This was my first visit to this location, though not my first blowout experience. Unfortunately, it…read morewill also be my last for this brand. My daughter and I arrived five minutes before our 12:00 pm appointment. Another group checked in after us, yet they were taken back first. We weren't called until 12:10, and while I asked that my daughter be started on first (which they did), I was left waiting even longer. When my stylist finally brought me to the shampoo bowl, she apologized, explaining that another client had shown up 30 minutes late. I couldn't understand why management would allow a tardy client to disrupt scheduled appointments. My stylist, Crystal, was very kind and professional. We even talked about how important it was for my hair to last since we had an event in Greenville at 3:00 pm. I specifically asked for hairspray at the end to hold the curls. Unfortunately, by the time we reached our hotel around 2:00 pm, my hair was completely limp with no hold. The style barely lasted an hour, which defeats the purpose of a blowout. While my stylist did her best, the overall management of this location was disappointing. Allowing late clients to interfere with scheduled appointments, giving preferential treatment to guests who arrived after us, and requiring stylists to handle cleaning duties instead of focusing on clients all contribute to a poor customer experience. For context, I've been to Drybar and other blowout salons multiple times and have never had my style fall apart so quickly. I also typically receive a wash, cut, and blowout in under an hour--yet here, the timing felt unnecessarily prolonged, as if designed to increase charges. To be clear, this review is not a reflection on my stylist or my daughter's stylist--both were pleasant and received a 20% tip from me. My concerns are directed at the management and overall business model of this establishment. Would you like me to make this shorter and sharper for posting on Google/Yelp, or keep it in this longer, detailed version (which works well if you want to explain fully what happened)?

I was not sure what to expect and I have extremely long, thick hair, but Michelle did an absolutely amazing job! It turned out better than I could have imagined, and I am extremely happy with the results. They also had a laptop tray that I was able to use to get some work done while getting my hair done. Outstanding touch on the service! The place was also decorated so cute for Easter, which was a cute touch. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Rockwall.

So then the third time I went to see Brenda I thought I was getting the same service as last time which was a push up and hair color well half way through what I thought was a push she says she was going to do a maintenance but did not explain the cost nor gave me the option to choose whether I wanted to proceed or not considering the cost of the maintenance was 300.00 + 115.00 well after she clipped my extensions she proceeded to doing what I thought was a push up, well almost 5 hours later she had her niece take me to another room to blow dry my hair and that is when I worked the courage up to ask if that process of 5 hours was the same cost of 150.00 as of last time, as when I went in the previous time for a push up I only lasted 45 mins to to 1 hour..She then said that what she did was a Maintenance to my hair and that would cost 300.00 and additional 115.00 for hair color, when she only colored my roots and side burns..I told her I was not going to pay her the 415.00 because she did not consult with me on the pricing first and I told her it was not fair as I being her client to not have the option to choose my service.. how did she know if I was able to afford 415.00 ?? thinking I was only going to pay 150.00 well she said you are going to have to pay anyway. I gave her a check for 300.00 and said you can take me to court for the Balance..well she called the police and probably fed them lies..so they corned me to pay her the whole balance..well I warned her that I was going to do everything in my power to make sure she did not do this to anyone else! I told her not everyone will have that amount of money when she tries to do a switch and bait, so I told her I would be warning everyone out their that may come In contact with and her buisness. Please Becareful!! and Beware She is A thief and and is not up front with her Clients! I would also like to add that she is in no way professional as she closes down her part of her working area when she has to take her kids to school and when she has personal issues come up and she will reschedule you at last minute . please find someone reputable..

Well, I hit a home run, first try with my stylist at this salon. Chrissy was awesome. She provided great consultation before we began and throughout the appointment over and above my color. I had something in mind for a cut/style and she walked me through what it would look like to have that cut/style, giving me all kinds of clarity about what I thought would be a good idea. After talking with her, we made a different decision together and I'm so grateful. And her colorist skills? Awesome. When I say my base color is perfect after my first visit with her, I'm not kidding. I LOVE it. Y'all, if you need a colorist, GO TO CHRISSY! She has limited hours at this salon, but she'll work you in somewhere. ;) Thanks, Chrissy! See you in a month? :D

Earlier, I was doing my late afternoon, early evening neighborhood walk. I was wearing hiking boots, blue jeans and a very expensive wool flannel. Uhmmm, it being Texas, this is all acceptable clothing attire, in the winter. As I passed by this establishment, I finally saw an employee working. I was thrilled to see someone here because I've been trying to call them for an estimate for a hair and color and possibly make an appt. They never answer the phone. Ever. I can show numerous calls during work hours. I've even attempted to leave a voicemail but it was always full. Anyways, I walked up and before I could get to the door, I was greeted by an employee or the owner with a very cold "No thank you" There was something more to that "no thank you" as well. There was was something I have felt before, many times throughout my life and several times here in the Great State of Texas, and that is, preconceived ignorant hate filled racism. Let me explain something else about myself. I am a Latino. I am an American first and foremost, but I am also an American, Born and Raised, wave the flag, Proud of my Country, American. I can also add, my parents were born and raised in America, as well as their parents and their parents, in fact, my Family has been in America even before it was even America. There are no green cards among any of us, only BIRTH CERTIFICATES. Aside from the shrill "no thank you" as if I was anything else, other than a customer, she, the employee, was very quick to brush me off and tell me call the number. I explained to her that I have tried to call repeatedly and to no avail. I explained I am just returning from my walk and that I live around the block, but the look of unprovoked terror or hate or, I don't know what was in her eyes, but it certainly was NOT what one would expect as a possible customer. I'm not sure what her back story is, but I could see she already had a Pre-conceived story of me. I left mid sentence and walked home frustrated, upset, and sad, because I was sure she was going to call the cops on me any second, just for inquiring. This being a small town and me new to Texas and this town, I was not sure how I'd be greeted by them. I wear a Back the Blue and I support my Local Police, rubber band bracelet, and still, in 2019, I am concerned about my rights and safety with Police, because of my color. This entire experience lasted all of maybe a couple minutes, but it will be a memory and learned experience of mine for an entire lifetime.
