I ordered a firearm from Wholesale Hunter through GunBroker.com. Shortly after placing the order, they informed me the firearm was not compliant with California law. We agreed to cancel, and they confirmed that a refund would be issued. After that, all communication from them stopped completely. My emails and voicemails went unanswered for nearly two weeks. It wasn't until I made it clear that I would be reporting them to GunBroker and the Alabama Attorney General that they finally processed the refund. However, instead of simply resolving the issue professionally, they sent me a retaliatory and threatening email afterward. In that message, they accused me of "breaching their terms" by contacting GunBroker and even threatened to sue me for $1,500 and garnish my wages if I pursued a chargeback or complaint. This kind of intimidation toward customers is unacceptable and unethical. I have filed a formal complaint with the Alabama Attorney General's Office, as well as a report with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), to document this behavior. Wholesale Hunter's conduct shows a disturbing pattern -- ignoring refund requests, failing to communicate, and then lashing out at customers who hold them accountable. I would think twice before doing business with Wholesalehunter. I ordered a revolver from Wholesalehunter that was advertised on Gun Broker in Mid January of 2025. On 1-31-25, I cancelled the order after I was informed the revolver was not available and on back order. Wholesalehunter had already charged my credit card. Wholesalehunter staff informed me that it would take 15-30 working days to process the refund / credit to my credit card. I have spoken with multiple Wholesalehunter staff on multiple occasions via telephone and sent several e-mails to their supervisory staff with no response. As of 3-20-25, my credit card has not been refunded / credited. I have involved my credit card company. Don't you realize that serial numbers contain date manufacturer codes gauge codes and finish codes that are required by and buyers. He worded the ad in a confusing way, all he had for sale was the "gun stock", NOT the complete rifle. After talking to a friend, he pointed out that it wasn't the entire rifle. Made a large order and one of the items was supposed to be 200 rounds of sig saur hollow points (the description and the picture showed hollow points on the website) when the delivery got to me the 200 rounds of hollow points that I ordered were just plain round nose. I contacted them and told them what happened, they denied me and just changed the description of the website instead of making it right. I tried to contact the manager and filled out a request 2 times and have not heard anything back from them for weeks now. Worst Customer Service in the business. Their website misrepresents products and you pay the 10% charge, plus shipping when they send you the product that was wrong on their page. It takes weeks to get the products, & then it takes weeks, multiple e-mails, and restating the same story over & over to different CS Reps who who don't read the e-mails or communicate with each other. I own a small business. I hate having to write a poor review on someone else's, this business has systemic and personnel problems. Inaccurate website, poor return policy, slow response, and they won't willingly follow up their own return process unless you hound them. Then you'll get attitude. A few days later receive an email that their website mis- calculated and it would be 42 dollars shipping and to call if I had questions. I called and asked if they would be willing to work with me and to show my understanding asked if they would split the difference since it was their website's problem. I ordered a WWII M1 Garand mat from their site. It was a black and white cleaning mat that I planned on hanging up on display in a museum. What they sent was a full color with a lot of bright red logos, business names and .com stuff spread throughout the entire mat so it was not able to be displayed. I contacted them to get a return shipping label and for a refund and they refused. Their customer rep "Erin" was rude and told me they use stock photos so what a customer gets may not be what was in the listing. I was like WTF, that's stupid. I want what is in the listing that I ordered not what you feel like shipping. They use that stock photo thing as an excuse to never have to accept a return by taking the blame away from them. The item price was fine even though the shipping cost was double inflated but none of that even matters because I didn't get what I ordered and they just refuse to send me a return label. First they don't tell you they are NOT Prime sellers to we had to PAY TO RETURN a pair of hunting boots - NEARLY $50. Then these liars said we returned used boots - a flat-out lie. They charged a 50% (50%!) restocking fee that amounted to nearly $100 to return ONE pair of boots. Challenged their restocking fee with Amazon and after a month Amazon stood behind their A-Z Guarantee and finally refunded our restocking fee. On 12-14-21 I ordered a Cimarron Bisley. The website indicated that they had one left. I called and verified this to be true. Due to online reviews, I was hesitant but decided to follow through with the order. The lady I spoke with was very courteous and helpful. I had my Bisley within days. Upon receipt of the weapon, I found that it had a little creep in the trigger. I contacted Cimarron and found out that I needed a sales receipt to send it back for warrant repairs. Apparently, my dealer failed to give me this when I picked up the pistol. I contacted Wholesale Hunter by email requesting a copy. Within 30 minutes I had a copy in my inbox. The item did not ship until 15 days later, and, just as predicted did not arrive in time. I would rate negative stars if possible.
