The food was horrible: Plain a dry burger was burnt, a medium rare steak that was well done and potatoes that were probably a day old.. Pretty sure the cook walked away from our order on the grill.... Ordered Jager bombs.. Forgot the bomb... Then the receipt wasn't itemized so I'm pretty sure we were over charged. There are two coin operated pool tables, Big Buck hunting arcade, and golf arcade in the back that are entertaining. I would have given this place 5 stars except for the gosh darn bathroom light that turns off automatically when your taking a gosh darn dump! I enjoy the extensive menu and the expertise of the Bartenderss. But I must say if you are Not a Man you Aren't going to get "friendly" service. Short tempered and give it to me straight service but Not friendly. I noticed it first thing. To a Man, "Here's your order, Sweetie, anything else?" All smiles in the voice. I've been in to this bar many many times over the last 15 years. I don't know what happened but it has really gone downhill bad! Definitely not the cleanest car I've been around and I say that dealing with the bathrooms and seeing that when a drink was spilled and glass broke on their floor all they did was come over and throw a newspaper down on the ground like there's some kind of puppy that needs to go potty training. Get on Your Game! Hit or miss seems to be the theme here. You can go in one day and the food is great, the service is great, and you leave feeling great. The next day completely the opposite. Everyone knows the name but the lackluster attitude gives it all away. You can find any number of bar and grills exactly the same as this. The menu is tired and old.....including the sticky menus themselves. We last came her after a celebration of life for a friend. What a letdown. While it's still a fun place for a few shots and beers......being charged $5.75 a pint is beyond ridiculous. Too many greasy fried items that are flavorless, including the fries. Service was so so. Just going through the motions and never checked to see if we enjoyed our food or how it was going. Overall it's clean, it has plenty of seating for groups and large get togethers, but for me there's too many options that have a better value, better quality, and where I feel a little more valued as a customer. read more

I am 68 years old and just had open heart surgery 6 months ago. After a scheduled appointment at Sunnyside Hospital my wife and I decided to go to Wichita Pub in Clackmas OR. When I pulled off of Hwy 212 into the office park some jerk off in a small Toyota rode my ass all the way to the front of the building which is the Wichita Pub main parking lot. My wife didn't see what was going on but I told myself if this prick gets out of his car I'm calling him down. Sure enough...he backs into and used two spots to protect his 1500 dollar POS Toyota. He was bolting into the Wichita Pub like he might have been some runner. I told him what I thought of his bullshit, aggressive driving and we almost got into a fistfight or worse. Had it not been for my wife getting back in the car who knows. I had my doubts about this place and they were all confirmed today. This is a rough neck, Deliverance type of venue. Monster trucks in the parking lot, young slob types in the parking lot. I should have read the signs and heeded my own warning but we wanted to try it. We don't anymore. I will never go near the Wichita Pub in Clackmas again! Instead we went to the Spaghetti Factory and spent 125 bucks on a great lunch. I hadn't eaten much all day and was hungry when i arrived to watch the end of the beaver game againts utah. I ordered a burger with fries(unsalted on both) a beer and a shot of tequila. The beer was cold and buger and fries tasted good and came as ordered and the beavers won. Before i even arrived back home my stomach was churning and several hrs. later i was sick as sick could be and got a second taste of my dinner this time with no football game and a better view of the toilet than i prefer to have. It isn't every day you find a place with a menu this varied--just saying. I'd been wanting to try this place for months, so I jumped at the chance when the wife suggested it. For the life of me, all I wanted was a BLT and was glad to find it piled high when it got to the table. The drinks are cheap, but you get a good pour--that's always a great surprise. Super slow when we went in, but unlike other Yelpers, we didn't find our service lacking. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. As I said, I got a BLT, the wife got a tasty burrito that bested all our favorite local Mexican restaurant. The little one had a tasty cheese pizza made out of three ingredients: a simple pice of bread, sauce, and cheese (you'd think that'd be phoning it in, but trust me, it wasn't). Solid food, cold beer, I'm a fan. This is the perfect place to come when you don't know what you want. They have good appetizers and good food. This isn't gourmet or white table cloth, so don't expect that. It is, however, very affordable, tasty and laid back. We had cheese sticks to start. They came out hot with a bowl of marinara - that's worth its weight in gold. Nothing worse than ordering cheese sticks and getting a tablespoon of sauce to accompany. Large quantity for the price. We also had side salads with our meal. Fresh salad (no brown lettuce or limp veggies to be found) and the dressing was thick and tasty. I had the fish, fried shrimp and chips. My husband had country fried steak. Both meals were HUGE (couldn't eat them all) and tasty enough to order them again. My shrimp were super crispy and the fish was large and flaky with a crisp crust. Needed to do some shopping at the mall, so decided to stop here for a Happy Hour visit afterwards. Upon entering, there was no sign telling us to seat ourselves or to wait, so we went ahead and seated ourselves. The whole restaurant is one giant room, and we weren't sure if we had to sit at the bar to get the Happy Hour. A waitress approached us on our way to a booth; when we asked about the Happy Hour, she told us it was for the whole restaurant. A little wonky to be ordering HH food next to a family in a booth, but whatever. Another waitress approached with regular menus, also letting us know that the HH menus were tucked in with the salt and pepper. Husband ordered the cheeseburger ($5)and a cup of clam chowder ($3); I ordered the cod and chips ($5) and the clam chowder. The chowder was a little thick, but as my husband pointed out--better too thick than too thin. Had a good flavor. I liked my cod and chips; frozen, of course, but decent quality, and the fries were good. Hubby is kind of a professional at HH cheeseburgers, and this one didn't even rate. Bun was way too big for the two puny patties, and it was bland. Despite other reviews, we found the service to be great. Drinks were kept full, waitress checked back in after getting each "course," and they were very friendly. Could be because the Blazers were in play-off mode tonight, so everyone was in a good mood. Yeah, never again. Just wanted a beer and snack. Ordered the wings and decided to go with there own sauce and not Frank's red hot. (Not a Frank's fan). Turns out it was just Frank's with a touch of seasoning. Not good! Wanted to order the gizzards, but they were out. Service was super slow, and apparently our server was not all there. Two pool tables and a dance floor with some spencer's special mirror-ball lights and a seperate dj booth. Daily specials including cheap tacos and burgers can be had quickly and cheaply, making this a special thing in the bar world here. Tucked away in the industrial strip no-man's land of massive warehouses, this place comes alive at night with folks who work a couple hundred yards down the road and they come off-shift and meet co-woorkers for a beer. The food is fast, fried and made with a special sauce of ambivalence, depression and abject desperation that seasons the flat-top with tasty, bitter spice...it makes the sliders even better. First time here. GF just had her golf lessons at Sah Ha Lee and we were hungry! When we parked we walked in and it looked like a country bar (Hence the name) and we sat down and looked at the menu's that were on the table. We waited for service, and waited when finally a big waiter that looked more like a bouncer came in and asked for our ID's. We provided the ID and ordered drinks. He came back gave us our drinks and asked what we would like. GF ordered the guacamole burger and I ordered this Withita Pub Burger that has swiss/chedder cheese with ham and lean ground beef. So we talked about her lessons and she felt she was starting to get comfortable with the game when our burgers arrived. The burgers were awesome! Moist and didn't taste nothing like a pub burger should taste like. The meat was fresh and must have been marinated as it melts in your mouth. Ever with you had a burger that just instantly regenerates its self like a scab on a wound? Their burgers is just that. The burgers also comes with your choice of fries, potato salad or a salad (I think). The onion rings or curly fries are an extra $1.50. The potato salad is really good, it appears to be made fresh. Nothing about it was soggy at all. The restaurant does have a policy that no one under the age of 21 can be in the place after 9. I thought this was a little strange since minors are allowed in certain parts of the place. There were a few tables that had to leave because of that rule. They could probably do more business during the weeknights. But it's their policy and I'm only a customer. Unlike the Milwaukie sister store, which suffers from some pretty unaccountably low ratings, as far as my experience there go, this Clackamas pub is way outta the way in the sticks for most city folk. But if you're heading out Damascus/Estacada/Mt. Hood Way ("It's never Boring"), there are certainly worse options for pub grub. B/c I work nights I am best acquainted w/their breakfast menu, which is fast, serviceable, and usually served up by someone pleasant. Then there's the libations...! Ooof! Don't take my word for it, check 'em out. Omg!! First of all went for breakfast and had biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were hard as a rock, I couldn't even cut them with a knife!! The potatoes were greasy with absolutely zero flavor. Came in for Father's day breakfast. I ordered the El Paso omelette with the hash browns crispy. Instead I got barely cooked ones. When I asked the waitress if that was considered crispy she replied, "I'm not cooking." ????? Obviously she isn't cooking she is a server. Isn't it the server's job to make sure the food ordered is what makes it to the table? She did put in for another order of crispy hash browns, but they came out more under cooked than the first order. I know the grill isn't broken because my omelette came out cooked all the way. I am sitting in the business writing this review waiting on my order to go. It's 730am not expecting anyone to jump with joy. But the attitude of displeasure that your having to answer a question about the food as I'm trying to be upbeat :-) at least for her. To show some gratitude that the business is open yet she still gives me a negative feeling vibe and look. Really the last person (server)had a great vibe an attitude. I Understand how hard they work so I try to be generous when I can. As I'm walking out theres an older gentleman looks like he's doing paperwork for his business. Service at Wichita is SO hit or miss. I've only ever had good luck at the Oregon City location, but this one is closest to my house so despite bad service many times in the past we decided to give it another try. Bad idea. We waited for 25 minutes while I was finally able to make eye contact with a very busy waitress serving in another section. She politely said someone would be right with us. No one came. She walked back by, and by this time there were two other tables waiting in our section, as well. As we were getting up to leave she then went and told the manager very loudly that we were just sitting there and no one had helped us; not sure what our waitress was doing. He rushed over, was very friendly, and took our drink and food order. Everything was fine and speedy past this point. I have been going to all of the Wichita locations for YEARS and love their food so much, the service just always sucks BAD. It's really sad because there are so many loyal customers that don't even get acknowledged. The times that the service sucks they aren't even that busy. read more

I just went to Wichita Pub, first restaurant since the Covid-19 stay at home orders. They had the tables that were in use plenty enough for distancing and did not let you congregate at the door while waiting to be seated. Those were two good things they did,but there is an issue with Covid-19 prevention...employees some wore masks but didn't cover there nose and the bartender did not even were one. I am not sure but I think that is required of employees at a bar restaurant. The food was pretty good as always and the waitress that dealt with me was nice and on top of things. We in Oregon, since some of the restrictions have been reduced have seen a big increase in covid-19 cases...people are just not taking this seriously enough! read more

We've lived in Milwaukie for a couple of years and have frequented Wichita because it's nearby and had reasonable service. This weekend, we went for brunch and I ordered a bloody mary. I got about two sips into it when I noticed something dark in my ice. I pulled it out and my husband and I inspected it, agreeing that it looked like rat poop. I called the waitress over and showed her, who agreed that it was rat poop with no concern on her face or in her voice. She asked us what we wanted to do about it, and my husband said that we wouldn't be comfortable eating there. She told us we couldn't leave until she cleared it with her manager. She came back and asked us again what we wanted to do. We told her that rat poop in the ice machine is disgusting and that we wouldn't be back and we left. So, there's that. read more
