After researching their Google and Yelp reviews and saw a very well priced Radiesse filler promotion on their website and decided to contact them by calling to make an appointment to consult with their Dr. They were very kind, professional, and prompt in scheduling me the day of for my appointment after telling them I was interested in having fillers done for my smile lines and to define my jawline. I've had those fillers done and consulted with 2 other spa's but did not like how most places would quote too high prices and pressure to purchase packages of 3. The location is easy to get to on Beach Street in La Habra and was warmly welcomed to a clean and calm facility. The nurse and I consulted on what my beauty goals were for the attainable look. She informed me that my smile lines were able to be filled with an HA filler and that I'd be able to meet with the Dr. to see and confirm if the 1 Syringe of the Collagen Filler Radiesse would be able to contour my Jawline. We came to his large clean room and he agreed. The staff offered an extra 5% off since I was a new patient and was able to pay for the HA Filler and Radiesse Collagen Filler mostly in cash and the remainder blamce with my debit card. The facility had be sign electronic forms and when taking my blood pressure they asked me to rest and relax in the facial room and even offered and placed numbing cream which was comfortably knowing they were taking care of my health with my high blood pressure. After 20mins they took my vitals again and led me to the Dr's room. The Dr. Was kind and considerate and helped ease me with ice packs for where my injections were to take place. His techniques were swift and the placement of the fillers took full effect right away on my Nasial Fold Smile Lines. He once again prepped me for my Jawline Contour with the ice pack before he placed and injected both sides of my Jawline. He also showed me the remainder .3 of the Radiesse Collagen Filler and comfortably informed me he would use it on my chin area. He used medical pimple patches over where the injections took place. His calm, clean, and professional demeanor made me feel safe through out my whole treatment which took around 20mins. Overall, I was happy and thrilled to have found K MedSpa especially with my results. My slight swelling went down by the evening and did not have any bruising from the Dr's treatment techniques. The nurses and staff were wonderful and never pressured me into purchasing more. Instead of feeling confident and excited, I was forced to hide, avoid photos, and deal with overwhelming embarrassment, anxiety, and trauma over the condition of my face. The emotional impact has been just as damaging as the physical injuries. I placed my trust in this clinic and expected trained professionals who would prioritize patient safety and understand how to properly treat clients with different skin types. Instead, I have been left with a painful and prolonged recovery process that has affected my confidence, mental well-being, and daily life. To their credit, they are currently attempting to treat the hyperpigmentation that resulted from the procedure with hydroquinone and tretinoin. However, it is incredibly frustrating to need corrective treatments for a problem that I believe should never have happened in the first place. I went in seeking cosmetic improvement, not months of recovery and additional interventions to address the damage. Perhaps the most disappointing part is that despite the severity of what I experienced and the ongoing costs, stress, and emotional suffering, I was not offered a refund.
