My usual spot was closed and this was what was closest, honestly I regret it. I ordered the most basic meal, egg rolls and rare steak pho. As soon as I saw the egg rolls I knew I was going to be disappointed. They were not made with spring roll wrapper, they were made with wontons wrappers so they were puffed. The fish oil had a seasoning I could not make out but was not the best. I was really disappointed with the pho, the meat was cut too thick and too big I had to cut it to be able to eat it. The broth was more of a minty flavor rather than the salty bone broth flavor, and they didn't have any tendon. They served like 3 times the noodle which caused the broth to get cold too soon. They sliced the jalapeños super thin and didn't allow to add any spice to the broth and no basil either. Definitely would not recommend for basic pho and will not be back. Presentation of the food was good but the taste was just awful. I had ordered a large bowl of pho and spring rolls. Never seen a place that in the menu states if you want basil you have to ask, any other place just gives it to you, the broth had no flavor at all just tasted like boiled up water. The spring rolls felt loose in a way, the peanut sauce was served in a weird tiny bowl that you couldn't even dip the spring roll in it without it spilling everywhere. Ordered a medium pho and we feel like it's a small. Pho was tasty but small portion for the price. Then we ordered a spring roll but they failed to ask what kind of meat so by default we got shrimp. Boba was a total fail. That was not boba it was a flavored jelly pearls which did not go with Taro. Taro and strawberry do not mix. Andddd it was warm with a couple of Ice. Not blended at all. I really was impressed with this small restaurant. I had been reluctant to go as it is so close to Montwood High School and I feared it would be mobbed with school kids. I was wrong! I enjoyed the restaurant, which was quiet, a great big check mark for me. My hot tea was delicious. I ordered the all meat pho (15.95). Delicious. It was an unexpectedly rainy day so the soup just hit the spot. I really enjoyed my dining experience there and in fact ordered another flavor of hot tea while I watched the rain come down. There are few places that satisfy my cravings as much as this place and (shout out to another restaurant) halo-halo Filipino food across the street. Amazing authentic asian cuisine. Our first time here, we ordered beef tail pho, shrimp Thai salad, and Banh mi; everything was delicious. The owner/chef nailed it! I am Vietnamese, born and raised. Another great Vietnamese restaurant. Came here for the first time toady and was well impressed. Its a small place but elegantly and cleanly adorned. Nice touches of Vietnam. The menu isn't huge like other places but they have some unique stuff like pork belly bahn mi and oxtail Pho. I ordered the charbroiled beef bahn mi and crab wonton appetizer. Wow! The crab wontons are hands down the best I've had. The crabmeat is real; its not low quality and overloaded with cheese,just good quality crab in a delightfully light and crispy wonton skin. The wonton was not greasy and was great, served with a nice plum sauce. On to the Bahn mi; granted I've never had bahn mi before, but this was great. The bread was nicely toasted and seemed of high quality, the beef was perfectly charbroiled; juicy and tender and the combo of serrano chilis cilantro their unique sauce and pickled veggies gave it a great flavor profile. It wasn't huge keep in mind but it had plenty of beef and was filling for sure. Service was great; i was the only one there but i think the owner was manning the counter; very friendly and prompt. I intend to comeback to try their pho their salads and other charbroiled rice dishes. Everything is reasonably priced with the specialty pho being the priciest at 15.00. Decided to give this place a try because our go to Pho place is closed due to COVID. Large Brisket Pho: Great portion size, lacks flavor, too much vermicelli noodle, decent brisket portion. Beef Vermicelli: Not enough meat. Our takeout container was majority vegetables. Meat was ok, cut a little too thick for my liking and missed the "grilled" flavor. Overall, the food was so-so. Was really hoping it would be good. Don't think we'll try this place again, maybe only to try the Pad Thai. Viet on Zaragoza still top notch. read more

Ordered the vermicelli and the pho with boba thai tea. The prices are reasonable but the only reason I would give it 4.5 stars if I could is because the portion size for the vermicelli was smaller than I had hoped for $10. If it was a little bit more, it would've been perfect. The portion size for the pho was spot on, and that was for a medium! They definitely don't skimp on the beansprouts or the meat either. I was just caught off guard by the jalapenos and it's a shame there's no basil leaves or limes for the pho but it's fine. I thought the tapioca pearls in the boba would be sweetened but it was still good and I ended up liking either way after trying theirs. I've had better thai tea elsewhere but it was still good here and thai tea is hard to come by in El Paso. All in all, I still recommend this place. read more

Great customer service, quaint and serves beer/wine. The food was great, with exception of the brisket being tough in our Pho (our friend said that's rare since he's a regular). We started with the pork buns, which were good except the buns (which should be super soft) had hard spots in the centers like they weren't warmed properly. I also ordered the taro bubble smoothie and the bubbles were over-cooked and no longer had their circular shape and mushy, which was disappointing. The best part of the restaurant is the friendly staff. They have a desire to connect with you, which is always good. Nothing to complain about except, the Phd. There aren't that many Pho places around in El Paso. The obvious Pho places serve the best which are Pho Tre Bien, Pho An Loc, and Saigon Taste. They pretty much set the standard on how Pho should taste, especially for El Paso. I had the Beef Brisket and Meatball Pho. My first impression is that the soup was too watery. It's still better than the salty taste from Photastixs on Zaragoza/George Dieter. Unfortunately Wicked Pho's pho lacked flavor. The garnish plate had no Basil leaves, which I understand, they're a little bit pricy for restaurants. The meatballs were not even Asian Meatballs where they batter the fat to make it thick and chewy. The meatballs here were from Sam's Club or Costco. The Beef Brisket was great! Overall, my wife didn't like it at all. Her standards are higher simply because she's Vietnamese. Haha Sorry to the owners, for the price you sell the Pho, it's better to spend that same amount of money on quality Pho from the top restaurants. So, I asked the server how she wanted this review. Sugar coated, or right between the eyes. Right between the eyes was the response. Ok...if it hadn't have been for the egg rolls, the drive would t have been worth it. The broth was bland. No seasoning. No basil was offered, either. I had to ask for it. The oxtail was a bit too fatty. But that's just the cut, I get it. However there wasn't enough rare steak, or tripe...in fact, did I even get any tripe? I know I ordered it. Also, the brisket, and meatballs, all stingy. If I'm paying over $15 for all meat, load the bowl with meat! An average bowl at best. Now, whether the egg rolls were ready made or fresh, they were delicious. Although I did have to have them remade because the first batch was loaded with disgusting fish oil. Something I wasn't expecting, nor ever had served that way before. So to sum up, go for the egg rolls, if you have to fight off evening traffic from central EP to East EP. read more

Took us back to California. The smell coming out of the kitchen as you walk in is amazing. The music is very cool and creates a mellow vibe. Comfortable atmosphere. Good service. The spring rolls are large and fresh. The broths are flavorful. The ox tail and pork belly- Spicy Wicked Noodle soup broth is flavorful and not overly spicy. The pork belly and ox tail is tender and full of flavor. Savored till the last bite. I cant wait to go back to try more. I just want to start off by saying that this isn't authentic Vietnamese food, but still good to its own right. I think a lot of my qualms about this place is because I'm Vietnamese and I have eaten a lot of authentic Viet food. Service: The waiter was very nice. My friend and I met up on a Saturday for lunch around 1 pm. The restaurant was pretty empty except for another table. I liked our waiter and he was very warm and welcoming. Ambiance: It's a bit small but it's clean. The decor was definitely leaning towards tropical. Booth seats were a little hard and uncomfortable. Food: I ordered their Thai boba/bubble tea and it was good, pretty standard. For starters, I ordered the shrimp spring rolls (also known as summer rolls). IT was $5.50 for two, which I thought was a little expensive. I ordered the All Meat Pho and my friend ordered the pork vermicelli bowl (also known as Bun). My pho was good, definitely lots of meat and enough noodles to soup ratio. I had no complaints about it and it was tasty. Just so much food. You wouldn't get this in a regular pho place so if you want to try something unique, check this dish out. However, my friend's meal was...disappointing. Bun comes with a very specific type of dressing/sauce on the side. The dressing given was not only not what is usually used, but the sauce was also pretty bad tasting. We could have let it go if it actually tasted good. It was spicy and not flavorful. My friend had to ask for a side of fish sauce (because that's a huge part of making this sauce authentic). Price: I think the price was high for what you can usually pay at any normal pho place. Overall, would I come here again? Probably not, honestly. The price was a bit too high for what I think it deserves as well as the fact that I like my pho and Vietnamese food authentic. Ordered to go. I got the shrimp spring rolls, pork belly spring rolls, & pork belly fried rice w/ shrimp. The shrimp roll was okay, not bad but not the best I've had. The rice paper of the pork belly roll was torn right down the middle so everything was spilling out & made it hard to eat. The roll itself was okay. They weren't stingy with the meat. The fried rice was also okay, lots of meat but everything was missing something. It was all kind of bland. I had to add salt, soy sauce & pepper flakes to the rice but it didn't help much.
