Some stayed close and explored Whitefish, while others enjoyed the day going to GNP. The best part was sharing the beginning and end of each day preparing and eating our meals in the fabulous kitchen/dining room. With the massive island, industrial walk-in fridge and restaurant style dishwasher, prep and clean up was a breeze. Shayla, our host, texted us ahead of time to make sure we were all set for a smooth check-in. That small gesture alone made us feel genuinely cared for. Each day, Shayla prepared the most delicious homemade baked goods, which made us feel like we were at a home away from home. Since we planned to head to Glacier National Park early each day, she kindly packed to-go breakfasts for us--always thoughtful, fresh, and satisfying. On the mornings we stayed in, she served beautiful homemade breakfasts that were just as delicious. The extra touches throughout the lodge made our stay even more special--the self-serve charcuterie, fresh fruit, and beverages were such a nice bonus. The lodge itself was peaceful and quiet, which we really appreciated. We stayed for five nights and can confidently say this was one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. As we stepped through the front door, we were greeted by a garden full of blooming peonies--such a lovely and welcoming touch. The house was immaculate, and everything was clearly labeled with helpful instructions. Whether you were heading out for a day in Glacier National Park or relaxing at the lodge, anything you could need was available--maps, bear spray, sunscreen, coolers, even wine and snacks for the trail. There were also cool drinks, water, and freshly baked goods waiting for us each evening--such thoughtful hospitality. Our bedroom was not the largest room in the lodge, but very comfortable. After long hikes in the park, we looked forward to soaking in the hot tub each evening. The backyard had BBQs, lawn games, and picnic tables--it would be a perfect place for a family reunion or even a small wedding. Kayla, our hostess, couldn't have been more helpful. She was warm, engaging, and full of great suggestions for exploring Glacier. She and her coworker Meghan prepared the most delicious breakfasts each morning--beautifully presented and thoughtfully tailored to our dietary needs. This place is truly a treasure. The owners are lucky to have Kayla and Meghan running the lodge with such heart and care. If you're visiting Whitefish, I highly recommend staying at Good Medicine Lodge.

And the breakfast changes daily and super delicious! They also provide trail bars, fruits , yogurt and assortment of cakes, breads, cereals and even almond milk. Amanda makes the perfect well-timed hard-boiled eggs! She also went the extra miles to help us in our trip. We were so comfortable I didn't want to leave! Its a bit out of the way in Kalispell between farms, with narrow/tricky streets to contend with. It was a good 15-20 minutes from most of what Kalispell has to offer (Walmart/Shopping/Etc...) and about 35-40 minutes from the entrance to West Glacier. Pro's: 1) One of the cheapest options in Kalispell. 2) Good amount of kids for our boys to play with. 3) Quiet in the back where our site was located. 4) You can wash your RV & Truck!!! Rare these days 5) TMobile was fast enough we didn't need to get out the Starlink. Neutral: 1) Staff was cordial, but I wouldn't say friendly. Had mail sent here (we asked prior and was given the ok). When we went to pick it up, the lady at the front desk told us she was lucky she didn't throw it out as they normally don't accept mail. Packages (Amazon, etc....) are fine but I guess standard mail isn't? 2) Playground is *meh*. Metal slide, so avoid on hot days. Boys mostly played around the swimming pond. Con's: 1) Our particular site was quite muddy, as it rained quite a bit. Others didn't seem as bad. They need to add more gravel to the rear, larger sites. 2) The park has "Seasonal" sites to the side, and double wide trailers (permanent I assume), along with storage facilities and finally the RV park with some cabins built on site. The seasonal area was *rough*. Most of the campers were old & dilapidated with trash and random stuff strewn around. The double wides area were a bit better. Both brought down the feel of this RV park. 3) Trash can's at the rear were overflowing and piling up outside and around. 4) Tree placement on the pull throughs was not ideal. Instead of being able to pull through and go with the flow of traffic, we had to kindly ask our neighbor if they could move their truck so we could pull out and go against the grain so we didn't scrape up the side & roof of our rig. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again. We'd stay closer to Glacier, down in Polson, or somewhere up near Whitefish. We camped at Rocky Mountain Hi RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I also enjoy most anything else. You can not go wrong on their beer. Solid choices. I would say Blackstar has one of the best if not best burgers in the valley. The pizza sandwiches when they have them are excellent. My kids love the pizza and I do too. The chicken sandwich is also a solid hit. You will go up the line to order or use the QR code at the table to order. Some things come out sooner than others but the runner do a good job of getting what you need. The second floor is a great spot to hang especially in the summer the mid level tap bar is open. The best is the top floor and deck. It's a hidden gem.
