I went back to the store asking for help in finding the part, and our salesman, Charles Dean, helped me obtain the part and even showed me that it wasn't as difficult to install it as I had anticipated. In so doing, he saved me the cost of getting a repairman to my home. That kind of service will get me back the store the next time I need an appliance.

The last place I expected to find myself on a Thursday morning was at Plugs Appliances. You see,…read moreour freezer/refrigerator, after 11 wonderful years, died a painful death (taking a fully stocked unit down with it). In the past, we've gone to Lowe's but the appliance repair guy who pulled the plug (pun intended) convinced us to check out this appliance retailer as they stand behind their installations, as well as offering competitive pricing. It's part of the same strip that houses Sesame Burgers and several other small retailers. We were warmly greeted and though the gentleman we were told to ask for was running late, Chip suggested that we look around and that he would answer our questions. The showroom was not large, but, the refrigerator selection appeared to be adequate. Our decision was quick in that a 33", 25 cubic foot fridge, was now considered a special order. We had no time to spare. Chip was able to schedule delivery the next day on a GE with French doors and bottom load freezer the next day. Sold! We received a delivery confirmation that evening and a text message the next morning with a delivery window. Installation was a breeze. Plugs employs their own installers. By noon the next day, I was happily on my way, re-stocking my new fridge and freezer. I was always a big-box shopper but now I'm sold on 'the little guy.' You will be, too. Make Plugs your first stop when shopping for a new home appliance.

I did not smell him ( once again, read below review) so I cannot speak to that. Hunter is helping us with some built in cabinets for the office. He worked within our budget and I appreciate that. Installation hasn't been completed so we shall see how the subcontractors do. Daniel and Eric delivered our new grill. They could not have been any nicer. Sometimes they are in such a hurry that they come off as rude. Not these two.

I went in there to look at a washing machine that my husband wanted me to buy. Stephen walked me through the whole process and he listened to my needs. He never judged me, but through asking me questions and listening to what I was looking, for he steered me into the direction of a much less expensive washing machine. Because that model actually met my needs. Because I'm a girl and I don't really know things he really could've ripped me off but he didn't. I really appreciate Steven, taking the time to walk me through all the different models and all the different features and helping me. I had even told him that I could not buy the washing machine today because again I'm just a girl and that my husband would have to come and help me buy the washing machine cause I don't know how to do things. Even though he knew, I wasn't going to buy that washing machine right then , he's still spent at least 30 minutes explaining everything to me. So basically, if you don't want to get ripped off and you want to talk to someone who really knows what they're talking about and you have to buy your third washing machine in 10 years like I'm having to do ( uhhhh ) go talk to Steven. He's going to treat you right and smell good the entire time.

I watched a Youtube video on how to do it myself, ordered the part I needed online at a discount, and then realized I had no idea what I was doing. After watching the video again, it was definitely something I could do, but could possibly take all day or more. Someone with experience could probably be done in less than an hour. I weighed my options and called around to some places for quotes. Some of them wouldn't even do the job unless they provide the parts... I know that scam. Others were offering reasonable quotes for the job, but then would mention a service fee, travel fee, or some other variable that could make it $30-$70 more. I had left a voice mail for Atlantic and when I got a call back, they already had a quote ready of $95. I thought for sure she was about to hit me with a menagerie of additional fee's like everyone else, but that was it... $95 flat. They had an appointment a couple days later so I booked it right away. The repair guy arrived on time and went straight to work. He did a great job and worked very quickly. I ended up having to switch out a power cord on the dryer and hook everything up. I should have asked for a price on that because he rounded it up to $150 total for the whole job, but other places were quoting more than that for the original repair alone. At the end of the day, I still saved over $100 from buying my own parts and using Atlantic Home Services for the labor.

Assessed the situation, $85 and texted me with a quote a couple of hours later. Installed the pump. Dryer shaft broke following day, Jim came again pronto, diagnosed the disaster with no charge. Advised I need a new washer. I offered the part back & they returned the cost of it. Unbelievable. They are a fantastic service. I cannot praise them enough. Then I got a courtesy call from Sherry to ensure that everything went ok. So if you need an appliance diagnosed & fixed for whatever reason Atlantic Home Services are your people. So glad we have this business in Mt. Pleasant.

I have made multiple calls trying to inquire about an appliance, as is an option on their phone menu, and has always been a kindly provided service in the past. Today, I was sent to a message system and received an unrequested text to my phone, without me providing my number or a request...about scheduling a time to pick up furniture. Maybe they switched to AI, cause my whole experience with them has been complicated, obtrusive and infuriating. I do not want to drive nearly an hour to gamble on whether they have any of the appliances in that I need to replace the ones in my own household. This used to be a store that was there to help and benefit the community, save trash from the dumps and make surviving more in reach for families and individuals in our area. It seems as though they have moved from their part in the community service and care section. I was treated rudely and with disregard, when they used to be helpful and kind. What a disappointment and contrast to the service they used to proudly provide to our island communities. Kindness, respect and compassion makes people's lives better and you used to be able to depend on that from the East Cooper Home store. That, it seems is now a thing of the past. Perhaps they are busy with the designers in Mt Pleasant, and don't have time for the working families that make up and serve the island communities of Charleston.

This is was a big project to remove a wall to open up our downstairs, completely renovate the kitchen, pull up and install new floors, and paint the entire house. The project finished exactly on time. The price was reasonable. This was a once in a lifetime reno, and we could not be more happy with the quality of the work, the end result, and the overall experience. We use our kitchen every single day (all day!), and it is functional and beautiful. There is nothing I would change about it. All parties involved should be recognized, from design services to project management and to each of the contractors: Cabinet guys, countertop guys, floor installers, painting team. All did really quality work. I haven't hung up pictures yet because it's so nice having beautifully painted walls!! It's worth pointing out that we could not afford to vacate our home while this was going on, so we (my husband, me, our 5 year old son, and 12 year old dog!) lived in the house for 5 weeks without a kitchen, floors, etc. I know our living there and needing some place to sleep, etc. had to be factored in to the overall organization and scheduling, and I'm sure it made the project more complicated. This didn't seem to faze anyone! This is also why we appreciate that the project finished exactly on schedule. Thank you Jack, Jackie, Gina and the entire team!!
