Our experience with Whiteflash was exceptional! Hands down, the best diamond vendor around. I have had a few Whiteflash A Cut Above ACA diamonds now, and they out perform any others. I have a smaller half carat necklace that I wear everyday and my engagement ring from WF. My ACA e-ring is currently 2+ carats. I upgraded my e-ring with them recently and have made great use of their upgrade policy and will continue to make good use of their generous (and easy!) upgrade policy *wink wink. More recently, I switched my rep to Liza. It's important to have a rep that just totally gets you! Liza is a true asset to the Whiteflash team. I love my Whiteflash ring! In late November 2022, I received my 5-Stone Trellis Diamond Right Hand Ring in 14k yellow gold with five VS1-VS2 H 0.4 ct each (2 ctw) A Cut Above (ACA) diamonds. The ACA diamonds are very sparkly and fiery--the Super Ideal cut makes a real impact! Liza Horowitz Veazey helped me to create it, and her expertise, kind guidance, attention to detail, and responsiveness made for an all around smooth and great experience! I don't know much about diamonds, but I did my homework. After reading around online and looking at other diamond retailers, Whiteflash was the clear choice. Whiteflash's reviews (from customers and third parties), depth of information provided about their diamonds on their site, and policies made me feel comfortable deciding to buy from them. The Lifetime Trade Up Guarantee was one of the main factors in this decision. It allows you to simply trade up any natural diamond purchased from one of Whiteflash's three in-house categories (of which ACA is one). This gave me peace of mind about buying the stones because I know I'll want to trade up in the future and like that I'll be able to choose freely from the ACA category again. After deciding on a ring style, and budget, I contacted them via the chat feature on their website and was helped by Liza. After asking some questions, she showed me two sets of diamonds from the A Cut Above category, both beautiful, one in a slightly higher color grade (F-G), and one slightly lower (H). She also helped with my semi-custom order for the Trellis 5-stone band to be cast in 14k gold (only 18k can be selected on the website). Liza helped me with all my questions, was very responsive, and kept me updated. I appreciated that she looked after every detail to make sure the ring would be just what I wanted! One thing I worried about when I first started looking at diamonds, before contacting Whiteflash, was being upsold. Happily, that was not the case at all! At no time did I feel pressured. After discussing with Liza, I went with the H color diamonds because they would be beautiful and work just fine with the warm color, yellow gold setting. The ring even came in under budget! Found a hidden gem in the sugarland area. If you plan on buying an engagement or wedding ring, this is the place to go. There's no pressure when shopping here. The sales people just sit down with you and explain the different specs on a diamond or metal. It's very informative and educational actually. You then choose a budget, physically look at a few diamonds, and choose what you want. They don't try to up-sale you or pressure you into buying (which is very nice). I had a wonderful experience with Whiteflash from beginning to end. I upgraded my engagement ring and had considered a few other online, big vendors before deciding to go with Whiteflash because of their upgrade policies and because I saw a couple of diamonds I loved. I narrowed down my searches to two diamonds and a three or four settings. Brittany was wonderful. She went above and beyond sending additional pictures and videos of the diamonds side-by-side and went so far as to send me a picture of two settings I liked on her finger so I could tell which one to pick. Once I got the ring I noticed that the crown was not set perfectly. I'm incredibly shocked and disappointed by my first experience with Whiteflash. I brought my Verragio ring in to have some repairs done as they are an authorized Verragio retailer, and the ring that was returned to me looks nothing like my original setting. Initially, I couldn't do anything but cry. They destroyed my ring. They cut my prongs and lowered my diamond down into my halo rather than having it sit above it as designed. It looks nothing like its original design. It was not even on the list of things on the invoice I was provided, to address for Whiteflash to fix. Also, there was no communication from Whiteflash that there was a need to alter the prongs and diamond. This was not something I approved and they took the liberty of making the decision to drastically alter the setting of my ring without my permission. I'm so heartbroken that my ring, the ring my husband and I picked to signify the beginning of our life together has been altered so drastically and without my approval. After I had some time to process the damage, I called again today and spoke to Vera Wages in customer relations. When speaking with her today I learned that they don't even have the exact specifications of my setting from Verragio. They were literally eyeballing it from pictures that I provided, with a ring worth more than ten thousand dollars; abject horror doesn't begin to express my emotions right now. Maybe that's not a lot of money to them but it sure is to us! They made me feel like a fool for even being upset. To summarize, they took apart my ring knowing they'd not be able to put it back together and have it look as it did originally. It's been perfectly maintained for the entire ten years I've had it and now it looks like a completely different ring, and not the ring I fell in love with. I'm devastated. Beyond devastated, really. The worst part? When I finally spoke to their Vice President Bryan Boyne, the only options he gave me were to allow them to repair it again and attempt to make it look like the setting was originally designed going off nothing but photos I supply, or they could just not charge me, and we could "part on amicable terms." When I arrived at Whiteflash today, I requested they send it back to Verragio so Verragio could do the repairs to Whiteflash's damage, they outright refused and told me I'd already been given my options and I needed to pick one. As I don't trust them to do anything else with my ring, I left and now have to send my ring to Verragio through a different distributor so they can assist me directly in the repairs, as Whiteflash is refusing to help in any way other than not charging me for the damage they caused. To say I'm shocked is an understatement. I can't believe the damage they've done to such an expensive piece of jewelry and with no compassion for the heartbreak they've also caused. I really expected better from what is supposed to be a rather high end jeweler. Please spare yourself the heartache of shopping here for meaningful pieces of jewelry. While they may have some lovely pieces, their customer service leaves me aghast. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a company so unwilling to rectify a mistake or take responsibility for their actions, especially with such a high-value piece of property. Whiteflash actually was not the first place I shopped at. I had gone to DCI also located in Houston but the pricing was so bad that I had to look elsewhere. Some online searching led me to Whiteflash. I really liked that they offered actual prices online because I could compare to places like Blue Nile and Brilliance. The prices were relatively comparable but here I could see the stone in person. Happy with the transparency, I decided to make an appointment and visit in person. I worked with Brittany on both stone selection and custom settings. Brittany was extremely helpful in helping both me and my girlfriend design the exact settings we wanted as well as giving us solid options for stones (you can select a specific one online and they'll find additional ones to compare to for reference). She even referred me options on how to get value out of an ex's engagement ring. I worked with Evan on the actual design of the rings and he was on point on the result. He was able to handle any questions I had about the process from end to end and was able to understand all my design requests. I think where Whiteflash has stood out is how they were able to deliver during COVID-19. The whole team, Brittany, Evan, Vera, (unnamed jeweler masters), was able to work with me remotely and I ultimately got the rings much sooner than expected at an amazing price. The rings themselves look gorgeous. They look exactly how I imagined in every form. The ACA diamond is legit. For just a little more than we were about to spend with James Allen, we received a Whiteflash "A Cut Above" diamond that simply lights up with fire and brilliance in every type of lighting. Not only is the quality of the diamond fantastic, but the shopping process was lovely. Unlike some competitors, Whiteflash has ASET and Idealscope imaging displayed for all their in-house diamonds. Once we had selected our diamond, we chatted with Becca to review the details of our order and proceed with checkout. Prior to receiving the diamond, Whiteflash representatives kept in touch with us, letting us know the status of our order and offering any help we might need. The order arrived on time, packaged better than I have ever seen a FedEx shipment packaged. I had a particular design in mind for a wedding set and honestly thought that having it custom made wasn't going to be affordable (split shank with matching wedding band), but Whiteflash proved me wrong. On a whim, I sent a custom design inquiry along with my target budget and within hours, Vera got in touch and helped with picking out the diamond (chose an ACA diamond!) and then forwarded my specs to the design team. Working with the design team was painless experience; I worked with Leon to hammer out the finer details of the design then I was given my estimate. I was surprised because not only was the estimate more affordable than the original ring that inspired the design, but the diamond melee had more carats and the ring had small custom touches that made it unique to us! A little over a week later, I had the CAD drawings for my design and gave the go ahead for production! I bought a pair of earrings here and while the earrings are great, the customer service here leaves a lot to be desired when spending almost $3000. The earrings that I wanted to buy my wife were not available in-store and had to be made. I was told by the sales-person "Brittany" that I could order them online at home. My heart sank a little. I drove all this way and then I'm rushed out the door. First strike. I said no, I'd rather order them while I'm here. So the girl gives me a look and then acts like she's walking me through something that I should be doing myself... like she's tying my shoes for me or something. The earrings take 2 weeks to make and were ready to pick up on the date promised. I was contacted by email and asked when I would be coming by to pick up the earrings. Whiteflash is a wonderful company. I got the Dreams of Africa pendant for my sister, as a congratulations for finishing her first half marathon. I picked the white gold with one pink sapphire and two diamonds. I had questions about how big it really is, they sent me photos. And then I was asked why I picked that piece, and I told them about my sister, which ended up with everybody getting warm fuzzies as I told them her story of being overweight and sedentary to a healthy rockstar marathoner. Which THEN led to them featuring my sister on their facebook blog, very cool! The service was extraordinary, the communication fantastic, they attended to every detail, it arrived on the day they said it would, in the manner in which they said. I had to pick it up at Fed Ex, and it was packaged in 4 different boxes for safety and security, plus the pretty jewelery box that came with it. The pendant itself is small, delicate, and so incredibly shiny and sparkly! I seriously thought twice about keeping it for myself, but that would be selfish, although completely understandable. It was well made, and I felt good buying it knowing the proceeds go to helping children in Africa. Whiteflash is a great company. Sure, they aren't the cheapest of all retailers, but it's because they have outstanding products with fine workmanship and incredibly warm, personable, helpful service. I can only imagine what buying a super big purchase, like an engagement ring, would be like, because they treated my small purchase like it was the most important one of the day. After reading a friend's review of Whiteflash, I cannot believe I have not written a review for them - my fecklessness in inexcusable! I was introduced to Whiteflash years ago when I was on a diamond forum. I wanted to set a diamond that my Mother gave me and when I did research on what vendor was the best, people were singing Whiteflash's praises. I took a chance and never looked back. Whiteflash did many projects for me ranging from diamond pendants/rings/pearls/earrings. They are my go to place for jewelry and I have recommended all of my friends to them, several have used them for their engagement and wedding rings. Unless you're a label whore who has to have a ring from Tiffany or Cartier, why pay more for their overhead which includes insurance, lighting and the guy who opens the door for you at their boutique? Their prices are reasonable and if something isn't going to work with your vision they are honest about it. The quality and service that they provide is top notch and the people I work with are rockstars. For women who are interested in jewelry for themselves, go ahead and buy from them. I had such an amazing experience purchasing from Whiteflash in 2008, it was disheartening to me that their excellent customer service wasn't extended to me this year. While my marriage didn't last, we do have two amazing daughters. Their father and I thought it would be amazing if Whiteflash would allow us to use the value of our stone in trade for two new stones that we could give each of our girls, particularly in light of their "Lifetime Trade Up Guarentee" (advertised as one of the most accommodating in the industry). We realize the trade up policy specifies "one" stone of equal or greater value; however, we thought they would value returning customers and quality service more. We were wrong. Families these days are comprised of so many different shapes and sizes, it would be great for Whiteflash policies to reflect these families, and be more inclusive to an ever changing world. The traditional heteronormative young couple getting engaged and upgrading stones every 5 years is just one way for Whiteflash to celebrate and honor its customers. With their established great service, I would love to see their policies updated to reflect all the different shapes families can take over time. In the meantime we'll have to take our business elsewhere. read more

I had a circumstance where I really wanted to get my (now) fiancé's engagement ring in a very tight timeframe. We went through a lot of back and forth and I was really worried that I'd have to propose with a temporary setting and go through the process of giving it back and resetting and so on. I purchased my wife's original engagement ring from Whiteflash in 2016 and just recently used their generous upgrade policy to upgrade her 1 ct G VS1 "a cut above" to a 1.5 ct I VS2 "a cut above". We worked with Michelle Adams both times and she even remembered us from 5 years ago. She gave us the same excellent customer service as the first time. It shows that Whiteflash is committed to lifetime customers as we only spent a fraction on the upgrade as we did the original purchase and we still were treated the same in regards to customer service.
