I was visiting friends in Baltimore and we were looking for a spot with good food and an outdoor patio. We ended up at Wicked Sisters and they did not disappoint! We all tried different dishes (short rib, shrimp bowl, salmon bowl, and Peruvian chicken). I'll give my thoughts on the shrimp bowl as it was my dish of choice. Super flavorful and came out hot! I would definitely order it again! It was served with rice and a green curry sauce that was delicious! The one thing that I felt was out of place was the cucumbers. They can definitely leave that out! I also tried the homemade lemonade with vodka and the red sangria! Both good! Lastly, we shared the crab Mac and Cheese! Super good! Not joking when I say this is my favorite restaurant in Baltimore!! The menu (both brunch and regular) has something for everybody to enjoy. This could be for any and every occasion, as it has a comfortable feel but cuisine that is remarkable. My friends and I enjoyed some of the menu's most delicious items like the crab cake sandwich, Salmon BLT, brussel sprouts, mussels and Turkey Burger. The drinks are phenomenal. I had a late lunch here, few months back, and it was atrocious. When we walked in, like any other restaurant and requested if they had a table for 2. The host was offended that I dared walked in, thinking I can just get a table without reservations. Was I supposed to know the ins and out of the restaurant? How busy it gets? I don't even live in the neighborhood, I've seen it couple of times while driving by it when visiting and always wanted to try. Please don't hold outrageous expectations from your guests and customers. And he calls his manager over to ask if he can seat us, if there are any tables open, as if he were doing us an immense favor. Why has it become a norm to forget that we re paying customers, we re not walking in and demanding for free food? Anyways we were sat and eventually ordered some items off the menu. Out comes the most bland garlic cheese bread, the least cheesy Mac and cheese and COLD SOUP! We waited for what felt like an immensely long time for our server to come and ask us if everything was okay. The person who ordered soup had to wait and watch me eat my things for over 20 mins. We told the server and had the soup sent back for heating. What happen when it came back? Cold. Again. Won't be returning. read more

I love love love wicked sister's. I've been a couple of times; once for restaurant week, and another for happy hour and it has never dissapointed! they're happy hour drinks are killer and they're always priced very well so I never feel like I'm getting the short end of the stick whenever I go there. Today I ordered the bourbon barbecue wings and the crab mac and cheese to go because of COVID and I definitely know that not eating food hot while it's there has an impact on the experience but I would like to say that wicked sisters handles their food handoffs really really well. everyone they were super professional and everything was super clean so I had to appreciate that. When I got home to actually eat the food that's kind of when it said in that maybe it's best enjoyed at the bar. But that being said popping the mac and cheese into the toaster to get the breadcrumbs nice and crisp and the cheese all gooey, wasn't too hard to do. The crab mac and cheese had large lumps of crab meat so the flavor really came through. I wish just because they knew it was take out they laid the cheese on a little bit thicker I felt it was a little too light in the mac and cheese itself. Went here with my family and we had a blast. It is a smaller restaurant with street parking so I would recommend making a reservation before you arrive. All of our dishes were amazing! The menu items were unique like mussels with cheesy bread and potato chips, and the portion sizes are big (even the appetizers). Our waiter was very kind and even ran after us when we forgot to take our to go box. Defiantly a place I will be visiting again in the near future. read more

Tremendous burgers but I've had better Brussel sprouts. French fries are large and fresh cut. Venue made for a comfortable and relaxing late afternoon COVID19 outing for three. One last comment...the burger was tremendous, big and juicy...too juicy for me. My son only needed two napkins, but I needed a knife and fork. The ole BnC, her sis, and I sat outside since it was a nice day and the ámbiáncé (everything gets an accent) was very much "hipster backyard dining" experience. The server brought out this fan thing to keep the flies away and a candle for the mosquitoes. Smooth move, Omar. Way to keep me happy, because outside was NOT my decision. We were seated at a spot upstairs with bar chairs. Since I have some lower back issues, I asked if we could be seated at one of the many tables open with chairs with backs, but we were told they had a lot of reservations, and couldn't be seated at a different table. While we had no issue with the reason, the problem laid with how we were told-- very rudely, as if we had no right to ask, and made to feel like a nasty "Karen" for doing so. It was clear we were not welcome, so we left. As someone who's worked a customer facing job, I am aware it can be frustrating, but when a customer is asking POLITELY, you have no right to speak to them that way. Being told no is not a problem. Being publicly and loudly scolded for asking is. This waiter was also quite rude to my mother. To the credit of the host, they were apologetic when we explained why we were leaving. However, we will never return here, and urge people looking for a pleasant meal to look somewhere else. read more

I will preface this by saying I'm usually not a big brunch fan, but let me tell you...eating at Wicked Sisters is a must!! It took me awhile to swing by because the parking situation was always intimidating to me, but street parking was easy to find on the Sunday afternoon that I went. Making a reservation is definitely the move, as it was pretty busy when I went. Our hostess and servers were very friendly and moved us right along to our table upstairs. The food was simply AMAZING! We went when the Brunch menu was still open so that is what my friends and I selected from. I think I typically don't love brunch places because the menus are generally the same, but the selection at Wicked Sisters had a great mix of brunch classics and unique options! This could turn in to one of those restaurants where I start to bring all my friends so I can impress them with my good finds ;) Got the turkey burger this time with an over easy egg and duck fat fries. Now I've already expressed the pure joy I feel in my heart (and my tastebuds) for their duck fat fries, but it bears repeating. Please, whatever you do, don't miss them!!! Now, I know I'm extremely late to the party. Like really late. But I just started eating over easy eggs about a year or two ago. So...now brace yourself...this is the first time it's ever made it onto a burger for me :0 And now I'm not sure if I can ever eat another burger without one!!! Even aside from the eggy delight - this burger was done right with cheesiness galore and guacamole goodness. I highly recommend! Muscles were formidable app shared by 3 of us, and the dessert menu all sounded amazing. So hard to choose, but we went with the berger cookie ice cream sundae and the traditional Smith cake. What separates some of the best restaurants in Baltimore against some of the most mediocre is having a clear, concise vision for your restaurant. With Wicked Sisters, they claim to be an American restaurant, but during restaurant week, they veered into uncharted territory, exploring: Italian/Asian fusion, American, South American, and Japanese/ Mexican fusion. Wicked Sisters reminds us why bother doing fusion when you can't even get your own American flavors right. Of the 6 dishes we had (Ponzu tuna with guacamole, asian caprese salad, South American pesto chicken, NC ribs with coleslaw and baked beans, cinnamon rolls, and a toffee blondie), half of the meal was either inedible or incredibly disappointing. First the bad news: the ponzu tuna, the north Carolina ribs, and cinnamon rolls, were cooked/ baked very abhorrently. The tuna was overcooked and it was honestly confusing why it was coupled with guacamole. The NC ribs were dry and lacked smokiness. The coleslaw was beyond disgusting, with it solely being just mayonnaise and cabbage, with no vinegar or seasoning. (The beans were amazing though!) The worst part of the meal by far were the cinnamon rolls.... it was dry, rock hard, and banal. Without even tasting it, you knew it would be bad... However, on the bright side, the caprese salad, chicken, and blondie were great. The caprese salad was light and well seasoned. The chicken (although overcooked and a tad dry) had nice flavors that were nicely balanced with the corn and couscous. And the blondie had a nice flavor without being cloyingly sweet. All in all, I'm fairly disappointed with wicked sisters. Why they served us obviously dry and insipid cinnamon rolls is beyond me. She handled our party of 13+ well. When asked about the menu she let us know her opinion on great food. This was my first time here and the worlds famous Brussels sprouts I had been hearing about she informed us they were out of them. They were also out of shrimp ‍. I was here for a ggf bday celebration so to me leaving wasn't an option. I browsed the menu and found a fav of mine- catfish. I chose catfish as my entree . It was blackened with grits and pineapple salsa. I love salsa. The pineapple salsa was very good. The catfish was a little too blackened for my liking. I did eat half and took the rest home for leftovers. It was good the next day. Back to the Brussels sprouts... the manager came over toward the end of the night and J mentioned the sprouts. He says We May have a small order downstairs but that's all we have. Low in behold, he came back up for some Brussels sprouts! Yes the whole table cheered. When our group of seven - including three small kids - found ourselves leaving the Lyric theater without lunch plans, I thought we were out of luck, and certainly weren't going to have a delicious lunch. And the group was skeptical when a Yelp searched turned up Wicked Sisters as a great place for kids. But: this place was amazing. Terrific food in its own right (I had the burger, my wife had the Wicked Rachel) such that I'd go back kids or no, friendly and accommodating staff, and a great setup for kids including robot menus. Came here for a work lunch just as it was opening and got a great little table in the corner. Lunch was great - I ordered the salmon BLT which was wonderfully cooked, and came with a side of thick-cut fries with a wonderful herb seasoning. The restaurant got moderately busy while we were there but due to the layout it never got too loud, which was a nice bonus. Plenty of free street parking on side streets as well. I've been to Wicked Sisters a few times before with some coworkers for happy hour drinks, but today was my first time here for a sit-down lunch because of their Baltimore Restaurant Week lunch deal. For my first course, I chose Chipotle Shrimp which was SO GOOD you guys. Like really really good. Only complaint there is that I would have literally ate 3 whole plates worth - it was a little small for my big appetite :) For my second course, I went with the chili rubbed pork Pita wrap and a side salad. The pork was realllly well seasoned and had great flavors. The arugula and tomatoes in the wrap added a nice burst of freshness, but I kind of wish they were maybe tossed in the vinaigrette first so they blended more and brought the whole wrap together, but it still tasted great regardless. My friend ordered the Mussels as her second course and said they were very juicy and delicious, and that her cheesy bread was perfect for sopping up all the bits of the reduction sauce. The food was good and the staff were nice. I just would rather dine in instead of doing carry out. After you order it was nowhere to stand without being in the way. Regardless the food was great. My Brussels Sprouts were amazing as was my curry shrimp bowl. Another downside is the parking. I know it's never really good in the hampden area but it definitely is difficult to park here between the traffic and the congestion. Firstly, the restaurant has a really laid back vibe with multiple floors to be seated on. We came here because we saw them on Good Eats but I'll have to say, it was underwhelming. The best thing we had were the crab dip and fries. The drinks were subpar. We wanted something sweet but the ones that were recommended really weren't. Almost all of the drinks have ginger in them so if you don't like it, have the modify it. The short ribs were ok, would've been much better if they actually had the smoked Gouda mashed potatoes. The roasted red potatoes I got instead were not seasoned at all and neither were the carrots. The crab cake was good but it needed to be fried a little longer. The mac 'n cheese was under seasoned and really seemed to be an after thought. We're likely not to return. read more
