, nicely and with courtesy. The culinary is so delicious, and we could not wait to take some pictures.... We were so hungry in front of delicious food, also the cocktails and the deserts were exquisite . Been close to this restaurant it is very convenient to visit it frequently!! We loved it !!

This is one of the busier whitespots. Despite this, the staff is always happy and chatty. Also, this is one of the last few Whitespots that offer car service. Nostalgia at its best. The parking lot is a good size. Restaurant is generally clean and tidy. The food is always solid. And if by an off chance that it isn't, they are quick to make it right.

It was our first time here for lunch at the 'test kitchen' & what a tasty experience! In addition to their regular White Spot favourites, they offer a good selection of 'test kitchen' items. We ordered the steelhead burger wrapped in lettuce instead of the bun. Nice portion of fish & cooked to perfection! I tried their newer salad - celery and carrot ribbons with greens, cashews, edamame with sherry vinaigrette. The other order was the classic mushroom burger which was also delish. (Both dishes rate 5/5). Our server Meghan was excellent (5/5). Often checking on us and even gave us a sample of the Gochujang sauce to try. Ambiance rates 5/5 - nice décor. Prices were on par with other places. They're located on one side of the food court located in Brentwood Mall. We were told that every few months, the kitchen will add some new items. Looking forward to visiting here again to get my White Spot fix.

Bacon Bigger Better Burger with fries

Saturday afternoon. Not too busy. We were the 2nd party of 2 at the door. We waited 10mins at the front desk for the greeter to acknowledge we were standing there. There were several tables available and all three parties were seated right away. Server was friendly. Attentive. I was there for the Avocado Impossible burger, but they were out of avocado. I ordered the Monty Mushroom burger w/ Spot salad. My date had a Bacon Better Burger with fries and a coke. The burgers were good. The meat was slightly pink in the middle. Their prices have increased. Our meal was just under $50 plus tip. The visit started off on a low with the frustrating wait at the door, but the server was cool and the food good.

    Cauliflower bites. Only 6 pieces?

This location is always busy. It is dark inside. It can get pretty noisy when it is packed. The servers are friendly and good at keeping track of orders. The food is typical white spot standard. I do love the milkshake and zucchini fries. Skip the cauliflower bites which only had 6 pieces for like $10. Burger is good too. There is a parking lot with the first row reserved for curbside pick up or something.

    Car Hop Service

A New Experience: Car Hop Service This my FIRST time trying out the White Spot Car Hop Service. I wanted to try the car hop service just because for my experience and to let my fellow yelpers know my experience. The dine-in service is available, but wanted to try this new experience to eat from the car with service. I thought to myself, do they serve the food on a 2 x 4 wood or something, and to my surprise, it was a rectangular metal tray with extensions that sits on the grooves of the window gap for stability. A genius idea for those like that choose to eat from the car instead of take-out or dine-in. I ordered the Westcoast Salmon Burger and Poutine. The Salmon was delicious, tender soft. I did my best to lessen the messiness from eating in the car. The poutine was yummy that I was quite full to finish and packed to take home a portion because I had eaten a meal awhile ago. I recommend the car hop service for a new experience but do check which locations because not all White Spot locations do the car hop service. Best to check before going to the location.

Short rib burger. Short rib meat piled on top of a beef patty. $20 - excellent value and tasty!

It's good to have a White Spot to go to when you and your friends can't decide what you want. Comfy decor and booths with privacy panels make for a safe dining experience.

Contaminated food- this was what came out from vomiting.. sorry this is gross!

If I can give zero stars, I will with no hesitation. This restaurant is one of the worst places to eat. It gave me a really bad stomach ache immediately after leaving the restaurant. I don't know what I put in the food that I was in so much pain. Resulting from dirty contaminated food. Food order: power salad with wild salmon, Gruyère wild mushroom bread. after getting home- painful stomached, chills, fever, nausea. Etc 2.5 hours later- threw up everything I ate. $50 of food and drinks . White spot staffs/ Please clean your food carefully the next time you serve your customers. The food poisoning experience is super painful!

I love their improved hashbrowns called smashbrowns! It's been years since the last time I ate at WhiteSpot. I must say the smashbrowns are the star on this breakfast plate. Their hash browns used to be shredded like potato hash which was very sloppy and greasy. You can order another side of smashbrowns with no extra charge.

Parked at the closest spot and got ignored!

Waited at the dine in car spot for 15 minutes and no one take out order at all. Simply tell us the drive-in dinning and White Spot is out-dated! Will not come back anymore!

Decent quality, but honestly nothing really stuck out, especially for the price. This place isn't cheap. Maybe I'll try another dish at some point.

It is also a fantastic spot to work if you wanna have a café setting because their pastries and bake goods are absolutely fantastic. In fact last year for Christmas, we bought one of their Christmas cake options which proved to be super popular with the family. What I love about this location is the decor. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. If you are going to be there on the weekend arrive before 9 AM. People start lining up at 10 to 15 minutes before the store officially opens. Plus I find is easier to take the street parking rather than playing with Faith trying to back out with customers who are not paying attention.

The fruit was actually a good portion and decent selection of blueberries, strawberries, banana and grapes. A couple of very small overripe pieces of kiwi were thrown in but I've seen worse for a kids meal. Food came out after a short wait. Missing from the plates was butter for the toast and waffles, so I'm not sure if they don't usually provide it or they forgot it. The over-easy eggs were more over-medium and the potatoes tasted a bit off to me, but I was full anyway, so I just left them. The restaurant was a bit cold so we ate with our coats on for most of the time. Would be nice if they raised the temperature by 1-2 degrees so it's more comfortable on colder days. Service was mostly ok but our server asked us when we were still halfway through our meals if we wanted anything else and when we said we were good, she did not come back until we flagged her down for the bill. Maybe she was new, but servers should still check on customers for refills of coffee, hot water for tea, etc. Coffee is $3.25 and I did not get a refill due to the disappearing server, so it was quite pricey for one small cup. The meals were ok but for the price, I'd sooner go elsewhere for a better overall experience.

Included is a Summer Corn salad, choice of entree, and daily dessert. I made a reservation for my Mom and I for Wednesday evening at 7pm and the restaurant was quite empty though golf course was buzzing. Pro tip: There is free parking in front of the restaurant but it's also for the golf course and is pretty busy even on a Wednesday after 7pm so plan accordingly as street parking is a bit far away. We ordered the mussels as an additional appetizer in white wine broth and also each ordered the $45 menu. We both selected the Oven Roasted Beef Striploin and for dessert there was a choice of cheesecake with caramel sauce, cinnamon cheesecake, and black forest cake. My Mom chose the black forest cake and I ordered the cinnamon cheesecake. The mussels appetizer dish was quite generous in quantity for $23 and mussels were a good size. Served with 2 slices of toast, the white wine sauce was more watery than other places but still decent. For the $45 course, the Summer Corn salad comes with artisan greens, feta, carrot, radish, tomato, red onion, orange vinaigrette. This was a refreshing light start to the meal and we both really enjoyed it. For the slow roasted beef striploin, it was served with asparagus and bell peppers, mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and a red wine demi. The beef striploin was lean but not tough and was super trendy and juicy. Yorkshire pudding, which I'm usually not a fan of, was really warm and soft. Overall, a really solid dish that was generous in portion. Dessert was also solid for both the cinnamon cheesecake and black forest cake. We barely finished the dessert and both of us had leftovers of our entree to take home as we couldn't finish our food. Great value for a 3 course $45 meal for today's economy and the service was really friendly and warm.

The restaurant itself is moderately sized, but they were able to accommodate our party of 12. Restaurant was very dimly lit; most of the light was coming from the setting sun. The menu had as many choices as a typical White Spot. Prices were reasonable, but entrees could be upgraded which could cause prices to escalate if you weren't prudent. For example, I ordered the steak but got the lobster upgrade which raised the price by 30%. And, it was the lower-grade Caribbean lobster instead of the much juicier Atlantic lobster. It took a long time for the food to begin arriving. But, we did have a larger party that night. But, after a long wait, all our food arrived almost all at once. Presentation was good, and portion size was adequate. My steak was medium rare even though I had requested rare. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, and a few were unable to finish their food. Service was only okay. If they weren't taking your order or delivering your food, you didn't see much of the staff. And, the restaurant wasn't exactly busy either. We did ask a server to take a group photo of our table, and they happily obliged. I'd skip the round of golf and go straight to the restaurant.
