The food here is consistently good. Recently had the pork belly poke bowl- pork was crispy and delicious. The shrimp with garlic sauce was even better- we could have drank that sauce. The variety of drinks is also great. We sat in a booth in the bar and service was good from the bartender. The restaurant itself is nice. Would definitely like to come back for that taco tower!

Went here for a retirement lunch for my colleague. I have always wanted to try this place since I have heard so many good things. The server never told us our name but he was attentive. I ordered the confetti bowl since it was Ash Wednesday and observing. It was good. My only complaint is the black beans were too crispy. I personally like mine on the softer side. Also, add more black beans and less rice. The rice filled me up quickly. My colleagues enjoyed their meals. Would love to come back when its a non- work related event. We also were able yo bring our own desserts and our server was kind enough to give us a box for the extra desserts.

Figured it was time for an updated review. Came here with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday. He had his heart set on the taco tower and the birthday boy gets what he wants. For our taco selection, we went with a double order of the short rib tacos and an order of birria tacos. The tower says it feeds 2-4, but there were 5 of us and we still had tons of leftovers. To be fair, we may have gone a little too hard on the chips and queso while we waited. Everything on the tower was phenomenal, except the buffalo chicken taquitos as they were a bit dry. But the house-made hot sauce totally saved them. Service was awesome as always. This place is still one of my favorite spots and the meal had me even more excited to have Hoopla cater my wedding. :-)

We came to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. I have been here once before and I don't know why I haven't been back more often. The food is fresh, exciting and so dag gone delicious. The staff is personable and gracious and it feels like family here. I do not eat meat and there are so many options for me. OMG nothing but great things to say. Grab a friend or two and rush on over. The music, the vibe, the lighting are so FUN FUN FUN. Our server Alden was da bomb!!!!!

I really really really love this place! The steak street tacos are some of the best around. Smooth and tender steak with corn tortillas, diced onion, cilantro and lime. Muy Rico! Excellent guacamole and delicious cocktails. Service here is always great - positive attitudes and attentive. Cute decor and plenty of seating, free parking and a nice bar area.

Friendly hostess and very colorful/fun environment. Our server was kind and attentive. My guest enjoyed their meal so much it was devoured in 15 minutes! I would love to return and check out their HH (if they have one) and to give the shrimp fajitas another chance as mine was a smidge overcooked but enjoyable visit altogether

This place was really nice. Went on taco Tuesday so of courts is was packed. Service was a tad slow but the food was really good. Also the waiters were very nice and accommodating. We had a reserve for 5 however it took 25 minutes after 5 to be seated. I ordered beef tacos and they were bomb. It came with rice and some sauce that was also very good. Drinks were soso but the price of everything on taco Tuesday was very nice. I would try this again on a day that is not Tuesday.

We Sat outside on a nice Sat night. Service was attentive and friendly. We were big fans of the traditional margarita with espolon tequila. We are light . Chips, salsa and guac. The calamari came out crispy with peppers on top and 2 dipping sauces. Chimichuri and smoky aoli. Nice app. The shrimp and garlic app is hard to explain. 5 large shrimp in a cream sauce with chunks of bread submerged. Not bad, just not what we expected. Tacos looked good walking by. Next time for dinner.

Had a good time yesterday with fellow Yelpers for Taco Tuesday. Was my first time, but it won't be my last! A few of us sat at the bar initially. We were able to partake in happy hour right before it ended at 7. I got a traditional frozen margarita. It was good. We were offered chips and salsa by Whitney who was great! The salsa looked like ketchup but actually tasted better than it looked. We had a reservation but it took awhile to get us all seated. The place was packed! Our server, Mike was great - very attentive and helpful. The "smokey spicy figgy" cocktail was really good. It has mezcal and I appreciate that smokey taste. All of us ordered tacos. Since it was Taco Tuesday, all taco entrees were $15. I opted for the birria tacos which comes with pork but I asked to sub it for beef, and they obliged. I thought it was just ok. It was bland I heard they gave a good brunch. I'll be back soon.

Mexican fusion? Count me in!! Love this spot. Upbeat, cool, fun atmosphere. Can do the chefs counter to watch the kitchen, dine outside in their spacious patio area, or hit the bar for an amazing happy hour! They take a really great perspective on traditional Mexican cuisine, they certainly add the fun. Tuna poke Bowl is the biggest highlight for me, so fresh and the flavors pair excellently. Also their queso is chefs kiss. They have something for every pallet, definitely my go to spot when I'm craving a mojito and some tuna. Service is also a highlight, everyone is so attentive and friendly. Can't go wrong, check them out!

This place is great for brunch, lunch, dinner, or happy hour! The menu features classics with a twist as well as some more eclectic dishes. I've never had a bad meal here! The plantain wings are incredible, as well as the loaded yucca fries. The service is excellent, the drinks are delish, and they have indoor and outdoor patio seating as well. Worth checking out for any meal!

As always, the food here was AMAZING! The buffalo chicken taquitos were incredible and it was my first time trying those. The sauce on the fajitas is incredible. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. We got seated in the bar because the place was so packed, but it was actually much more quiet than the restaurant part itself! I can't wait to go back.

Pretty awesome spot which I've passed multiple times but this was my first time visiting! The space is super cute and the staff were pretty friendly! They have the option of both indoor or outdoor seating with an array of menu items. I ordered the rose sangria and the fajitas with chicken and shrimp. Everything was hot and fresh! The menu had so many offerings. I will most definitely be returning.

Let's start with the beans... finally, real beans! Thick, creamy, flavorful, and not swimming in water like you find at so many other places. It sounds like a small detail, but trust me--it makes all the difference. The crema? Fresh, rich, and delicious. Again, not watery or runny. You can tell they take pride in using quality ingredients instead of cutting corners. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the plantains were sweet and caramelized just right, and every bite tasted homemade. Now... let's talk about the pupusa. I've eaten pupusas all over the DMV and in many different states, so I don't say this lightly... this is one of the best pupusas I've ever had. The masa had the perfect texture, the filling was generous, and the flavor tasted authentic from the very first bite. Here's the funny part... I took a few bites and immediately thought, "Nope... this is way too good to finish here." I asked for a to-go box because I wanted to enjoy the rest for lunch the next day. The gentleman helping us smiled and even brought me an extra bag of curtido without me asking. That small gesture made my day. And yes... that pupusa was just as incredible the next day! The restaurant itself is spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with colorful murals that make you feel like you've taken a little trip to Central America. The staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely happy to make sure we enjoyed our meal. If you're anywhere near this area, do yourself a favor and stop by. And if you're an hour away like I am... it's still worth the drive. Great food has no expiration date on distance, and I can already tell you I'll gladly make the trip again just to work my way through the rest of the menu. Thank you, Delicias Dayana, for reminding me what authentic homemade food should taste like. I'll definitely be back... probably sooner than my waistline would like!

The food wasn't bad because I enjoyed the carne asada. However, the rice looked and tested like Uncle Ben's. Some of the wings didn't have a lot of meat on them. The empanadas were interesting. Essentially they used maduros and put a sweet vanilla filling. I didn't particularly like them but it's just personal preference.

She has always been wanting to try this place. And she absolutely loved it. Clavel has been in the Remington neighborhood since 2015. Mainly a family/minority owned taqueria and mezcaleria with deep Sinaloa roots. One thing I absolutely love here is the ceviche. My favorites are the Aguachile( shrimp cured in lime and spicy cilantro pesto). The salmon crudo was straight fire and I always love the ponzu tuna. You can never go wrong with the queso fundido. And not pictured were the tacos. We also got a few tacos to share for the table. The barbacoa de borrego and the El lucahdor( fish taco) is my favorite. And their cocktails are to die for.
