Hello Wi-five, me again. I had the opportunity to use Wi-five several years ago down in Wilmer. The service was so aggravatingly slow that it drove us insane. I was just checking the reviews while I was passing through and I can see nothing has improved. Wow. We kept being promised a service technician to our home to check everything and after 4 or 5 missed service calls from their end(I took off work for each of these appointments and didn't even receive a call), I finally made a complaint with the BBB. Shockingly, some lady from Wi-five reached out but not to look for a solution to our service issue, but to try to intimidate me into taking my scorching review down because "they are a family company". Of course her threats made no difference and I told her if they wanted to improve their reputation they would need to provide decent service. I'll never forget that hag rambling on and on for what had to be 15-20 minutes before she finally gave up. It made such a negative impression that here I am some 10 years later checking to see if they ever made any improvements and to my surprise I see that's a huge NO! lol. Do not waste your time with this 'family' of amateurs. You'd do better just doing without the aggravation. And if the lady reaches out again to try to persuade my opinion, that's just not how we roll around here. read more

Always something causing outages. Need their equipment updated. Always same song and dance about why it's out. Now it's cause of a fiber cut. Ridiculous. My review is similar to the rest listed on this page. I left Frontier to join Wi-Five as they promised "way" faster speeds than I was getting (approximately 2MB). I started out at 4-5 MB for the first two months (luckily out of the 30 day money back guarantee window). Now my service has dropped to less than 1 MB. I can't stream video, and even had to use cellular data to pay my Wi-Five bill online (oh the irony!) I will be cancelling my service ASAP, and do not recommend this company to anyone looking for internet service. I'm attaching a screenshot of my last two months of speed tests. the quality is bad, like really really bad. the value and the price for it is not even worth buying and you're basically getting scammed for buying bad wifi. i have the gold plan and it's supposed to run 6Mbps but it runs to like kbps??? and i guess on a really good day it would reach 1-3 Mbps. the quality of the wifi is either a hit or miss but it's always ALWAYS a miss, I have only 2 devices on the wifi (a tv, and a phone) and as soon as they're connected, the wifi runs at 1mbps. it is really bad, i don't recommend. read more

We have been with them for the past 5 years, and ONLY because we have no other options besides satellite. We have been paying for their highest offered speed package (between 5 and 10mbps), and have rarely received that performance. If you have other options, would be smart to pursue that instead of Wi-Five. read more

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD! These people are horrible! They lied saying I could get service then when the technician came (NOT in a company truck, a personal truck) he didn't even come to the door, just pulled up and honked several times. He looked at one spot on the property that conveniently was right in the trees and said that I would need to replace part of the roof of the shed for him to be able to install the tripod for the radio. Nobody told me beforehand that it couldn't be mounted to a metal roof. So i spend money on gas, plywood, wifi router & paying someone to replace one of the old sheets of plywood from the shed. A week goes by and I don't hear back from them so I email them. Well long story short, too late for that now, they lied to me, sent out a very unprofessional, lazy "technician", cost me almost $300 & wouldn't even send out a different technician to check other areas on the property to see if their radio could be set up anywhere else. I highly recommend that anyone thinking or considering getting their service.... DON'T DO IT! read more

I have had wifive for almost a year. I fell behind on my payments and got disconnected. I called to make payment and was told I was up for removal of the tower. They said if I paid the $100 they would cancel the removal and I could finish paying in a month. a few days later my tower was gone. I called and they told me they were sorry that the notes were there but someone with their company messed up. I have had to take 1.5 days off to get the tower put back up. I have asked to speak with a supervisor and was told the owner was the supervisor and I could not be transferred to them but I could email them but they have not responded. I have referred this company to several of my friends but from this point on I will be doing the opposite. read more

Customer service is poor multiple calls without response when they do call back they don't have better service available. I have been told since I signed up that this faster service will be available next month then in 2-3 months now after more than a year it is still not available Many excuses no answers. My service is consistently so poor that I use my data plan on my phone causing that bill to go up, and forget about streaming or usin direct tv on demand it's way too slow. Trash internet, not reliable, random blackouts, sometimes for hours on end. False advertising to say it's up 100% of the time. Called technician out they blamed it on trees, but trees don't randomly block internet service throughout the day for extended amount of time and then work fine other days. read more

I have been a wifive customer since the beginning of them being in my area atleast 4-5 years. Consistently very poor service. You pay a hefty premium for 10mb internet 8mb down 2mb up 90% of the time I get 1mb down and 1mb up not enough speed to stream netflix or any other meaningful task. I have called them, messaged them on their online support page and emailed them with zero response to help get my service to advertised speeds or even just to improve our speeds enough to stream a school seminar. I feel like our service is routinely throttled back after 2pm to 1mb down or below 1mb down until the middle of the night. I know that they have the capability to provide the advertised speeds because certain mornings our speeds will significantly improve. I have specifically asked for tech support to come out to my house to check the radio and all calls for help have gone unanswered. I am currently looking for other service providers in the area to try. read more

ABSOLUTE WORST. We have been dealing with Wi-Five for over a year and have had nothing but trouble with the "services" provided. Weak signals IF we have a signal, slooooow DL speeds and some of the worst customer service I've had the displeasure of experiencing. Whenever we try and contact them directly no one answers the phone. The only way to get a response is through Facebook. Really?? I know we're in Seagoville but this isn't FarmVille. And to top it off, they keep bankers' hours and are closed on weekends so good luck getting help if you work a full time job. I'm so disappointed with this company. I call to get support and no one never answers. My internet is never working cant even watch a video on you tube with out it stopping. I call and leave many voice messages and never get a call back. When they do answer all they tell me is unplug your router and plug it back in. I've done that almost every other day and the problems is still the same. No one ever comes and check to see what the problem is. I'm calling now and like always no answer on support. My experience with Wi-Five has been decent, but not great. Like other reviewers, when I first signed up it was fantastic. While not experiencing a lot of outages, my only concern is the number of timeouts received during a web browsing session. As an example, I recently purchased a software package online and could not download it because the speed was 7,2 KBPS and would fail an hour or so into the download. Support did help when contacted so I was eventually able to complete the task. They are likely victims of their own success. The more subscribers, the slower it will be. On the plus side, they are one of a few carriers that still offer no data cap. read more

I've been with Wi-Five for several years. We're in Nevada, Texas so we're on "the end of the string." Those complaining about Wi-Five should have been here years ago when several companies sprang-up, took your money and feel flat. One must expect some outages, especially during weather- Wireless I-Net is never going to be fiber-optic, folks. Andrew and his people have always answered my emails and gotten-on any problems in a timely manner. We don't always get "full speed," which is understandable this far out on the pipeline, but we almost always have acceptable speed. These folks are providing a service where it would otherwise be unavailable unless you're made of money (sat drop) and I'm not. Their speed and reliability have continually improved and I'm glad to have them. The other available providers have come and gone, just like years ago, but none of them offer comparable service at the price. Unless something changes a lot, "I'm sticking." read more

yes thats right they call you back after 3 days with no better solution slow internet and they keep advertising as a fast internet service but thats not true they said in 2 months i will get better signal but never happened the new new tower never got up after 5 months is just the same slow service, last time i called what they offer me is that i shout go with the $39 dollar service package so i don't call them any more i think, for the last 3 years i have being paying $54 to get faster internet service. they should take care of they customers that they already have instead of trying to get more customers advertising a free month of serve if had the opportunity to the service from deferent competitor i would change provider and not be hire with this people read more
