This is a great company to book whitewater rafting trip. They also have a camp ground on site, volleyball net, basketball, biking, and a private shower. The rafting took place on Lehigh River which has a decent combination of calm water and some rapids if you choose class 2/3. If you want something a bit more extreme, it seems like they offer that in the adirondacks area which we might do next. Everyone from the moment I booked over the phone and our tour guides were very nice and resourceful. We've booked a rafting trip from a different company nearby. Although both have similarities, such both trips were on Lehigh river, tour guides were all nice and experienced, trip length, price, discounts, have shower area, our group preferred Whitewater Challengers. This is mainly due to a more private shower area. Whitewater challengers uses actual doors as opposed to just shower curtains and there is enough space inside the shower to put your stuff without getting it wet. The water was also warm which is nice after getting our bodies wet during the trip. Something to keep in mind, when we went the 2nd time, there was a double dam release due to heavy rain the day before which made the water higher. This means less rocks so you'd have a smoother ride but still experience some rapids. We personally preferred when there's more rocks because it gave us more challenges and crazier rapids but more chances of getting stuck on them. It was such a great trip nonetheless and we had a lot of fun. Will definitely book again from this place. read more

I've been going here for 12 consecutive years with a group of 8 before covid hit. Went this past weekend for the first time since 2019. All these years I took the bottom part of the river (the longer trip 12+ miles) not the top trip of 9 miles. Come to my disappointment, WWC is not offering or didn't this weekend the longer trip. When I spoke to the supervisor, he was very nice and explained the reasons why...covid, shortage of workers, gas prices, etc. I only wish I knew a head of time; and I did request the longer trip upon reservation and nobody mentioned that the longer trips are not running now... read more

My only previous experience rafting was on the Delaware Water Gap which was probably more a "lazy river" experience - but could have been time of year. This was my second time at WWC with my son's scout troop and it was a blast! Even with all the rambunctious kids, everyone had a fun and safe time. The guides were great! A few comments - the process is efficient but it's highly manual and involves a lot of paper. When you come with a group of 40+ kids and adults, tracking all that paper requires effort. The on-site shop is very well equipped with extremely reasonable prices. And they hire a lot of what I'm guessing are local school kids which I think it's awesome for the community. All around, excellent place. Our scouts (and parents) look forward to this trip every year! read more

We were a family of 7, including 3 teens, an 11 yr old and 8 yr old. We had a blast! All the employees did a fantastic job, the guides were nice, engaging and funny. The trip itself was fun and exciting (and tiring!). I would recommend this trip to anyone, it was a great day. One recommendation, pay attention to what the guides tell you! Even though we were primarily a group of kids, the guides never had to help us and we never got stuck for more than a second or two. The groups that didn't pay attention were stuck constantly and running into rocks. It's a much more fun day if you aren't the group everyone is stopped and waiting for. read more

On September 6th, I was part of the first bachelorette party Whitewater Challengers has ever hosted. They took care of us from beginning to end, and our entire group could not have had a better time. Tim picked us up at our hotel (40 minutes away) in a school bus that was decorated (by Whitewater Challengers) for our party. Streamers and balloons hung from the ceiling, signs on the windows congratulated the bride-to-be, and white puffs hung on the "nose" of the bus to let everyone know there was a future bride on board. It was a total surprise, and the bride loved it! Our guides (Ryan and Kevin) were so helpful and so much fun. We took two rafts - each holding 5 girls and a guide. The rapids weren't anything crazy that day (it was not a dam release weekend), so most of the actual rafting was pretty mild, but they made the most of it for us - telling stories, singing songs, and just joking around - it felt like we had another friend in the raft. The rapids we did encounter were fun, and we all got out of the rafts at one point to let a rapid take us down the river one at a time. Completely unrelated to our actual rafting experience, the bride got sick before we even left the campsite. Rather than making her wait around until the rest of us got back from rafting or having her take a taxi back to our hotel, Tim insisted on driving her back to the hotel (at no extra charge). As a group, we had an awesome experience - from the moment we got on the bus to the moment we were dropped off back at the hotel. The entire experience was one I know none of us will ever forget, and we're already talking about going back for a dam release weekend. OUR ENTIRE TRIP WAS AMAZING. Food? AWESOME summer camp style. Cleanliness? To the best that they can do aside from natural bugs and such but c'mon it's summer camp grounds! So I'd say PRETTY GOOD! Service? Impeccable. We booked our trip over the phone with Cheri who made it easy, fast, and organized. (thank you cheri, youuuuuuuu da best!) Once we got to the park we were greeted at the gate by Tom (who was also one of our river guides) He gave us the warmest welcoming and made this feel like a home away from home! (Thank you tom! your jokes on the bus will most definitely be recycled haha!) Rebecca helped us check into our trip smoothly. and helped us pick out clothing from the store to keep us dry throughout the rainy 3-day weekend we stayed (you're awesome and so sweeeeeet!) Tom got us set up with our life jackets before getting on the bus and headed to the rafting location. Rode the bus with Jamie and Tom who had awesome stories about why they wanted to become riverguides. (which made my two friends from the NYC want to become river guides!) also shout out to Weezy! (who helped all 7 of us get back into our raft after we bumped into a huge rock and went airborne.) The next day I took my two city friends on a 14 mile bike ride in the pouring rain (which we ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED!) Joe Z... you're the most awesome person. we hope to see you on our next trip! He actually made us want to go on the 22 mile bike ride (we also bought our bikes online while we were on the trail. THATS how much we enjoyed the ride! we will be biking all summer!) This place unbelievably sacrifies quality for quantity by trying to pack hundreds of rafts on the river in the peak season. This was a very sad rafting experience compared to other companies I have used. Honestly, I could have overlooked the meek rapids because the weather was beautiful, and being on the river is just a great way to spend the day. But, it was difficult to enjoy the rafting because our group was just SO crowded, and literally spent the whole time splashing each other. Then, after each rapid, we would be herded over to the side of the river in order to wait for the entire group to catch up. This process would take about 20 minutes each time because our group was literally HUNDREDS of people. So, all in all, I think we spent more than half of our time on the river just sitting and waiting. Our lunchtime spot was also a joke with nowhere to sit, and not nearly big enough for our group. The guides here were fine and friendly, but the overall process is just a mess. Don't be fooled into thinking that this is how all white water rafting companies are - you can have an amazing experience with a small, personal group and some challenging rapids. Even this same company has better rafting in different locations, like on the Hudson. It is really just this location that appears to be a money suck. We also camped here for two nights, and I couldn't believe that we were forced to use the same bathrooms as all of the people coming for day trips. I spent a good part of the day waiting in line for the restroom. The other bathroom options had the worst stench I have ever experienced. I originally had this at 2 stars, but just thinking about it made me push it back to one. They really are trying to capitalize on "family fun" here, and it seems to be working for them. read more

We had a good time on this trip. That being said, when we've gone on this same trip previously without kids (many years ago), there were far fewer rafts than the number we were with (18!). With only 3-4 guides (one in front, one in back and one or two floating in the middle), many of us didn't know what was going on or where to catch the best rapids. The two or three rafts in front heard the lead guide, but nobody else could hear his voice. This trip would have been far better with fewer boats, or more guides. Not sure we would do it again with Whitewater Challengers for this reason. I understand the company can book that many rafts and it's all about the mighty dollar as a business, but the clients should come first. There were also 2-3 "teenage" rafts that were splashing each other the whole time and not paddling, with many other rafts not following simple directions like "single file" or others, making a lot of the rafts group together, crash into each other, push each other out of the sometimes narrow rapid passageways for the best spots, etc. with no repercussions for anyone. They need to hire more people, or better yet, only have about 8-10 rafts per group for a better experience...they'll still make tons of money! read more

I cannot believe that I read reviews on here that the staff was rude or not courteous because each staff member I encountered for my entire Whitewater rafting experiencing went out of their way to express their gratitude for my business and were pleasant to deal with. They were extremely helpful throughout the whole rafting experience and ensured everyone's safety without sacrificing any fun as well. We went during a Dam Release on a Saturday and there were roughly 15-20 rafts in the water. However, this proved to be more fun than a nuisance. While at times you may bounce off the other rafts, the river is still plenty big to have a enjoyable experience We had never gone whitewater rafting before and this was an amazing first time experience. There were some crazy rapids at times and also some down times to just float and relax or to soak the other rafts. Which reminds me, make sure you bring those styrofoam water guns because it makes the experience even more fun, especially if you have children! We also purchased the packaged lunch from the company and it was given to us prior to our departure from their facility. It included a ham sandwich, chips, cookies, and a water bottle. We also had a granola bar that was given to us prior to parking. This was plenty of food for the experience and definitely worth the money, especially if you are from out of state like us and staying at a local hotel. Additionally, if you pack your own lunch, pack light because they only give you a 5 gallon bucket to put your stuff in. While they will give you two, I would recommend not having more buckets than that because you will have a third bucket for emptying the water out of your raft and these also will float around and hit your legs during the ride. This also reminds me to bring up their facility. While we did not stay for the entire experience, their facility is located on a campground with zip lining, basketball courts, and paint balling while also providing changing/shower facilities and a gift shop. As for the whitewater rapids, they are roughly 10-15 minutes away and they take you there on a bus. However, I have read that this is not entirely uncommon for Whitewater Rafting in PA as most businesses are not located directly on the river. The entire experience last roughly 5 hours, with 3 hours actually being in the water. This experience was great for beginners to get their feet wet and see what Whitewater rafting is all about. It also has me wanting more now from higher class rapids. MEH. They say on all of their ads and speeches that the rapids are "Class 2 and 3"....puh. This place is lazy river all day. So, that drops it a whole star for me right there. I wasn't expecting to feel like my life was in danger or anything, but even with "the dam being let out" on the day we went, I did 90% paddling, and 10% riding "rapids." I also really disliked how they made us "pull over" after every tepid rapid section to corral the rest of our ENORMOUS group of people. I was actually flabbergasted at the amount of people that were rafting that day. We had to have had about 30-40 rafts in our group, with other groups of that many also on the river. This place is just sitcom summer camp status. Theres a snack shop that will sell you a literal homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwich that they will give you in a plastic sack. There was a HORRENDOUS "band" that was butchering songs (the drummer literally dropped his stick midsong). You ride to the river on an old, shitty school bus. There is a bathroom section that is literally like 15 outhouses connected; Believe me when I tell you, it was one of the most horrifying experiences of my life just doing a #1 in there. You can smell it from the parking lot. They ARE building a new bathroom though so, theres one positive. The place is also a campground, so there were people with tents and campers there as well. Our guides were cool, and it was fun to hang with a few friends, but theres no way I would ever pay $65 to do this again. read more

would of been 4.5, but I'm a sucker for good customer service. Myself and 6 friends bought a living social deal. Included round trip bus ride from NYC, rafting and lunch. This was a VERY long day so I will try to do this in as few words as possible. Bus ride- buses were nice, AC, bathrooms, movies. HOWEVER the people in the back (myself and friends) were subjected to a GOD AWFUL noise from the speaker, and our Living Social person sort of "never heard" our 200 complaints about it. So we sat for 2 hrs under what felt like a dentist drill. It was resolved on the way home. Rafting - the check in process seemed sort of all over the place. At this point i was very discouraged about this day. I was WRONG. We had our own raft, the trip was GREAT. (in part because i was with awesome people) but we seriously had the BEST day. We hit actual rapids, fell in the water... just a great day. Lunch - you get a choice of sandwiches.... and I have to say, for a trip of over 100 people, this went rather smoothly. Go with the PB&J!!! My complaint and ONLY complaint really... the guides we sort of dicks. Not all of you! Cliff, and I believe his name was Dave (big grizzly dude who just seems to love his job) were great. The others.... were just rude. Not friendly, not very good at giving directions. We are all from NYC... you think we know anything about rafting?? Maybe not using your sarcastic voice w/ every command you call out would be a start. Suggestions- each boat holds up to 7 comfortably. Go with a group large enough you don't have to share a raft w/ strangers... Has to be at least 4. PACK WARM DRY CLOTHES. I have been meaning to write a review on this place for awhile but kept putting it off. I went here last summer with a group of about 15 people and had a lot of fun. It's really not that expensive. Less than $100 for the whole day and they offer a discount if you're there with a group. I think this is a decent beginner place if you've never gone whitewater rafting before. I haven't but even I was getting a little bored at times. There wasn't enough action. Most of the time we had to do all the work to keep ourselves moving along. Each raft is equipped with a bucket and you're able to toss water to the other rafts. I have the mindset of a five-year-old so I thought this was so much fun. The location of the place is far away from the actual river. You park at the location, get set up, and then take a yellow school bus to a different location about 30 minutes away. This is all fun if you're here with a large group. It felt like I was on a school trip. Do be warned that there is no place to go to the bathroom once you get to the river. Obviously there wouldn't be when you're on the raft but there isn't one when you get off the bus. I probably would have given this place 4 stars if the end of my day wasn't so atrocious. When you are done with your trip on the river, you still have that 30 minute ride back to your car. Keep in mind that you will be wearing all your wet clothing. I was also wearing water shoes. Water shoes are great when you're in water but once you're out, they need to come off ASAP. So the ride home was incredibly uncomfortable and I couldn't wait to get back in my dry clothes and flip flops. Well, about 10 minutes into the ride, the bus we were on breaks down. It breaks down in the middle of a highway. We were stranded there for about 30 minutes until another bus was able to come get us. My review is so overdue. But alas, here it is. I bought the Living Social Adventure deal for white water rafting back in JULY (YEA...I know) that included a bus ride and white water rafting for the whole day plus an on the river lunch. I felt like I was back in camp...in a good way. The staff was extremely friendly and helfpul, plus there are rentals for shoes and waterproof jackets. As far as rapids go, this is a low grade river; at least the portion they take you on. But with water guns and feisty raft mates the river was more enjoyable. Lunch consisted of your standard sandwiches - ham, turkey, pb&j plus chips and cookies. The staff was entertaining...one jumped off a cliff in his kayak which was very campy of him. He def is the cool counselor. The only dislike I had was waiting in line to get out of the river. After 4+ hours of paddling and intense water fighting, I wanted to get on the bus and go home. But we continuously let groups in front of us and had to wait approximately 30 minutes in our boats, wet, and not paddling. We were exhausted by the end of our trip....so be sure to snuggle up on the way home, but definitley check this place out for a local white water rafting trip! read more

God, I love this place! I've went here several times over the course of two or three summers and I really, really need to go back. As I recall, we took the 2-2.5 hour trip from NYC first thing in the morning, all groggy-like and cranky. There's a huge campground with bunkhouses, trees, a camping area, and a large buffet-style dining area where they served us breakfast with fresh coffee and orange juice. In a decidedly better mood, we went to the locker area, where they gave us some disturbingly tight blue and black wetsuits. So far, so good. One of the robust looking people in charge herded us outside into groups and proceeded to divide us onto to buses which would take us down to the Lehigh river. Um, yellow school buses (grade-school memories, anyone?) - No AC. Gag. Anyway, after a bumpy downhill ride of about 45 minutes, we finally got to the riverbank. Fun starts here. The divided us into groups of four-five per boat, made sure we had lunch and fresh water with us and gave us some general pointers and helpful safety guidelines (steer AROUND the big sharp pointy rocks!). Finally, we were off. We had pretty good luck all the times we went and had gorgeous weather and pretty strong rapids. Once you get out into the open, I swear, it's one 3-hour long adrenaline rush! Arms working overtime avoiding these wicked looking whirlpools, being snagged by ominous looking trees near the shores, the deadly looking gigantic rocks that WILL sink your boat, and of course, steering our vessel right into the frickin' rapids and holding on for dear life as we were literally lifted in the air and did a complete 360-degree turn. Twice. Whew. Other highlights included all four of us rowing frantically, narrowly missing falling down a waterfall, getting grounded near the shore, and rescuing a nearby capsized boat (the safety instructors were way behind). Also, one of my brilliant buddies' glasses flew off and drowned and he literally tried to jump in the rapids after it - And probably would have if me and my friend hadn't held him back. Oh, and I had the brilliant idea of bringing my cellphone along (what? why?)...oh well, T-Mobile sucked anyway. Oh, and they have this pretty cool thing where they snap your picture at the end, right as you're going over one of the large rapids - The expressions of horror on our faces were priceless! We were a group of 6 and we had such a great time despite the rainy weather. We lucked out because we only travelled with 3 other groups So we got more focused instructions that helped us throughout the whole 3 hr ride, by the end of the ride we were doing tricks with our boat, great laughs! The rain actually made it more thrilling, because it helped pump the rapids. They had body suit, water shoes and mittens rentals available. Dan our incredible, funny, helpful tour guide and "Momma Duck" lead the way throughout with ease. We enjoyed the nature environment. People can bring their own or order their lunch. Lunch can be stored in 5 gallon bins provided. They accommodated us with two. We got group photos taken of us while we were going down the rapids. The gift shop and the food stand was convenient. Only thing I would say is the bathrooms and the porta potties need a little bit better up keeping. They had hot showers and changing rooms The bus ride to and from was smooth. We were on the river the last 2 Saturdays. With another tour. And we were pulled over to the side waiting for our tour to catch up. This group tour came past and threw buckets of water at us calling us names and cursing. Someone in our tour yelled to stop throwing water and they continued and the tour guide laughed as he paddled by. Very unprofessional. From the moment we drove in to White Water Challengers we were made to feel comfortable. The process of checkin was easy. The guides Jonathan, Danny, and L.J. were not only good river guides they were also really good people. They gave us great information about the rapids and river. You could tell they love what they do. The rapids were a nice size and there were plenty to keep us excited. Whitewater Challengers has a great set up going. There are multiple sections of the river they run (from casual rapids to 3+ I believe). They also have a zipline (fairly short), and campsites, a field, and some ropes course stuff. The grounds are kept clean, and for those in the NYC area it is a great refuge from city. The air is fresher - perhaps aided by the thousands of christmas trees in the area (and the millions of regular tress probably help too of course). The best part of WC is by far the staff. They range from HS age and up, but are all very helpful and cheerful. Sometimes it seems a little over staffed on the grounds (the giftshop had 8 employees milling around), but since the staff is so pleasant who really cares. I would definitely encourage you to give it a spin, but I wouldn't expect a fancy frills or experts-only adventure. Just enjoy the beautiful scenery and friendly staff! read more

It was our fist time rafting, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The rapids were very small, and parts of the 7-mile long trip were boring. People seemed to like to throw buckets of water on each other most of the time, which got extremely annoying. If we go again, we'll do the level 3 rapids. I'm not sure why the base was so far away from the river. It's about a 20 minute ride to the river, and about 30 minute ride back. I recommend this for young kids, though. We tried the zipline, too. Don't waste your time. It was so small, and the line was about 3 seconds long. read more

Towards the end of August on a dam-release Saturday, I went rafting on the Lehigh River with a group of four people. Whitewater Challengers paired us with a couple and put the 6 of us in one raft. At first, we were told we would have our own raft, but because of the amount of people who had reservations at the same time slot, they tried to put us all in as few rafts as possible. In total, it was about 12-15 rafts with 4 guides, one in the front, one in the middle, and two in the back. Let me tell you, these guides were extremely helpful, especially to the rafts that were always getting stuck on rocks. Our raft was good, as we had all strong people in our raft and no kids, so we were dodging stuff left and right. The last leg of whitewater before you dock your raft at the end though, we were stuck on a huge rock for about 20 minutes. The guides in the back of the group actually had to get out of their kayak to dislodge us. We felt kind of bad because we held up the group who was waiting on the buses to go back as we were sitting on the water. As for the rapids, the whole journey isn't Class III, but there are some intense parts, not really any drops, but places where you could really lodge your raft on something and have some trouble getting off. Besides the end, we were doing great. They do give each raft a bucket for dumping water out of the raft, but they also endorse having water fights with other rafts. My recommendation, go when its warm out and not late August like we did, because it was cool out and the water was chilly. Go at a time when it will be refreshing for you. IF it is cool out, I recommend renting the wetsuits they offer for $6. That more than paid for itself instead of getting sick. We didn't get any food there, so can't comment on that. At the end of the day, there were lines for bathrooms and the changing rooms, so didn't bother with that either. I heard they were clean though. All in all, given the times I've rafted before on the Delaware River, this was more exciting and well-worth the effort of paddling and kicking off of rocks to free the raft. I've been here twice already. Once on May for dam release weekend and once again in August. The guides are awesome. On my first boat, I was with novice paddlers. We had trouble getting a good rhythm. Sid, our river guide stepped in and got us on track. The routes had plenty of hydraulic jumps and rapids, so we got nice and wet. Back at the lodge the food was tasty and the showers hot. Rental prices for wet suits we're good as well. The only thing I didn't like was $12/souvenir photo. read more

We opted for the upper river whitewater rafting, which was a 9 mile trip. The entire process was a breeze, as all the stations were numbered (Check-in, Rentals, Bus Pickup, etc). There are plenty of food selections, from snacks to hot breakfasts. Our tour guides for white water rafting were Suzanne, Diane, Tyler, and Scott!They provide you with a lidded bucked to keep your lunches dry, and wetsuits/booties for rent. My only suggestion is to bring your own PFDs if you have them. There were a LOT of rafts in our group, so going on a week day would provide a smaller group experience. We had 7 in our group, which was the perfect amount for a raft. Suzanne's bus ride speech was the best if you can get on her bus! Scott was definitely a blast if you can get in his group! Awesome staff, especially Bob the instructor on the Harmonica! The entire trip was planned extremely well and EVERYONE was helpful, inviting, supportive and engaging. My wife and our daughter loved it. The water was not "rough" and comfortable enough to swim in when allowed. We look forward to coming again next year and meet great people. 4 consecutive company trips and each one somehow gets better than the previous. The river was great this past weekend; some extra rainfall the week before coupled with the damn release and it was a nice trip. But I'm not going to review the river - sometimes its fast, other times it is slow - reviewing the river would be a slight to the company that runs the trips. None of the companies can control the river. And while we're at it, none of the companies can control the guests who sign up and travel within your rafting group. My review of Whitewater Challengers is exactly what its been in the past; A well run organization that is filled with employees who care about your good time, your safety and the safety of those around you. In the 4 years we have been going we have seen a lot of familiar faces, from guides we recognized from trips past to the friendly faces at check in. for as large as this operation is, we have always gotten the friendly family vibe when we go here. Its what keeps us coming back and already has us looking for a date on the calendar for our next trip. My family and I had a great time white water rafting. Our guide jen was amazing. This is perfect for first timers. We stayed the night at the camp grounds in the cabin. The cabin DOESN'T come with mattress. You sleep on plywood bunkbeds, bring air mattress with bedding. Or you have the option to rent a tent. The breakfast was good, we prepaid and got it buffet style, has a variety for everyone. We opted for the lunch. I Wouldn't recommend. It came with a sandwich, cheese, fruit and chips, that you put in a bucket so it dosent get wet while you are in the raft. However by lunch time the sandwitch was soggy and the cheese was warm. I recommend bringing your own lunch. read more

We all had a great time my 13 yr son fell out during a big rapid and we all got scared and he loved it. All the staff was amazing and he was picked up by another boat. We had abt 5 rafts with us total which is good so everyone watches for everyone. You might think it's to much until you lose your son then your great full. we will definitely be back. read more

Whitewater Challengers is a good choice for your rafting needs. We went after a dam release so there were plenty of Rapids water to raft down. I think it would have been a bit boring without the dam release (coming from a 23 yr old male). Our guide Bryan made the trip 100% better. After he realized we could control our raft very well, he showed us particular parts of the Rapids to hit for a more enjoyable experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to other rafts as well. read more

Our Guide: Hey, you guys from New York and New Jersey - this is where your Christmas trees come from (said to a group of Muslims on our bus). Maybe I went whitewater rafting on the wrong day. I knew the day was going to be so-so when I was stuck between 2 buses driving up. When I arrived, it was an absolute zoo - I thought it was going to be like 5 rafts out on the river. WRONG! After navigating a maze, I drove to 7 guys in yellow jackets who acted like checkpoints to get to the parking area. Once we parked, it seemed like a zoo with people running around having water fights with no regard near the check-in area (it was only an omen for what was going to happen on the river). Our group checked in, dodged water gun spray, signed the waivers, dodged more water gun spray, put on wet moldy life jackets (I'm pretty low maintenance, but those jackets stunk like a combo of ass, feet, and refurbished garbage), dodged even more water gun spray, and then boarded the bus. It was about a 20 minute ride to the staging area and we got our instructions from our guides. There were 3 bus loads of people which translated into about 30 rafts on the river - and about 7 rafts full of absolutely idiots. Each raft contained a bucket with a lid to put your lunch in, a bucket to bail out water, and did I mention water guns? These 7 rafts had bucket fights between each other the entire time we were out there. Its ok if you're wetting your friends, but when errant water hits unintended targets, that's when things go wrong. I lost count of the amount of times I wanted to jump out of my raft, flip over opposing rafts, and crocodile death roll each person. It seemed like every time we hit good rapids, we had to pull over every 10 minutes to wait for those same 7 rafts. Midway through the trip, the head guide had to threaten to call the ranger on the 7 rafts for jumping into other rafts to steal buckets and swimming in the rapids. The rest of the trip continued with the same behavior (even after threat). The designated lunch area was terrible - wet sand and no rocks to sit on. Eating a sandwich in one hand, chips in another, drink on the floor, and trying not to drop anything. The guides were helpful and the river was decent, but you can't really navigate with 30 rafts in the river (especially when 7 are having water fights for the entire 6 hours). Be sure to bring a change of clothes because you will get soaked (water fights or not). read more

Great experience with 3 of our kids. Rapids were level 1 which was great way to see the beautiful sites and relax. Kids are definitely ready for level 3 when we can return here. Only frustration was that some people in the rafts were very inexperienced and slowed down the entire group because we had to stick together. Would have preferred being able to split up from the super slow people who somehow found every rock on which they managed to get stuck. It was very funny, but a bit annoying. Whitewater Challengers were great though. read more
