Please avoid using this company. Similar to recent reviews, we had a wedding in June. The day of the wedding they called me to tell me that the Mercedes limo I booked was in the repair shop and they were sending a different limo. They sent a Chrysler 300 limo instead. Upon arrival the driver then asked me to confirm my payment from months ago. I had no reason to keep that on me so she said she would confirm with her supervisor. So I spent the car ride looking back through all of my emails just to prove I paid for the ride in full months ago. Just like other recent reviews, this limo had the poorest functioning A/C system in the world. I wish I could say the interior was a decent temperature, but it was not. There was air coming from the vents, but it certainly was not cold enough. We confirmed with the driver that it was on the max settings. First myself and my groomsman then my bride and the bridesmaids were sweating from the interior heat. The ride was incredibly uncomfortable and the girl's hair and makeup was coming undone from the heat. Nothing has been done by the company to even try to make the situation better. read more

DO NOT book with this company. I used them because they were a preferred vendor at my venue and regret it. When planning there were a few changes to my pick up and drop off locations and times. When I would call to let the company know (spoke with Maritiza) the wrong, "changed'' itineraries were sent back to me a few times. This just added unnecessary stress and steps to wedding planning and makes the company look incredibly unprofessional and incompetent. I was nervous they would not show up to be honest. I was told the week before the wedding I would receive a phone call to confirm my party bus and itinerary; I called them the week of my wedding after not hearing from them to confirm. The party bus showed up, but without working air conditioning in June. Why they would even send a bus without AC blows my mind, but I guess they didn't care because they had the full payment. The bus driver said they could swap it out; apparently someone in the first pickup told the bus driver it was fine and to just get to the church, being we were on a schedule. The bus then came to pick us up. The heat in the bus made the ride incredibly uncomfortable, made my hair drop, and melted my makeup, both of which I paid a lot of money for. The ride from the church to the venue was the same, uncomfortable and sweaty for 20 people. I understand someone said "it's fine," but that someone was not the person who paid for the limo and whose name was on the contract (me). The company should have asked ME to ask what I wanted to happen, not the "groom's brother," as Gill told me. Weddings are on a time schedule, making it hard to swap out a party bus. Again, the bus should not have even been sent without working AC. I delegated to my mother to call the company and ask for a partial refund. Gill, who she spoke to, argued with her and finally said they can't do a refund but offered a ride credit. I called a couple days later and received an attitude, but was ultimately told I would get a ride credit to the airport. I sent in my information on 6/8, and a week later I am still waiting on confirmation after being told it would be taken care of. When I called back two days ago to follow up, Gill said someone called since we had spoken, my mom or the groom's mom, and they said they wanted $100 back and not the ride. This conversation never happened, and he originally told my mom no refunds. They could send me a confirmation contract minutes after booking the party bus, but it takes weeks to get confirmation for a car to the airport that is comped? It is just ridiculous. If you are going to try to give your customers the run around at least try to show some level of intelligence so it is not so painfully obvious you are not competent and people can see right through your ploy. This company has four complaints with the better business bureau over the last two years. I suggest if they try to scam you out of your money you report them too. I let her know that the invoice attached had the wrong event date and that I needed to confirm the vehicle we reserved was still available. She told me that she couldn't find our reservation in the system and that she would speak to Bob to see if he had any record of it. I never got a call back. I tried to get in touch last week and Maritza told me the same thing. She would give the message to Bob and have him call me back. I never got a call back. Today, I spoke to Martiza again and she STILL could not find our reservation in your system even though they charged my credit card well over a year ago and their office sent an invoice in 2021. Martiza finally called me back with a story that the reservation was in their old system and now they have a new system. I'm not sure what kind of nonsense they're used to feeding people but I don't believe that for a second. If there really was an old system new system issue why wouldn't she have mentioned that during our first call? It sounds like you're trying to cover up your tracks by lying to us. Now they won't give us a refund but we are very glad we cancelled them before our big day from all of the other horror stories customers have shared. read more

White Star Limo: Overpromise, Under-Deliver, Bad Service, and Big Disappointment! I contacted White Star Limo for their services for my wedding. We reserved an Antique Princess Rolls Royce months in advance before the big day. Literally hours before our wedding day we received a call from White Star Limo informing us the car we reserved has broken down and they can not give us the car we requested, but they did have an Antique Cadillac they can provide. So, we had no choice but to go with a car we did not want. We were promised a car we requested, that did not happen! We were promised a red carpet for the car, that did not happen! We were promised a beautiful car and nice interior, that did not happen! The interior of the car had stains everywhere. When we got inside the car we were hit with a strong odor of sweat. We were promised a working air conditioner, that did not happen! Mind you it was 95 degrees outside on our wedding day, we were stuck inside this car in traffic for almost 2 hours without a working air conditioner! We were promised to get to all our destinations on time, that did not happen! The driver got lost and took the wrong direction, we ended up on a 30 minute detour. It got so bad that our photographer who was in another car, had to come and pick us up in his car. So we had to abandon the car that we paid for because of the unbearable heat and incompetence of the driver. We had to send our driver home 2 hours earlier, because we did not want to get back in the car. The next day we called White Star Limo to explain our frustration and see if we can get our money back. We paid $1200 for what is essentially 2 hours of very bad service. They offered us $300 back, but with a big condition - if we sign a legal document stating we will not write a bad review about them. Well, you know which decision I made. Do Not spend your hard earned money on these guys, they are un-ethical, shady, liars and will con you out of your money. WARNING.... WARNING.... WARNING!!!! IF YOU WANT YOUR SPECIAL DAY TO BE AMAZING, DO NOT AND I MUST REPEAT.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR PLANS. To start off, we ordered one stretch limo and a 1939 RR. The original stretch we ordered, we didn't receive. They sent us something totally different, which had no AC on an 85° day. The 1939 RR was NOT restored in any way, shape or fashion. The rusty was perfectly clear (totally unfit for any bride) and the interior was HORRIBLE! EVERYTHING from the upholstery to the door handles was disgusting. The driver for the RR was totally disrespectful, rude and impolite. He came a little more than an hour early, left the RR idling for so long that it shut off and wouldn't turn back on. When it was time for us to leave for our wedding destination, his attitude was as if it was our fault that the RR was no longer working. He had the audacity to tell me that my wife was going to have to ride with the rest of the wedding party and myself in the stretch limo. So I told him "she can't ride with us because I'm not supposed to see her" and his reply was "Well, then I don't know how she's gonna get to the wedding". Once the RR finally started up again, he didn't want to go around to pick my wife up at the hotel entrance, so she had to walk to the car about 20 feet away, which got the bottom of her dress wet because of the rain earlier. Then to top it all off, on the way to the wedding location, as the RR made a left turn, the BACK right side passenger door LITERALLY FLIES OPEN!!! My wife and daughter had to grab hold of what they could until the turn was finished. After the turn, as my wife is screaming "the door is open" the chauffer kept driving a whole block before he decided to pull over and close the door back. He didn't even ask if they were okay or anything! He just got back I'm the car and kept driving as if nothing had happened. THEN ON TOP OF THAT.... At the wedding location, they were supposed to take pictures with the RR, but was rushed by the chauffer so he could tend to another pick up. So.... The very next day, we gave them a call with a list of the complaints. First, they tried to bribe us with a limo ride to the airport for when we were leaving for our honeymoon. We didn't take the offer because we didn't EVER want any services from them again because of the first experience. Then we were offered a compensation of $100 for the disasters. We agreed to it because it was fair. They asked for our address to mail us a check. We waited and waited for it and it never came. So we called them again and again. They gave us the run around, then said they were not going to give us back the $100 compensation and tried to justify why things happened that shouldn't have on our wedding day. VERY VERY BAD BUSINESS!!! So like I said in the beginning, IF YOU WANT YOUR SPECIAL DAY TO BE AMAZING, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Save yourself the aggravation and disappointment. read more

No Air Conditioning and it was sweltering in the bus, the whole bus smelled like fumes, and it was SO loud and uncomfortable while driving. It was disgusting. DO NOT USE!!! They ruined my wedding day! If I could give negative starts I would. Our wedding was early October; at a private home so we set up secondary parking at a near by parking lot. We paid for two shuttle busses to take our guests at 5:30 from the parking lot to our reception then again at the end of the night to shuttle guests back. We find out that the shuttle buses "broke down" they sent two stretch limos instead- TO SMALL to shuttle 150 guests and the company was completely unresponsive when we were calling throughout the day for help. THEN at the end of the night instead of sending 2 shuttle buses they sent ONE LIMO! my guests were forced to take ubers. THEN- the next week when i tried to call; Maritzia the assistant manager is fighting with us telling us its our fault and the manager and owner know about the situation but will do nothing to help us because its our fault. Our contracts all say two shuttle busses for 5:30 and two shuttle buses for 10:30 and we got neither. DO NOT USe!!!! read more

This place is a joke.. ruined my wedding ceremony.. from start to finish working with these people was an awful experience.. they didn't meet the contract requirements by any means.. firstly, they were suppose to send a rolls Royce for myself and now husband for us to go home in after our ceremony.. we come to find out less then 24 hours prior that they couldn't honor that and the only reason we found out is because we called THEM.. they gave us the run around and handled the whole situation unprofessionally but okay fine.. we let it go.. the next day (wedding day) the limo scheduled to take me to my ceremony was "smoking" and no one came to replace the limo I just had to figure out a way to get to the church.. had to scramble to find a way to get there and wound up being stuffed in the backseat of my friends car in my gown.. so glamours lol.. but in all seriousness this really made the whole day so frantic and we all wound up trying to find a way to the church that we forgot the bouquets at home.. if this company had any decency they would refund 100% of the money but they didn't do that.. they kept 60%!!! White Star Limo of New Hyde Park is the trashiest of trash of limousine services. If you want to ruin your wedding night, book them! Maritza their front desk is sweet, but forgetful. Finally, when she booked us our limos, with the right pricing, on wedding night our shuttle bus came a half hour early, and then tried to charge us for that time. I believe his name was Tony who was very rude to us the entire time. Even when I called to discuss these issues that I will be explaining here, Bob kept passing me off and saying that someone would call me and finally Tony called me back after many calls to them, and he continued to raise his voice to tell me that I should have been charged more because HE WAS EARLY....and that he can't do anything regarding the other issues that happened that night. I tried to give them the choice to do things right but they chose to do nothing and treat me like the garbage they are. Here's what happened: The limo driver (Tony) didn't know where the venue was. He asked my husband, as my husband was saw him pass the hotel he was picked up at a half hour earlier! The hotel to the venue was only 20 minutes away...and he blamed it on an accident...meanwhile it took my husband and his groomsmen an hour and fifteen minutes to get to the venue, and my guests at the hotel never got the shuttle. I HAD TO TEXT MY GUESTS IN MY WEDDING GOWN TO DRIVE THEMSELVES TO THE VENUE, and they all got there before my husband did...like in 20 minutes. Perhaps, the shuttle couldn't take certain roads...maybeee...but you're a limo driver...THAT LITERALLY IS YOUR JOB, TO GET TO PLACES IN AN ORDERLY FASHION. So, my husband missed pictures before the ceremony....thanks to this idiot. Also, when the reception was over, we were supposed to take nice pictures in front of the limo that we ordered to pick us up, which was a Mercedes S550, with a jet door...AND WE GOT AN OLD STRETCH LIMO INFINITY PIECE OF SHIT, which Tony claimed was an upgrade. I literally almost puked inside the vehicle because it smelled like exhaust. They claimed the car we booked "was held up at another venue." I think they don't even own the car. I should have listened to the bad reviews online that their fleet is old and not maintained...because it literally is trash. When I called them to complain and ask if they could do anything about this...the owner kept passing the buck to Tony, and when he finally called, he was rude, kept defending himself, and telling me he told my husband to tell me not to get upset because he did us a favor by waiting for the reception to be over to pick us up. Is he out of his mind? What was my husband supposed to do on his wedding night? Fight with this guy!? Also, he raised his voice and wouldn't let me speak on the phone. Finally, when I got angry and raised my voice back and said that he better figure it out otherwise I will write them a one star review, everywhere, plus in the brides of Long Island group, he finally calmed down and he claimed he will call me in a few days with a solution. Did he call? NO. My wedding was in December 2020, I called them in January 2021, and now it's March 2021. They should be ashamed of themselves. So he showed me a picture on his phone with another limo which made me a little nervous. He answered all our questions and was honest about everything....I choose the Chrysler stretch limo with jet doors(the doors that open up to the sky) for my daughters prom.....the limo was on time, clean, with cold refreshments.....they also had each parent sign a prom pledge(that had all the rules and parents had to put their contact info on it) which I thought was a nice touch and made me feel more confident in choosing this limo company for their services...I felt they are safe and very responsible and they were....the kids had the limo for 10 hours and had a blast! Josh the driver was also very friendly and understanding(we were waiting for one person who was running late) he was very patient and mingled with the other ppl waiting.....Driver gets 5 stars too lol!! I booked a party bus for 20 people for a winery tour for my birthday. This included lunch, 3 wineries and 5 tastings at each winery. I booked with Bob who was amazing from start to finish. The day of the trip, I had 4 people drop out at the last minute. I didn't know what to do because that's a lot of people for me to pay for. After speaking back and forth with bob, he told us not to worry about additional fees due to people dropping out, and to just take care of his driver. I could not believe how accommodating and kind he was, after all we breached contract, and had all these extra sandwiches we ordered. When she told me about , I decide to Google them and saw their review on both Google and Yelp . Some of the issues are tardiness, no air conditioner and the customer service .
